Transmigrated Into The Body Of The Cursed Prince Wife
Chapter 217: Learning the act of seduction

Chapter 217: Learning the act of seduction

Ave slept until sunset, and when she woke up, she woke up alone in bed, as expected of her husband. She didn’t like how whenever she woke up, he would be gone. She knew without a doubt that he loved and cared for her with everything he did, but what she couldn’t understand was why he didn’t want her again in ways a man wants and needs a woman. He used to like touching and kissing her before. Ironically, she used to try to avoid him and push him away, but now he was the one avoiding her while she wanted him to touch her.

Wasn’t his love strong enough to overlook things? Or could there be some other reason for his avoidance? Could it have something to do with his trembling and heating up that night? Was he sick?

Different kinds of thoughts went through Ave’s head as she laid there, staring at the ceiling and trying to come up with a reason before she’d decide on a course of action. Now that they were here and Lucian had said their plan to take back the land from Elara would start after the Nazia moon festival, which she would have liked to investigate to know if her suspicion about them was right, but she dared not for fear of angering the people and causing them to throw them out, all she wanted now was to take these few days they had before any war with Elara and make their bond stronger by completing their marriage.

To find out why he was hesitating to touch her, she would have to make him want and touch her again. Only by doing so would she know the reason. If it was because her body had been used or because there was something wrong with him, she would know by paying attention to his reactions and actions.

Ave was still lost in thought when a voice broke her out of her reverie. "My lady, your dress for tonight is here." It was Nadia, the girl in charge of assisting her here.

"What’s so special about tonight that I will need to change again?" Ave asked, not quite interested in meeting any of those rude royals. She sat up on the bed and watched as Nadia and two other maids brought in a box of jewelry and clothes.

"It’s the last night before our monthly traditional festival. We always have a feast in the castle. The king has invited you to come," said the girl with a sweet smile as she moved around the room, carrying and putting things away. Ave noticed for the first time how beautiful the girl was, with long, black hair and silver-colored eyes that seemed to look through your soul. The attire she wore now made Ave realize how voluptuous she was and... pregnant?!

Ave’s eyes widened as she noticed her bulging belly, which she hadn’t seen this morning. From behind, no one could tell until she turned, and if it weren’t for the cropped blouse attire she now wore, Ave would never have noticed it. "Are you pregnant?" she asked before she could stop herself.

Nadia looked taken aback by her question before she noticed her looking at her belly and then smiled. "Yes, my lady. I am." She rubbed her large belly with a sweet smile on her face.

Ave was dumbfounded by that. She’d heard from the Pendragon royals that a maid was not allowed to get married or be in a relationship for the time she served in the palace. Perhaps the tradition was different here.

"Are you married?" she asked curiously, as she knew in an era like this, women wouldn’t get pregnant without marriage.

"Something like that. We live together, but we’ve never had any marriage ceremony. Making love with your whole heart is enough to seal the bond of marriage. We don’t need ceremonies and all the things your kind does before we consider ourselves husband and wife," she explained as she noticed the curious look on Ave’s face.

Your kind. Ave noted the girl’s words, but she didn’t let herself dwell on it. She could tell the girl expected her to criticize their ways as she thought of her as any woman from this era. To any woman, it might be a disgrace, but to Ave, who had lived in the future, this was nothing as long as they loved each other.

"How long have you been pregnant?" she asked curiously as she left the bed to wash her face so Nadia could help her prepare.

Nadia followed behind her. "Eight months," she replied as she handed a towel to Ave to wipe her face.

"Eight months? You’re almost due. Shouldn’t you be resting?" Ave turned to ask with uncertainty as she didn’t know much about pregnancy.

"Not at all. I feel as strong as you can imagine," remarked the maid as she moved to begin removing the pins holding Ave’s dress.

"I see," Ave drawled out as she fell silent, but after she was helped into another dress, this time red, she couldn’t help but ask, "How does it feel to be pregnant?"

Nadia stopped what she was doing for a moment. Her hands paused at the back, tying the belt of Ave’s red dress. She looked at her through the mirror and smiled. "Well..." She seemed to think of words to describe what it was like before she parted her red lips and began to explain.

"In the early days, it’s just a bit like wind in your belly. Later, you start to feel the child more." She paused and tied the belt before she gently pushed Ave down to sit on the stool in front of the mirror before she continued. "It’s like a fish on a line, just a quick tug and then gone so quickly you’re not sure you felt it." Ave saw her rub her belly from the mirror as she spoke. "The baby sleeps for hours at a time. Sometimes when there’s no movement, you fear something has happened to it. And then you try to wake it, and when it kicks again, you feel like you’ll die from the relief that washes over you. And towards the end..." She looked up to the mirror to meet Ave’s blue eyes that stared attentively at her as she listened.

