Chapter 149: "Touch me..."

[Long Chapter.]

---

Lucian stared at her eyes, where her lashes were damp with tears. She had every right to want to take revenge on a bastard like James Eamon, whom he had never seen but wished he could, to kill him with his own hands. He would have taken pleasure in watching someone like that suffer to his death; he would torture him until he wished for death himself, but the era and time difference were not in his favor.

Cupping her cheeks in his palm, Lucian said, "You have every right to want to go back for revenge. But have you thought about your life after that? There is nothing worth you being there; your life seemed lonely and..." Before he could finish his words, she slapped away his hand from her face and moved her head back.

"My life is no better in this damn era of yours. I have nothing to stay here for, but there, I have my career and my life. Here you have too many rules that could kill someone before their time. Imagine I can’t wear pants, and I can’t walk or sit in a certain way because it is frowned upon. I can’t do this; I can’t do that, or I will end up being killed. Tell me, what is worth staying here for? I have nobody..." She muttered and then broke into a loud cry, this time hitting his chest with her fist with every sob that left her mouth.

Lucian felt his heart knot. She had no one she cared about and nothing worth staying here for? "What about me?" He asked her before he could stop himself, and he watched as she suddenly stopped crying and gazed at him with a confused frown. "What about you?" She repeated the question. "What happened to you?" She glared at him as if not liking that he’d interrupted her crying and emotional breakdown.

"You don’t think I’m worth staying here for?" He questioned with an ache he didn’t recognize in his own voice. It was almost like a child who sought validation from their indifferent parent. He’d never known a day would come when he’d hang around someone like he was beginning to with Ave. It might have seemed selfish of him to want her to stay here after she had told him the reason she wanted to go back, but he just couldn’t help it.

Lucian watched as she stared at him for a while with her lips quivering and eyes trembling before she raised her hand and slapped his chest. "You bastard! Every time I think about going back, I always worry about you. I don’t know why, but I worry and think that after I go back, I’d miss you. I worry that after I leave, you’ll get Selene back, and she might continue to be unfaithful to you. You are so annoying, and I want to scratch your handsome face so badly to let out my anger...!" She cried out, slamming her fist so hard against his chest Lucian flinched and impulsively reached out and grabbed her wrist to stop her, but she glared at him heatedly.

For the first time today, Lucian couldn’t help but smile. At least she worried about him, which was no different from caring. He knew if she hadn’t been drugged, she wouldn’t be this vulnerable and open with her feelings. She wouldn’t have even told him about what a disgusting loser James Eamon was.

"If you’re so worried about me, then why don’t you stay with me? Don’t go back, please. I’ll try to be less annoying," he spoke the words like they were wrenched out of his heart. His voice had a desperate plea to its tone, but the woman in his arms was too far gone with what she was fed to hear it. She was still glaring at him, and he knew she could hit him again with such a look in her eyes.

He held her hand with surprising gentleness, her small fingers nearly disappearing against the strength of his grip, yet he moved her hand to his lips and pressed a tender kiss on each one of her fingers as he spoke again. "Will you stay? I promise to do anything you want as long as you say the words. I will build a skyscraper for you and make moving cars just like you’ve drawn." He whispered against her hand, and he watched her stare at him with her head tilted to the side.

"Do you have split personality Lucian? Why are you being so gentle to me now when you always ignore me outside? It’s unsettling." She muttered with her face scrunched up as she pulled her hand away from his to rub her flushed neck and then traced her hands down to her collarbones, where she felt her skin prickle with an unusual sensitivity, as though every inch of her was waiting to be touched.

Lucian, who was about to ask what she meant by split personality, noticed how she looked and seemed uncomfortable on his lap as she rubbed from her face to her neck, where he noticed her skin glistened with sweat and looked so red like she was being cooked. Her breasts rose and fell with each heavy breath she seemed to take, and her lips parted as she breathed through them.

"Are you alright Aveline?" He asked, concerned. He held her shoulders as he tried to examine her body, but the heat that radiated from her body and penetrated through the fabric of her dress to his palm was alarming. She wasn’t alright.

"I feel so hot; it’s like a fire is burning inside me..." She mused breathlessly as she looked at him. She was mildly aware of her body in her disoriented state of mind. She could feel a sizzling heat bloom and spread from her chest to her body. Her mind felt clouded, wrapped in a soft haze that dulled her thoughts, leaving only a raw, desperate need to be close to the man in front of her. She wanted him to touch her, but where and why, she didn’t know. Her body longed to be closer to his in a way she knew was inappropriate.

Without thinking, she reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck and moved dangerously closer to him on his lap, where she wrapped her legs around him. She was so close her breasts rubbed against his solid chest, and her thighs rubbed his lower abdomen. Smiling, she moved her head closer and pecked his lips, taking Lucian by surprise as he sat there, stunned and unmoving.

"Lucian, I want you to touch me, here..." She removed one of her arms from around his neck and took his large hand and gently placed it palm-down against her breast and pressed against it. She then smiled and leaned down to kiss the side of his mouth, this time using her tongue to lick and nibble the corner of his mouth. A throaty groan came from the back of his throat.

Lucian turned his mouth in a way that crashed against hers and kissed her while his hand, which she had placed on her breast, squeezed it gently. There was no softness in the way he kissed her. It was hard, unyielding, and full of raw need. He had been holding back since their time in the library; every second he recalled how her soft lips had melted against his and how her breast had hardened and filled his palm, he became aroused with a painful erection.

