Chapter 337: Don’t ask

When Esong saw her later on, she was very sweaty and her hair had bits of small leaves and twigs. It almost like she had taken a tumble and rolled down in the woods.

He looked her up and down, and then he rotated around her, observing every inch of her body.

"You look....., interesting." he said.

"Thank you." she responded, very sarcastically.

"Might I trouble you by asking where you disappeared to?" he asked.

"Don’t ask." she replied. She picked all the twigs she could reach out of her hair and threw them on the ground.

He raised his right hand and picked out the small leaves which were stuck in her hair. Some of them were so tiny, and it was clear that they had just started growing.

"You were in the forest again, weren’t you?" he asked.

"See, you had the answers all along." she responded.

He laughed softly and touched both of her cheeks with his warm hands. He even squeezed them together, something that seemed to be becoming a hobby of his lately. Usually, this squeezing of her cheeks together was followed by a kiss on her lips.

Instinctively, as if she had been conditioned in a certain way when he did this, she pouted her lips and waited for the kiss.

"Did you get anything good?" he asked.

"Some birds that were just beginning to build nests in the deep parts of the forest where the shadow guild found the mushrooms and small fish in the stream." she answered.

"Did you bring them all back?" he asked.

She nodded, the entire goal of entering the forests, woods, mountains and all the dangerous places was to bring back edible animals.

"You know that you must be careful, right?" he asked her.

"Mmm." she nodded quickly.

The shadow guild had caught a few dangerous mutated beasts in the forest, lately in fact, they seemed to find them on an almost daily basis. Those whose danger could be contained, she bought and kept in an isolated area because before the year ended she wanted to build a large zoo in one of the cities and you could not have a zoo without animals.

He leaned down and gave her that kiss which she expected. He let go of her cheeks and placed one of his hands on her head, stroking her hair lightly.

She remained in place, even moving her head slowly like a cat that was starved for touch.

"Do you want a head massage?" he asked her.

She nodded eagerly, not just a head massage, a full body massage as well. After running around for hours, hunting for soul eaters in the forest and inside the lake, her body needed some tender loving.

"Come on." he said, "I will be responsible for the massage while you will be responsible for relaxing."

He pushed her into their bedroom by her shoulders.

"Wait." she said, and she tried to turn around. "Justin, where is our son?"

"Training with Lora and Arya Storm, they started late today." he told her.

She nodded twice and turned around willingly and then, she abruptly turned around again after taking two steps.

"Now what?" he asked her.

"I wanted to take him horse riding." she said reluctantly.

Esong’s hands which were about to push her into the bedroom relaxed a bit and he looked at her with inquisitiveness.

"Aren’t those creatures too fragile to be ridden? And I thought they were here for meat."

She moved her head slowly from side to side and told him, "Both, but they can bring us more money in the riding business rather than eating. But I will not be sharing that part with anyone because I don’t want to make the same mistake as I did with the chickens, they have practically gone extinct in the forest."

The shadow hunters had hunted almost all of the chickens and ducks and sent them to the capital. Scarlet had heard that their guild had raked in millions of star coins from their auction of edible animals and mushrooms.

Esong put his head on the top of her nose and said, "You are frowning, I thought I told you that your job tonight is relaxation."

He turned her around and pushed her into the bedroom. "Tomorrow," he said, "Tomorrow we will ride the horses."

That part, he was curious about because he had seen some distant planets in his years of travel as a mecha warrior and on a few that were less developed he had seen natives riding different animals. Some resembled mutated beasts while others, had wings and flew but others walked on the ground with four legs like these horses. But those had been bigger than these horses, an some had horns. The natives also cared for these beasts, dressing them in armor and looking after them gently. He could not wait to get on top of one of those horses and ride it.

Before the massage, he carried her into the bathroom first, undressed her and led her into the large bath pool for a long warm relaxing bath.

"Mmm," she mumbled in surprise as she looked around. The water was plain, no oil or flowers as she preferred. The mood needed to be set if this was to be the perfect relaxing bath.

She got aromatherapy oil from her storage bracelet and poured some in the bath water. In addition to that, she threw in a few leaves from Lythia’s garden and petals from dried flowers sold in an underworld pharmacy.

She also got a few scented candles from her space and placed them around the edges of the large pool.

Esong dimmed the lights in the bathroom and turned on the television, going to the soap opera channel which he hated but she loved.

She returned to him and settled down in his arms, snuggling against his chest with her arms around his waist.

He put two small automatic massagers on her back and they got to work while he kneaded her neck and her head gently.

It did not take long for the sensations in her body created by the automatic massagers and Esong’s hands to turn her body into a soft gooey boneless mush.

He was practically holding her body up by wrapping his arms around her. If he was not doing this, she would probably have fallen into the water already because her legs were shaking.

"Wrap your legs around me." he told her softly.

"Uh," she replied weakly. Her eyes were closed and on her face was this small lost smile of pleasure.

Esong did it himself, lifting her up and he put her legs around her waist. Then, he removed the automatic massagers on her back and threw them away roughly.

His own breathing was rough, and his body was affected by the sounds of pleasure which she had been making when the massagers did there work on her body. When it came to her, it did not take much for him to want her, sometimes it was just something as little as her sweet breath on his neck when they were hugging to get a rise out of his manhood.
