"Stop him, do not let him do anything stupid up there. Get the crimina out of there." Zorl shouted instructions to the other RGB officers.

It was bad enough that the impulsive mecha king was here but flying in as well were his close cohorts. This was not an RGB issue, hell, wasting food was technically not a crime.

They didn’t need to fly in all armed as if they were coming to confront a mutated beast.

RGB officers, under the command of captain Zorl went up as well, and hovered around the man.

Zorl, himself went up because he wanted to end the situation before it escalated. Esong was still distracted momentarily, checking on his wife.

"Take him." Captain Zorl instructed them.

The officers did not hesitate in flexing their muscles and grabbing two of the man’s arms. Even though the tomato was not a dangerous weapon, he had attacked the governor of the planet.

What he had done was crime, one for which he would pay.

Esong moved his arm out to strike the criminal and Zorl caught it in time, holding it up.

"Move." Esong warned him, in a low, deep and threatening voice.

If it were any other officer, they would be on their knees, sweating and willingly handing over the prisoner. But Zorl was not any other officer. He could almost match Esong toe to toe in a physical fight.

He was also not frightened by Esong’s menacing gaze. Whatever the mecha king dished out, he could take it.

"Think before you act. There are many eyes here general Esong." he told him in a low voice.

"He attacked my wife." Esong said through gritted teeth.

On Zorl’s face, a sneer was formed. "Your wife is not some helpless weak woman. She is the governor, a strong one who is worthy of respect. Do not demean her by making it appear as if she needs to hide behind you for protection."

Esong’s nostrils flared and his upper lip trembled.

Everyone was tense, those who were close to the action and those who were far. Even those who were watching from home were tense.

Word quickly spread that the mecha king and an RGB captain were about to come to blows. Captain Zorl was one of the most well known RGB captains on the Sunstar. His cold attitude, good looks and great body had made him famous among the women.

It was also well known that he was dating reporter Jelly and some quick witted individuals had written a few fan fictions about the small beauty who tamed the cold man.

This matter therefore generated a lot of interest.

On star net, a poll was quickly started.

Who will win this fight?

Citizens were already voting and sharing the poll and footage of the image when Zorl rushed in and caught Esong’s arm was spreading like a wild fire.

In the Langais home, professor Sham was looking in disbelief at his own wife, Zorl’s own mother voted for Esong.

The mother had betrayed her son, he sighed and thought.

If that was not awkward enough, back at the scene, some individuals who were live streaming the event switched their drones and cameras from Zorl and Esong to reporter Jelly.

Shouldn’t she be biting her nails or lips nervously? They thought she would be sobbing or something. Instead, the reporter was watching as if she had no ties to anyone up there.

She was even ordering one of her colleagues to get a close up of the faces of the men involved in the confrontation.

"Reporter Jelly, can I interview you tonight on my show?" a reporter closest to her asked.

"No." she answered coldly.

She did not even look to see who was making the request.

Jelly’s colleagues wondered who was having an effect on who between her and Zorl. She had never been this cold before she started dating him.

"Reporter Jelly, how worried are you about your boyfriend right now?" The same reporter tried a different angle.

Jelly turned her head to her right and glared at that reporter with a fiery look in her eyes. He smiled nervously and looked away from her.

Jelly pinched her clothes arm, and pulled him down so that she could whisper something to him. "Bring their lips closer and activate the lip reading settings. We should know what they are saying."

Jelly was not the only one who wanted to know what they were saying.

Those who were closest could hear them though and they wondered if this situation would end easily. The general was determined to beat up his wife’s attacker.

"So you want me to backdown and let that son of a bitch get away with it? My wife’s strength and my duty to defend her are two different things."

"I too have a duty to defend him from you so if you try to touch him I will do whatever it takes to stop you." Zorl told him.

"You will defend the man who has attacked your governor? The woman that has single handedly elevated all of your lives" Esong responded with a scoff.

"I don’t like it but the law is the law." Zorl answered with a neutral expression on his face.

"Then so be it." Esong declared.

Scarlet had had enough and she came forward and tugged on Esong’s arm. She shook her head.

"Let go, honey, let it be." she told him.

Esong’s resolve lightened up a bit and he grunted.

"Fine, but to be clear I am only letting go because my wife says so. If she had not said it, you would be face down on the ground inhaling dust now, captain."

"Oh yeah, I would love to see you try it general." Zorl replied equally threatening in his tone.

Esong growled, the deep sound coming from deep in his throat.

Scarlet rolled her eyes and pulled him away from Zorl. These two were moving so far from the issue at hand and into the territory of their rivalry.

"Let’s go home." she whispered to him.

"And him?" he asked her.

She tightened her grip on his arm, looked into his eyes and slowly moved her hand into his.

"It doesn’t matter. We can deal with it later, just take me home."

He could not tell if she was being vulnerable or simply tired. All he knew was that he would willingly do for her whatever she requested from him and if she wanted to go, he would take her away.

He lifted her up, princess carry style and held her close to his chest. The wings of his armor popped out and he flew up with her, taking her away from the craziness.

Those who were left behind wondered if this was a romantic moment or maybe the governor was injured. Either way, the opening of Life line was an event to be talked about and nothing in what was being talked about was related to what the company did.

As soon as Esong flew away with Scarlet, a shoot to kill drone carried the criminal away by the arms and the crowds started to disperse.

Mid flight, a swift bird dove from nowhere and ripped into the criminals’ chest with very sharp claws and disappeared above in the clouds.

He screamed in pain and the RGB officers who were following the drone found themselves in the midst of confusion.

"Shit!" Zorl cursed. "Turn the drone around and send him to the hospital first."
