Chapter 120: Jealous of his brothers (Un-edited)
"Where have you been?"
The voice froze me in my steps. I slowly turned to face a glaring Storm. He looked like a man going for a battle of some sort.
"Somewhere." I shrugged, going straight for the only chair in his room. I spent close to three hours with May playing Xbox and watching one of the series his system loaded for him.
God, it was so refreshing to touch the things I once used when I was back on Earth. And what was more? He gave me some comics!
Yeah, you heard that right!
I got to take home a comic book which is so similar to the one written of Dark Moon.
"Where the damned hell have you been?!" He growled, looking damned murderous. The way his eyes narrowed to slits made it seem like he was a moment from combusting in anger.
"Do I need to report everything I do? Or are you that eager to accuse me of flirting with your brothers?" I sat on the chair and placed the comic on my lap, giving him a nonchalant shrug.
He took a step towards me, narrowing his eyes on the comic as if it were something alien. "What is that?" He gave the book a curious stare, glaring darkly at me.
"This?" I raised the comic. "This is a book. You see, back in my kingdom, we read things like this." I shrugged, acting like it’s no big deal to have something so modern in an ancient world.
"Witchcraft!"
"And what else will you call it?" I pursed my lips, not really in the mood for his accusations and what have you. "You can call it whatever you wish to do, but I don’t care."
He closed the distance between us and stood in front of me. "Where did you get the book from?"
"Book? This? Oh, I got it from someone. Why did you ask?" I grin at him, eager to have him drop the matter, so I can concentrate once more on reading the comic. I can’t wait to speak to Fan about the new transmigrator I met and ask for his help in getting comics.
God, I never thought of something like this when he asked me for what I needed from the store. If only I had asked for comics or a 65 inches TV. Things would have been awesome!
But I had to ask for food and clothes. God, I’m such a fool. A damned fool for not asking for something important.
Storm cleared his throat, to get my attention on him. "Who gave this to you?" He asked once more, this time in a calm and collected tone. He seemed to have finally understood that yelling and speaking to me in harsh tones won’t get me to do anything. If anything, it will only end up in a brutal fight between us.
"Someone." I shrugged, not ready to speak of the other prince. Else, he might try to say something about flirting with the other princes, which I’m not ready to entertain.
"Who the —"
A knock on the door interrupted his words. He turned to angrily glare at the door, as if the person on the other side was seeing him.
"Come in!" I cheerfully called out before Storm could say anything.
Ray stepped in, with his focus on his shoes, before he slowly glanced up. "It’s time for dinner, Storm. Are you eating with your family or?"
"We are going."
"Okay."
He turned and left, but not before winking at me, which wasn’t lost on Storm, who growled like the damned animal he is.
"You —"
"Why don’t you have a sitting room? The other princes have a —"
"How did you know the others have a sitting room?" He snarled at me, not letting me complete my words.
At his questions, my eyes widened in realization. I unknowingly confessed that I have been in other rooms aside from his.
"Well, I heard from the maids. There are —"
"None of the maids have been to our rooms! Only the guards are allowed in here. How the damned hell did you know of the others’ room?" His growls got louder until it seemed like he might partially shift while speaking to me.
"Oh, is that so? Hmm," I forced a smile at him. "You know, there is something called gossip between the workers. The guards must have told her about it."
I lied, smiling at him to ease the anger on his face.
He glared at me, staring at me with eyes as dark as night, before he sighed. "You know what, you can whore yourself out with —"
"Who the damned hell is a whore?" I rose from the chair I was sitting on and stared into his eyes, pissed by his words.
Whenever he sees me smile with other men, he concludes that I’m somehow whoring myself!
"You!" He yelled in my face. "You are the damned whore!"
Before I can stop myself, I slapped him hard on his right cheek and made to slap him once more, but he held my arm.
"Do you think you can do whatever you wish to do because I let you get away with most of these things you do?" He sneered, bringing his face closer, "I’m just letting things slide, for now."
"Oh, and you want me to thank you for that?" I pursed my mouth, not even afraid of my hand, which he was still holding. I know that I can fight him should he try to use his strength on me.
He sighed, let go of his hand on my wrist, and turned his back to me. "Get ready, we are going for dinner in less than a few minutes." He strode back to his bed and sat on it, still glaring darkly like one who wants to —
"Fuck!"
I flinched when he threw four knives at the door and then latched on the door in one swift motion.
My heart skipped a bit, and I gulped, scared to my bones at how fast and accurate he is.
God, I have never met someone who is both dangerous and handsome. He turned to look at me and glared a bit before he focused once more on the door.
He picked three knives and threw them at once, looking like he wanted to expel his anger somehow by releasing them on our poor door.
"If you wish to fight with someone, you can make me your partner." I winked at him, smiling a bit at the expression on his face, "you don’t have to worry, you won’t hurt me."
He grumbled under his breath but didn’t say a word.
*****
He continued to throw the knives at our poor door until it was time to go for lunch. He changed out of his wrapper, while I only had to run my hand through my long hair, to make me look presentable enough to face the royals.
I followed him, walking a bit slowly as the guards fell behind us, not making a sound at all.
The dining wasn’t that far from his room, but I couldn’t retrace my steps to save my life. God, I’m just a hopeless man!
The guards opened the door, stepped back and motioned for us to walk in. Storm turned to look at me, "behave." He said in a calm tone, glaring at me as if he expected me to run into the room, climb on the table and start dancing to the beat of the music in my head — not that I won’t do that if I’m drunk.
"Why? Do you think I’m an unruly kid?" I pursed my lips, acting a bit like a spoiled child.
He sighed, "just don’t flirt with my brothers." He dropped the bombshell before he strode in, leaving me to pick up my fallen jaw from the ground.
I gaped at his back, trying to understand why the hell he will think I will flirt with any of his brothers. God, what the hell is wrong with my Storm?
I didn’t get to contemplate more on those words before the door opened and May stepped in.
"Oh, my! Mega!" He smiled at me, "what are you doing here?" He grinned, starting a conversation as if we had known each other for long.
"I came with your brother, Storm." I motioned to the man, who was now glaring daggers at us, gritting his teeth so tight, I was afraid he might lose all his teeth if care isn’t taken.
"Oh!" He chuckled, "come on then. What are you standing on the door for?" He linked his right arm with mine and made to drag me towards Storm, but a dark growl caused me to step back.
I didn’t have to look at Storm to know that he was the one growling like a damned animal.
"What’s wrong?" May turned to look at me, trying to understand why I stepped back like a shocked person.
"Nothing!" I nervously chuckled. "Come on, it’s time for dinner! I don’t wish to miss any." I hurried towards Storm, who had started walking again, pretending like he wasn’t moments from ripping our heads off.
"Wait for me!" May called out, hurrying towards me.
