With his refusal to make a spontaneous confession or defend his actions, Zorl and Esong handed the criminal off to other officers.

He was probably going to be on the painful receiving end of a mind search.

Things were wrapped up quickly and all in the supermarket was returned to its peaceful state.

"I think we have done enough shopping. Let’s just go home so that I can enjoy the rest of my last hours with you." Esong approached Scarlet and said.

He patted Severus on the head and scratched behind his eyes.

"You are such a good boy Severus. I will leave my wife with enough money to feed you ten steaks for a month daily."

Severus barked out twice. "Yes please."

Esong looked at Flan and wondered why this one had not barked or reacted to the drugs. Was it still in training?

"I will give you some as well but it won’t be as much. I am not being unfair, it’s just the way the world works. Learn how to work hard, okay." He explained himself to Flan.

"Pft!" Scarlet laughed. Why was he working so hard to explain himself to the hounds?

She stood up, and the hounds got on their paws as well.

"Let’s go, we have a bike riding date, a game at the 3d chess park and we are going dancing.

Tomorrow, we visit the temple, cook and pack you fresh meals and say our goodbyes. We have a full itinerary."

With an arm around her waist, they left the supermarket slowly and engaged I conversation. They did not even notice Jelly and Zorl who were leaving at the same time as them.

"When I return we are visiting the fairy villages." Esong told her.

"Maybe we should buy Justin a house there." Scarlet suggested.

"Is it for him or you?"

Their voices faded into the distance as they got in the car and returned to the castle.

Six days passed after the supermarket incident and the news that the governor’s dog had captured a drug smuggler on a casual walk in the supermarket was still everywhere.

BSTV had purchased the camera footage of the take down from the privately owned supermarket owner and played it all on the news.

Something to do with 0N3 was serious and it caught the attention of everyone in the Sun star.

On Allynet, people from other planets were also mentioning incidents related to the drug and everyone was wondering where it originated.

Scarlet had heard from the banshee that some kind of interplanetary contraband task force was being formed secretly and recruitment was going on.

That was not her business really, it was the emperor’s to deal with. Her business was a new proposal forwarded by captain Zorl for a special dog training facility to aid in combating the smuggling of drugs like ON3.

Also, the We love Severus fan club was circulating a petition for him to receive a national reward as a heroic dog and guardian of the Blue star.

The petition had been signed by over twenty two million people and the emperor had relented.

Scarlet, now found herself holding a full press conference in the lobby of her castle. Severus was there, of course as the reason for the conference.

Captain Zorl was here too, dressed officially. He was standing next to Severus rigidly with his arms behind his back.

The man was always rigid, and serious. How did Jelly manage to get beneath his skin? Was he cold outside and all mushy like a banana on the inside?

The white cat did say he cried when he had to get an injection.

It was difficult to reconcile this hardened man with the one who cried at the sight of a needle.

Scarlet had these random thoughts because she was waiting idly for Blad to calm down the reporters so that she could speak.

"Thank you everyone for coming." Scarlet said slowly once the reporters became orderly.

Some of them had come from the capital and other stars because this conference was announced two days ago.

"I have other business to tend to so I would like to get straight to the point. Last week, my dog Severus Su the 31st, committed a great deed when he took down an ON3 smuggler in Boosy supermarket.

He was swift and courageous, taking down the criminal in one go and by doing so, he saved the lives of all the people who would have fallen prey to the vile drug.

ON3, is a deadly drug, it ends lives and ravages families. If you know anybody that is struggling with this addiction, please seek help for them immediately at the nearest rehabilitation center. If you also know someone that sells or makes ON3, please report this to the nearest RGB center or simply give them a call.

I believe that it is our duty to safeguard ourselves and all of our loved ones from danger and untimely death. Always remember, that you are your brother’s keeper.

She stopped talking, gulped and touched the shiny blue medal which was sitting on a tray that was made from heavy gold.

She held the medal up and said, "By the decision of the emperor and the royal household, Severus has been granted the title of guardian lord of the Sun star.

He has also been given a medal of bravery, a monetary reward of one hundred ninety thousand nine nine star coins and a year long supply for assorted meats."

She bent down and put the medal around Severus neck.

The hound which was proud valiantly faced the reporters who took pictures rapidly and loudly.

Online, people were already praising or lamenting over Severus’s good fortune.

"A dog makes more money than I do. I quit, someone please turn me into a dog."

"Way to go Severus, you are so cool."

"The greedy dog gets even more meat!! Hooray for it."

"The emperor really listened to us and rewarded Severus. Maybe we should start a petition to lower the costs of watching mecha fights."

Scarlet faced her own questions from the reporters and a swerved as many as she could.

She stepped aside and captain Zorl updated the reporters on the ongoing investigation into the man they arrested whose identity was withheld.

The press conference was wrapped up in just thirty minutes and Scarlet quickly went back inside the castle where the usual camera crew of BSTV was waiting for her.

She took a sip of water, and looked at the camera.
