Scarlet had just spent twenty minutes giving a lecture on different types of potatoes and listing down all the recipes which she had taught her loyal viewers over the many months since her arrival.

She rubbed Justin’s head and smiled because he was eating so adorably. His cheeks were covered in ketchup. She wiped them for him with a wet wipe and then allowed him to go back to his eating.

[Mommy Scarlet has wiped my cheeks and I am all clean now.]

[As always Justin eats in a cute way. He reminds me of the kitten I have just adopted.]

She picked up two tomatoes and held them up to the screen. "Okay, so let’s talk tomato soup. There has been a boom in the harvest of tomatoes this month, and the market is over flowing with their abundance. I have seen some people asking if there are ways to eat tomatoes other than raw or cooked with other ingredients so I have come with an answer, tomato soup."

Scarlet noticed these comments as they were blown up since those who asked attached gifts to them.

"So, I am going to start off by adding some butter into a pan. As you noticed I already put this on medium heat. We want to make sure that the ingredients don’t burn. I have seen some of you sharing images of foods you have burned while attempting to cook on high heat.

I think the one who shocked me the most is the individual who burned boiled eggs. How do you burn boiled eggs?" she raised her hands and chuckled.

On the broadcast, director Rodney’s assistant quickly located the image and shared it.

After saying that, she picked up some chopped garlic and added it to the pan. She picked up a hand held whisk and mixed it slowly. After that, she added flour.

"Lady Scarlet." Director Rodney called her.

Scarlet looked up and Rodney pointed to his mouth.

Scarlet looked at the camera and laughed at herself. "Silly me, I forgot to tell you what I was doing, my apologies dear viewers. Okay, so to the butter I have added garlic and little bit of flour.

All measurements are on the bottom of the screen so remember to look out for that. Next I am going to add salt, basil and pesto. I am using powdered basil this time round folks not the leaves. When you are recreating this recipe do the same because sometimes it’s good to keep the recipe as it is. No adventure whatsoever needed."

"In goes our milk. Remember I said creamy tomato soup so that means milk or cream. But you guys are experts at this now and I don’t need to explain the basics. "With one hand, she mixed the milk into the other ingredients in the can and with another she dragged over a red and white can.

"Introducing diced canned tomatoes, these are new on the market buy them and use according to your needs." She poured a whole can of diced tomatoes into the pan.

"What’s tomato soup without tomato paste?"

She added tomato paste after asking that question.

"Add some sugar and then mix with your hand first before bringing out this cute mechanical whisk to crush everything together and make a thick soup." She said.

She looked at the time and then the camera.

"I thought this would take me ten minutes to prepare but I was wrong. I have done it in eight."

Feeling proud of herself, she poured some soup with a spoon into three bowls and placed them on a tray.

"Uhm, I taught you all how to make grilled cheese sandwiches. Guess what goes best with tomato soup?"

[Grilled cheese sandwiches.]

She pointed to the entrance of the kitchen and the cameras turned that way. In came her mother, Cecily and Emory.

She had invited her mother and Cecily but Emory invited herself. The woman was like a leech ever since Carolyn’s engagement announcement. She was now constantly around the Su’s, being helpful polite and kind.

The three women waved at the cameras and found seats around the kitchen island. The television crew attached sensors to them and connected them to the live broadcast. Gertrude, Anna and Coral distributed the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches to them.

"Thank you for coming ladies." Scarlet told them, with a big smile.

"I am happy to be here." Cecily replied first, quite eager and excited. Her eyes had not moved away even once from the camera.

"I can’t wait to taste this. I am happy to be here as well." Her mother said.

"It was an honor to be invited." Emory added.

Watching from the locker room with a couple of his friends, Elroy snorted. He had been around when Scarlet invited their mother and Cecily. Emory Wu had not been invited so how could she be honored?

"What’s wrong?" one of his buddies asked.

"Nothing, I am just watching someone whitewash her history." He answered.

"Shouldn’t we be practicing?" another asked.

They had a friendly match against a team coming from the capital in a four days. Half of that team was retired mecha warriors.

The women on the screen tasted the tomato soup and the players licked their lips.

"It can wait." Elroy told the others. Which one of them would practice right now when their minds were elsewhere?
