Transmigrated As A Feisty Omega
Chapter 42: An unexpected confession

Chapter 42: An unexpected confession

I stared at Fan for help, but he shrugged, letting me know I’m on my own. He sat in the air and crossed his right leg over his left with his arms folded as he watched us.

Sky gazed at me, "what were you doing out here? Aren’t you supposed to be in class?"

"Well, I was on my way to class before..... I remembered I had to take a book from my room, so I returned to take it." I forced a smile, not ready to tell Sky that I was running from the principal. "Why are you here?"

He tugged on his left ear before he glanced down at his feet as if they housed all the interest in the entire world.

"I don’t know. I just heard this insisting voice that said I had to find you, so I did." He blushed, "there’s... There’s something I need... I need to ask... No, tell you."

"What is... Wait, before I forget. What did you do to Ray?"

"Ray?" He whipped his head up so fast, I thought he might get a whiplash. His eyes filled with emotions I can’t describe before they returned to the neutral state they were in.

"Yes. What did you do to him?" Since the day that he returned, Ray has never mentioned the Beta, which is so unlike him. Should I so much as mention his name, it will only bring an end to any conversation we were having.

"Nothing." Sky sighed, "he confessed his love to me." He stared into my eyes as if he was trying to know what my reactions will be.

I gasped, "really?"

Even Fan looked shocked to learn that. Just like me, he’s surprised to hear that the shy Omega —okay, he’s not that shy — confessed to his crush.

"And?"

"I rejected his confessions." Sky forced a smile, "I couldn’t accept him."

"Why?"

I frowned at him. I don’t see anything wrong with Ray. He’s handsome, has a good personality, is fun to be with, does things selflessly and is a good singer —I learned of this two days ago.

Why will Sky reject someone as precious as my Omega roommate? I don’t see anything wrong with him. Hell, had I been the one he confessed to, I would have thought about it.

Before I was transmigrated, I had never fully thought of my sexuality. Most times, I feel like I’m straight, but at other times, I don’t feel that.

Hell, I read gay books and comics. Yet, I have never crushed on another man.

"What of the handsome Alpha?" Fan taunted.

I shot a glare at him before I realized something. He heard my thoughts!

"Of course, I do. Well, today is the first."

That’s an invasion of privacy! You are invading!

"...Well," he shrugged. "I don’t hear your thoughts. I only hear the ones you speak out loud. I mean the ones you emphasize on."

What —

"Brys?" Sky startled me with his touch. "Are you okay?" He asked when I squinted at him.

"Hmm."

I’m as alright as a person who just learned his system and can read most of his thoughts. Who am I kidding? I’m not freaking alright!

"I didn’t accept his proposal for a date because I have someone I love," he blushed.

A shocked gasp escaped from my mouth at his words.

"You have someone you love? Who’s that?" I furrowed my brows as I wondered how someone like Sky can have someone they love.

If someone else told me this, I wouldn’t be shocked. Coming from someone like him, who doesn’t show emotions easily, it’s a bit... odd.

He blushed before he glanced up. I have never seen him with this embarrassed look before. He looked like someone who was about to confess to their crush.

"You." He bit his bottom lip as he took a step towards me. I instinctively took one back as I wondered what the hell he was trying to do.

His eyes locked with mine as a smile graced his face, "you are the one I love, Brys. I don’t know when it started. It might have been on the first day I met you. I just woke up one day and discovered that I like you." He took more steps towards me, while I tried to keep as much distance between us as I could.

His words made me feel dizzy. I’m the one he loves? I pinched my right arm to be certain I’m not dreaming or something like that.

"Sky—"

"Every time I’m next to you, Brys, I feel happy. Being with you makes life seem worthwhile. Before I met you, I had never been interested in relationships. I lived eighteen years of my life as a loner, until I met you, Brys. You are —"

"Hold on," I brought my hand out to stop him from coming closer. My back is now to the wall. I’m afraid he will have me cornered if I don’t stop him.

Fan giggled behind me. "See, I told you. Four men are crushing on you. And yet, you don’t know."

Four—

Wait, we will get to that. For now, I need to get something straight.

"... You," I pointed at him, "love me?" I asked to be certain my brain interpreted his words well.

He nodded.

"Why?"

Aside from being stubborn, arrogant, feisty, and headstrong, there are no good attributes to my name. Phillip always jokes that I will forever remain single if I don’t change my ways.

"The heart doesn’t have a reason to love, Brys." He closed the distance between us by holding my right hand in his. "You are the only one who makes my heart skip. I have never felt this way with another." He backed me against the wall, and placed his left hand —the one not holding my right hand — above my head; caging me in.

I gulped as I glanced at Fan for help. But my stupid system looked like he was enjoying this.

"Sky, I—"

"I’m not going to force you to give me your answers now. You can take your time, so long as I don’t get old waiting for them." He leaned in, so his breath fanned my face. "I’m not a patient man and have never been. But for you, I will."
