Transmigrated As A Feisty Omega -
Chapter 146: A deal
Chapter 146: A deal
BRYS
"So, what are you doing here?" I folded my arms and raised a brow at him. "Why are you in your brother’s wing?"
Theo looked down the deserted hallway before he crossed over to me. "You don’t know?" He closed the distance between us, towering over me, his green eyes boring into my eyes.
"Can you step back a bit?" I asked nicely since I didn’t want to show off my strength. "You know there’s something called personal space, right?"
"And if I don’t step back?" He placed his hand under my jaw and forced my attention to his face. "What will you do? Cry to Storm?" He laughed. "He won’t save you from me, Omega. Your Storm isn’t here."
"Is that why you are doing this? Because Storm isn’t here? Do you feel you can bully me into submission?" It was funny thinking of that. I only let Storm do whatever he wished because I still love him. Not only that, he’s the father of my kids. Now, with Theo, I had nothing with him aside from the almost non-existent bond I had with him in Dark Moon.
"Do you think he scares me?" He growled, his eyes narrowing as he looked down at me. The twitch of his lips made me smile.
"If you don’t, why are you doing this in his absence? Why didn’t you do it while he was at home? I know. You are just too much of a scaredy-cat to stand up to your brother, aren’t you? You —"
"Fuck you!" He raised his left fist to punch me, but I held it before he could bring it down. Smirking, I pushed him off me, stunning him. He looked at his hand, then back at me. "How... What did you just do?"
"Intercepted your punch." I drew away from the door and made a show of dusting my clothes. "I can’t have you spoil my best asset. That’s aside from my arse." I grinned, ignoring the deadly scowl on his face.
He flexed his muscles and moved towards me, but I raised both hands.
"If you wish to speak, do so while standing there. You don’t have to come close. Your breath stinks."
And that was what broke the dam. I knew baiting him was a wrong move, but I couldn’t help it. I didn’t like the way he came close, nor his breath on my face. It irritated me and made me forget my plans to hook him up with Ray. I take those words back. I’m not hooking him up with anyone. Not with him acting like a douche.
I dodged the first punch and his fist landed on the wall where I once stood. That pissed him off more. With a growl, he lunged at me, but I was faster.
Completing tasks worked. If not for that, he would have beaten me to a pulp from the moment I decided to run my smart mouth.
Frustrated he wasn’t getting to me like he wanted, he stopped heaving as he watched me.
To be on the safe side, I kept a notable distance between us and folded my arms, watching him.
"Is that all you have got, darling?" I taunted, watching his eyes turn a deep golden before they returned to the normal green.
He heaved out a sigh. "We have a bet, don’t we?"
"Which is?" I frowned, scrunching my nose. "I can’t recall making any bet with you, darling. Are you certain you are not mistaken?"
"About Storm." He drew a step towards me. "We placed a bet on his success."
"Oh!" I nodded, acting like I just recalled it now when I hadn’t forgotten it. "We didn’t complete our bet that day."
"That’s why I’m here. To complete the bet."
"Okay. Out with it already. What are the terms of the bet? And for the records, I’m betting on his progress."
"Like you should." He smirked, his expression looking like a child’s depiction of the devil and his fork.
"So?"
"If he succeeds, I will give up my title as the eldest son, but if he loses, you will be my slut."
"Huh?" I uncrossed my arms and placed a hand under my jaw, tilting my head to the side as his words sank in. "There’s nothing in it for me, is there? If I win, Storm gets to be the first son instead of the beloved. And if I lose, you will take me. I don’t see why I would make such a bet with you. I’m not getting anything from it."
I would be such a fool to accept his proposal.
"Isn’t Storm your master?"
"Lover," I corrected, glaring at him.
"Whatever. It doesn’t matter."
"It does." I narrowed my eyes at him. "There’s a vast difference between a master and a lover. He doesn’t own me."
"I see." His eyes sparkled. He looked intrigued by my words like I knew most men would be. They always liked the idea of a challenge, someone who would always stand against their words, one they would take great pleasure in breaking.
"Well, these are my terms. If I win, you get to date Ray, but if I lose, I will be your lover."
"Just that?" He frowned. "What’s the difference between this and mine? You still get nothing from both."
"You are mistaken." I closed the distance between us until we were almost nose to nose. "Seeing you together with Ray would give me immense satisfaction."
Even though the Theo of this world isn’t the same as he was in the first world, I knew he would take care of Ray as he did in Dark Moon. They might be rivals now, but I didn’t doubt Ray would win him over.
"Why do you want to see us together so badly? Is there anything you are not telling me? Did he put you up to this?"
"Ray?" I stepped back, scoffing. "Ray would rather die than ask me to do this. Like I said, I only did it for my satisfaction. Now, do we have a deal?" I stretched my right hand to him.
He glared at it for a few seconds before he brought his out. "Deal."
And so we sealed it.
