Her friend was a little too excited to be god mother. Scarlet thought. Honestly, she didn’t picture Ezrah as the motherly type. She was not even one of those who regularly ate the hell fruit. Her actions right now were quite contrary to her normal behavior.

Carolyn and the others went back to their duties, but Halley stayed glued to Frost’s side. Frost did more snow magic for her and she clapped.

He looked at Scarlet and said, "I get along really well with kids. I can be the godfather if you need one."

"Back of the line Frosty." Hawk told him.

Just as Scarlet expected, Hawk reacted to Frost’s words after all, if anyone was going to be godfather, it would be the guy with the huge crush on the godmother.

"Where is the baby Scarlet?" Ezrah ignored the two men and gripped Scarlet’s shoulders.

Scarlet pushed her Ezrah away and said, "He is not a baby."

"You call him baby all the time." Ezrah reminded her.

Every conversation they had which involved Justin Scarlet always called him her baby. Initially, Ezrah actually thought that Justin was an infant. It wasn’t until she saw pictures that she realized the truth.

"I will go and see if he is awake." Cecily announced. If a royal prince wanted to be her great grandson’s godfather, it was a blessing for their house.

The minute she left the kitchen, Cecily rushed her steps and found the nearest corner from where she could make a private call on an emergency line.

Her call woke the emperor and empress up.

"Leave us." he commanded the guards who were inside their bedroom.

"I apologize for waking you up your highnesses." In a soft compliant voice, Cecily apologized.

The emperor covered his body with a robe and so did the empress then they switched the call to video hologram one

"What prompted you to call so early on an emergency line? The emperor asked her.

Cecily looked around carefully from side to side and then she said, "There is a foreign prince here, in our castle, right now."

She went straight to the point and captured the attention of the emperor in doing so.

"Go on." he said.

"Some guests, three of them showed up in the castle today as Scarlet’s friends. One of them is a crown prince from a planet called Teranova. He has some kind of special power, he created snow out of nowhere." she explained.

Again, she looked around like a thief who was scared to get caught with her hand in the cookie jar.

The emperor and empress took in this information and different thoughts travelled through their minds. They would talk about it privately, not with Cecily.

"And the other two?" The empress asked.

"They came with him so I assume that they are from the same place. Maybe they are his guards, I cannot be certain. I did not want to make it so obvious that I was fishing for information. The female offered to be Justin’s godmother and the prince his godfather."

"I can see why you called us immediately." The emperor said in a low voice.

If Scarlet agreed to this, it would just involve Justin, the entire Wu family could be dragged into the politics of another empire.

Even simple relationships like those were different as long as it involved a member of the royal family.

"We need to see for ourselves." The empress suggested.

"We will be attending the party, you can expect us in an hour."

"I will notify every related party." Cecily said.

The emperor ended the call on his end.

In the kitchen, a brown cat walked in and jumped up on the kitchen counter. Everything that Cecily said, it conveyed to Scarlet.

"Get down Bom-Bom, you cannot play around the food." Fey carried the cat and put it down.

The three reapers recognized the spirit cat for what it was and they knew that it was communicating with Scarlet. She had a lot of spirit animals here. They could sense their presence in the castle.

As they quietly enjoyed the tea and snacks they had been given, they watched the television and listened to the conversations around.

Scarlet was decorating a cake, designing it to match the mickey mouse theme of the party. Initially, she had planned to go with a baby shark theme but after the flood, it would not be viewed well by the citizens.

"How many cakes have you baked?" Carolyn asked her.

"Ten." she answered. "One five tier cake and five separate ones. We are expecting two hundred twenty little children. Each of them must eat a generous piece. If I attended a party and I didn’t get cake, I would not be very happy."

Carolyn and Fey whole heartedly agreed. Cake was the best.

"And so would I." a deep voice came from the entrance to the kitchen.

With a bright smile on her face, Scarlet looked up because that voice belonged to her husband. Her lips parted and her hands stopped moving.

Her friends, the grim reapers had turned their heads at the sound of the deep voice. Ezrah turned her head from the tall, handsome imposing man to her friend and she knew__, this was the human that Scarlet was crazy about.

The way she was radiating sunshine and energy just because he had walked into the kitchen told the entire story.

Esong, meanwhile, paused his steps when he noticed the guests. His body language changed and he suddenly became tense as if he had sensed a threat. He clenched his jaw and stared at them sharply.

Everyone held their breaths as tension suddenly invaded the kitchen. What or who had made the general angry?

"These are my friends." Scarlet said.

She had to intervene before someone threw a punch unnecessarily.

Frost unexpectedly jumped up and extended a hand towards Esong.

"I am the second prince of Teranova, Damien Frost Kilert. Perhaps we should have a private talk, general Esong."

"We should, young Frost." Esong answered.

Neither one of them bothered to explain their relationship to the confused people in the room as they left. Scarlet, especially was troubled.

With all the suspicions around Esong’s humanity and now a prior relationship or knowledge of Frost, a grim reaper. What in the world was going on?
