Transmigrated As A Feisty Omega
Chapter 89: Mission complete

Chapter 89: Mission complete

I spent half the day with Storm’s mother, who you can tell was trying to act normal when it’s still alien to her. The day was tough on me since I had to spend it with his family while he went to finalize some things with Theo.

Storm’s father didn’t say a word to me after the initial welcome to the family and what have you, which I’m grateful for.

At least, his mother was trying to be friendly, while his father looked like he was moments from kicking my butt if I so much as stared at him.

I have never been so relieved when they left with the other parents. However, that was short-lived when his mother invited us for dinner at their house tomorrow and Storm didn’t object.

I think he’s happy to know that I’m getting along with his mother. That was why he didn’t think he had to refuse her offer for us to dine at their house.

I watched him as he packed the clothes, humming to himself, looking like a child who got his favourite toy.

I sat on the bed since that was where he asked me to stay. He’s still hell-bent on not letting me do anything because I’m pregnant.

"Is our new home nearer to your parent’s house?" I suddenly asked, to break the silence.

"No, why?" He glanced at me before he turned, to resume what’s doing. "Do you wish for it to be near?"

"No, why will you think so?" I nervously chuckled.

He shrugged, "I thought you did. Your questions."

"Oh, I was just wondering." I closed my eyes and leaned on the headboard.

"Are you okay with going to our house tomorrow? If you are not, I can always cancel with my parents. My mother will understand."

He sounded as if he knew exactly what was going on in my mind.

"No, it’s alright," I placed my hand on my stomach. "I can’t always hide from them. I’m dating you, so...."

"Hmm."

He nodded but didn’t say a word, while I stared at him.

"Hello, Host!" Fan immediately appeared.

"Fan!" I glanced towards Storm, to check if he heard me, but he didn’t turn. He was still busy doing some last-minute packing.

"You don’t have to worry about him!" Fan winked at me. "He won’t hear any of our conversations," he chuckled.

"What are you doing here?"

"Congratulations!" He clapped. "You have completed your first mission. His love percentage is now 100%. A bonus will be added to you!"

I blinked, gaping at him like a fool. "How?"

He shrugged, "It was completed this afternoon. It’s time to leave this world, Host. Are you ready for your next adventure?" He winked at me.

"Now?"

"Hmm. Immediately the mission is completed, you won’t need to remain in the current world." He smiled at me, "So, are you ready?"

"No, I’m not."

I should be happy that I have completed my mission, but I feel nothing but sadness.

"I’m afraid I can’t —"

"Can I have an hour? No, make it two!"

He checked his wristwatch, "I’m giving you ten minutes, Brys. That’s all I can help you with. You should have left the moment his love percentage got completed, but I delayed, to give you time."

"But I need to tell him about me! 10 minutes won’t do trash!" I begged, glancing towards Storm, who hadn’t turned for once.

His entire focus is still on the bags he’s packing.

"10 minutes is all I can spare, Brys. And you should never tell him about you or the mission. He shouldn’t be aware of this," he smiled at me before he disappeared.

I immediately rose from the bed and closed the distance between Storm and me. I wrapped my hand around his waist and placed my head on his back.

"Strawberry? What’s wrong?" He paused but didn’t turn.

"I love you, Storm. I hope you know that," I blinked, to keep the tears, pricking the side of my eyes, at bay.

I will miss this world, and Storm.

"Why do you sound odd?" He chuckled when I hugged him tightly. "Are you okay?"

"Of course, I am."

No, I’m not!

I didn’t wish to leave you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, taking care of our children and watching them grow into beautiful people.

But I know I can’t have what I wish for. The system will make sure of that. I will only be here for as long as Fan will allow me.

I can’t even tell him who I am or where I’m going because the stupid system said so. I can only hug him and pray he understands how much I love him.

"Then, let me go. I need to pack our things."

"Allow me to hug you," I sniffed, taking in his awesome smell.

"Brys?" He turned, "are you okay? Why do you suddenly wish to hug me?"

"Because the baby wishes for it." I wrapped my hand around his stomach and placed my head on his chest.

I don’t know how long it will be until I’m able to hug him like this. The next world I’m going into is unknown. Not only was it not mentioned in the comics, but Fan also said the present Storm is the best.

I don’t even know what I’m up against. Yet, I don’t have a way out. It’s that, or I die, without meeting my baby.

"Hmm," he leaned down and kissed me on my hair. "What else does the baby want?"

I know what he’s asking for, but I don’t think we have enough time for that. I have wasted enough time as it is.

"What will you do if you wake up and don’t see me?"

Fan said this world will freeze, but that doesn’t make sense to me. How will the world and everything in it freeze? Does it mean that everyone here will die?

He sniffed my hair, "it’s not possible, Strawberry. I will keep you safe, and here with me."

"I know," I smiled, trying not to shed a tear. If what Fan says is true, I might not get to meet this Storm before I return to my world.

"I need to get everything ready. Theo said he’s leaving before the sun sets, and I hope we can do the same." He placed a hand under my jaw and made me look up at him. "You will get to see Ray every day because they live in the same complex."

"That sounds like a plan," I forced a smile. "What are we going to do over there?" I smiled at him, hoping Fan won’t suddenly pull me up from his embrace.

"I will have to start work while you rest at home until you give birth," he placed his right hand on my stomach and leaned down to kiss me. "I can’t wait to carry my baby."

A tear slid down my eyes at those words. It hurts me to know he won’t be able to carry his baby because I’m leaving this world.

"What’s wrong?" He swiped the tear from under my eyes with his thumb. "Why are you crying?" He peered down at me with raised brows.

"Tears of joy," I grinned until it seemed like my cheeks might tear.

"Oh," he nodded.

"Allow me to hug you, will you?" I placed my head back on his chest, and closed my eyes, trying to convince myself that I’m not leaving him behind in this world.

The thoughts of that tore at my heartstrings.

"Of course, you can do anything you wish to me, Strawberry." He chuckled, thinking this is my normal clingy self.

"It’s time to leave this world. Times up, Brys." Fan suddenly appeared. "I gave you an extra 5, but that’s all I can spare. I’m afraid you will be ripped out before you get to bid your last farewell."

"I know," I raised my head, and placed my hands on either side of Storm’s face before I kissed him, desperately trying to prolong the time I had with him.

If only I had spent more time with him instead of watching him pack.

If only I had...

"Leaving the world in 10 seconds. The countdowns start now. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 —"

"I love you," I pecked Storm on his lips.

"1!"

Nothing happened immediately, he said the last number.

I was still in the room with Storm, who was looking at me as if he were trying to understand what I meant when suddenly, I felt like I was floating.

The room swam around my eyes until I tightly closed them, only to open them to a shock.

Instead of the familiar room, I’m supposed to be in, I found myself in a strange room.

"Where am I?" I stared around the room before I glanced down at the unfamiliar clothes I’m putting on.

"Welcome to the magical kingdom of Thalma, Brys," Fan winked.