Lucian had known he lusted over her body like a bee with a flower, but he had made a mental note to never initiate any sexual intimacy between them again until she was willing. And though right now he knew this was likely the influence of what the Empress must have fed her, he couldn’t control himself when she was allowing him to kiss her. He’d only kiss her for a while, just a little while. He told himself.

There was something addictive about her lips and mouth; he knew he could never get enough, no matter how much he kissed them. She tasted sweet and refreshing. He could taste the lingering sweetness of wine in her mouth as he kissed her hungrily like a starved man.

His lips devoured hers with a hunger that seemed to leave her dizzy, her fingers digging into his shoulder as she tried to steady the raw need to be closer to him than she was now. The force of it stole her breath, the power behind it making her body tremble as he controlled every movement, every gasp, every flicker of desire that surged through her veins.

"Open your mouth for me Aveline..." he breathed unsteadily against her mouth, and she obeyed without resistance, and immediately she did, his warm, wet tongue invaded her mouth and explored every inch of her. He licked and nibbled at her lips in a way that drew a moan from her throat and made her shadder against him. She felt his sharp teeth bite down on her lower lip, and she gasped, but he immediately soothed the bite with his tongue. He sucked on her lips and nibbled the pain away.

Her body involuntarily arched against him as his rough hand kneaded her breast against her dress and then gently caressed it until she felt her breast grow hard and taut against her dress. Yearning desperately to be touched more by him, she grasped his shoulder and dug her fingers into his shirt as she whispered, "Remove my corset for me... it’s uncomfortable..." He covered her mouth again with another fierce kiss as his hands worked their way to the back of her dress to unfasten the strings.

Lucian, even without taking any drug, was already intoxicated by his desires for her. He couldn’t stop, even when he knew he should, as she wasn’t in her right senses and would probably not find it pleasant if she were to know in the morning that he’d taken advantage of her condition. But god-damn him, he couldn’t bring himself to put an end to something as beautiful as having her on his lap, arching desperately against him and seemingly begging, with her kisses and body, to touch her more.

Lucian could feel his erection straining against his trousers in a way that seemed like it would tear itself out of the fabric. His hands moved on their own accord and began to unbutton her dress at a speed that made his fingers clumsy and shaky. He removed the buttons, tearing a few of them off in the process until her dress fell down her shoulders, and he swiftly pulled the sleeves off her arms while still ravishing her mouth in a kiss he knew would bruise her. Then he sucked on the remnants of blood he could still taste on her lips; every drop was a treasure to him. Every drop.

Once he removed her dress to her waist, he reached out and began to remove the corset strings while she had her arms around his neck and was trying to return his kiss with as much intensity as he was, though the way she kissed him told so much about her inexperience, and that was enough to make him more possessive toward her.

He removed the corset and flung it across the room without a care in the world, leaving her in a chemise made of thin fabric. When he reached out to touch her breast, he felt every little gooseflesh that had formed against her skin and how her nipple had hardened into a tight little bud that made him groan in pleasure.

"Aveline..." Her name rolled huskily out of his mouth as he moved back and gazed at her flushed face, where her lips were parted, and she was breathing heavily through them, her blue eyes moist and unfocused as she gazed at him. He couldn’t believe the Empress had fed her something this dangerous that would have made her this vulnerable and defenseless against the ambassador. She was like a wolf in heat and seemed not to care about whatever he was doing to her.

He stared at her eyes while his fingers gently rubbed her supple breast, and he saw as her eyes trembled and she bit down on her bottom lip and pressed her thighs against his erection. The thought that she would have been this way to another man sent his blood surging with heated resentment toward the Empress. She was so vulnerable he wished she was in her senses so he could continue without any guilt; he wanted her to want him willingly, not because she was being controlled by a drug.

He wanted her to remember every single second of it if he were to share another moment like this with her. He wanted her to want him as desperately as she did now without any drugs being involved. Raising his hands, he cupped her flushed cheeks and leaned down, covering her entire face with little kisses, but she turned her mouth toward his, wanting him to kiss her. However, Lucian dared not; he would be out of control if he were to kiss that mouth again.

"Let’s continue..." she whispered with a pout on her lips as she moved her arms and wrapped them around his neck, moving her head forward. However, Lucian moved his head back and removed her arms from around him, holding her wrists in both hands while being gentle not to touch the scratches on her left hand, which he intended to get more answers about once she was sober.

"Not today, Aveline. We shall continue the day you are in the mind to know right and wrong." He would not take advantage of her, not to mention he wasn’t married to her. Though he knew the body she possessed was not that of an innocent maiden who hadn’t been touched, he wouldn’t disrespect the soul residing in it. Aveline was precious, and regardless of whatever Selene had done, he would respect Aveline.

However, the woman in his arms wasn’t ready to take no for an answer. She began to cry as she moved even closer to him while struggling to yank her wrists away from his hold. "I want you to continue; I want you, I need you. Please..." she cried.

If she continued to look at him with those teary eyes and plead with him in such a way, Lucian knew he would give in to her and give her exactly what she desired. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath and then opened them.

"Don’t make this hard on me, Aveline. I want to throw caution to the wind and kiss you so hard until you forget your plans to leave my world. I want to have your naked body close to mine and bite into your flesh as I thrust into you and hear you cry out my name, but trust me, I wouldn’t do any of that knowing you’ll wake up tomorrow hating me for it. Now, let’s get you into a cold bath; it will help you cool down."

"NO! I DON’T WANT A BATH, I WANT YOU!!"