"Towards the end, when the child moves a lot, it’s a feeling like when your man is inside you. When he comes to you deep and pours himself into you, and that throbbing begins. Feels like that, only much bigger, like... it’s him you’ve taken into you instead." She finished with a warm smile pulling her lips up, causing Ave to blush and swallow the lump that had suddenly formed in her throat at the realization that she had no idea what it even feels like for her man to be inside her.

She knew she had to say something like, ’I understand the feeling,’ and try to imagine the bigger feeling she spoke of, but she had no experience to understand that or dare to imagine it. She managed to nod her head as she feared if she were to speak, she would give her emotions away to the young woman, who she didn’t even know before but, for some reason, felt like she could trust.

"What’s wrong, my lady?" came Nadia’s voice as she began to style her hair. "You’re quiet... have you no wish to ever have a child of your own? Did my words bring you some sort of discomfort?" she asked as she looked at her with an apologetic look.

Ave shook her head quickly. She knew with how the women of Pendragon were raised, words like what Nadia had said would have brought them shame and discomfort, but not her. What she felt wasn’t discomfort; it was the thought that she would never experience either of what Nadia said if Lucian kept refusing to touch her.

"It’s not the words you speak, Nadia," Ave reassured and watched as the girl sighed in relief before asking, "Then what is wrong? You can tell me. I am good at keeping secrets, my lady." She smiled as she began to put pins in her hair.

Ave hesitated for some time. She had been thinking of ways to make Lucian touch her again, but she couldn’t decide how to go about it. This girl might look young, but she seemed experienced and even bold enough to talk to her about intimate matters.

"Does your husband ever hesitate to make love to you?" she asked and watched the girl’s expression closely in the mirror. There was no ounce of shyness nor discomfort. She instead laughed at the question before saying,

"Never. He is like a beast in bed who never has enough. Some days, he would want me again just by the sound of my voice. When a man loves you, he will let you know it by the way he longs for you every second of the day. Look," she moved her hair aside to expose the side of her neck where Ave noticed a circular black mark against her bronze skin.

Frowning, Ave asked, "What’s that?"

"It’s something the men of our lands give their women, and with this, you feel every bit of his emotions and when he longs for you," she explained without going deeply.

"How does he do that? I mean the mark? Is it done with charcoal or some tattoo?" Ave asked in confusion as she had no idea how he’d be able to mark her like that and make her feel what he feels, not unless it’s magical.

Nadia looked taken aback. "Tattoo? Whatever that is, that’s not how it’s done. And because you and your husband are not from our land, it can’t be done to you," she told her as she gathered her hair up.

"Then do you have any advice which I can use to make my husband unable to resist me?" Ave asked as she swirled around on the stool to look up at Nadia.

A look of understanding crossed Nadia’s expression as she said, "So that’s the case. Human men are not hard to bring to bed. Tell me, does he only make love to you when he’s in the mood and ignores your moods?" she asked as she looked down at Ave as if she were deciding ways to help her. But when she noticed her biting down on her lower lip and looking down at her lap, Nadia’s eyes rounded.

"He’s never made love to you?" she asked in a low voice, and when Ave nodded, she leaned down and pulled her into a hug. "Oh, my dear. He didn’t consummate your marriage," she muttered, sympathizing with Ave while patting her back in an elderly manner, like she was consoling a little girl. Her patting made Ave’s eyes moisten as it felt so good to find a woman who understood what she was going through and might be able to give her advice on how to make things right.

She knew most women were told and given advice by their mothers before marriage on ways to be with their husbands in this era, but she’d never had such privilege. She didn’t know the woman who she’d thought was her mother in the modern world, nor did she know her real mother in the ancient. She’d never been around any married couples apart from James and his wife, to take examples from them. If only there were mobile phones and internet here, all she would have to do was search for things online.

She really wanted her marriage with Lucian to work out perfectly. She had not realized just how much she was willing to do anything to bring back those days where he’d kiss and touch her whenever he got the chance until now. She knew with the traditions and beliefs here, a man was allowed to take as many women as he pleased, and she feared if he wasn’t touching her, he wouldn’t hesitate to do that with Nina if she were to seduce him with her perfect body.

"What can I do to make him want me?" she whispered softly as she allowed Nadia to keep hugging her.

"I will tell you everything you need to do. You have to learn the art of seduction," she told her as she pulled away from her.

"Will you teach me?"

"Of course, I will. This is what you have to do after you get back from the hall tonight..." She began to tell her everything while Ave listened attentively with widened eyes, as she couldn’t imagine herself doing anything Nadia was telling her to do.
