Transmigrated As A Feisty Omega -
Chapter 118: Lost
Chapter 118: Lost
Brys
The stunned expression on his face was all worth it. I need to show him that I’m not someone he can treat anyhow he wishes to, just because he feels like doing it.
I was ready for his knife. I dodged his throw and pushed him towards his bed before I made for the door.
Before his return, I intended to go over to look for Sky. That was why I got startled when I heard him open the door.
I ran out of his room, and banged the door behind me, alerting the guards by the door. I half expected them to stop me, but none of them made a sound as I ran past them, and neither did Storm run out of his room to stop me from leaving.
I ran down the halls, intending to go towards the kitchen, knowing I will find the maids there, but I somehow got lost in this damned maze of a palace.
I found myself in a hall similar to Storm’s. There are no Golden paintings, and flower pots around. Just like Storm’s, the place looked more like a funeral home. The only difference is the lack of guards there.
"Hello?" I glanced around, half hoping to find Sky by some sheer stroke of luck, though I know it’s damned hell impossible. I continued down the hall, desperate to find the exit.
Earlier, when I tried to retrace my steps back to Storm’s room, I discovered that I couldn’t do so because the damned halls and several rooms in them are the same!
Holy God.
What the hell did I get myself into?
If only I had stayed back in Storm’s room, to fight everything out, nothing of this sort would have happened.
"Hello?" I called out once more, looking around the place and desperate to get out.
A chuckle caught my attention. I instantly turned towards the sound but was unaware to find the owner.
"Hello? Is there someone out there?" I tried once more, taking a step towards the door I heard the chuckle from. My heart continued to pump in my chest, making all the blood rush to my head.
I clenched my fists, ready to fight whoever or whatever resides in the room.
Once more, the dark chuckle came once make. This time, it sounded from the door behind me. Stunned, I took a step back and gaped at the door, wondering how the hell the person from the other side got to be in another room.
"Who the damned hell are you? If you are no coward, show yourself!" I called out, hoping the person will take me up on the challenge and show themselves, but nothing of that sort happened.
The chuckle came again, but this time from three doors at once, messing with my head. With a growl and a purposeful stride, I marched towards the door and made to open it, only to discover that it was locked.
Damn hell!
I did the same with the other doors as the chuckle increased, and discovered that they all were locked.
"Coward!" I yelled out to whoever it was that was playing tricks on me. I had half the mind to call out to Fan, to help me out, but I withheld the call, eager to do things myself.
If it comes to a fight, I will be able to give the person a punch or two on the jaw.
I didn’t get to hear the chuckle again. What I heard close to 30 minutes later was the sound of a door getting opened. It was so loud in the otherwise silent hall that it sent goosebumps down my spine, shocking me to the core.
I turned, expecting to see the one behind those creepy, dark chuckles, but I didn’t see anyone.
"Who is there?" I called out, taking a step towards the place, only for the door to be shut. Once more, I was left to stand in the empty hall, staring at the closed doors, and wondering who the hell was playing such a trick on me.
With a sigh, I continued down the hall, eager to get out. Instead of taking the left when I came to a Y junction, I took the right, eager to get out.
Dark chuckles followed me through the halls until I got to one that was wholly different from the last one. Out here is so lively, it seemed like the hall that led to the throne room.
I was far from the stairs, which made me wonder who among the royal princes had such a bright hall.
Beautiful paintings of fireworks and waterfalls were hung on the walls, making the place really inviting. It’s just a pity that Storm has such a dull hall.
As I did to the others, I peered at the closed doors as I hurried down the hall, knowing I had gotten lost, but not ready to give up just yet.
I know I can rely on Fan to help me out should I be unfortunate enough to get stuck here.
"The rumours didn’t lie. What a nice figure," someone whistled behind me.
I wheeled back, surprised at the sound of a person’s voice. It was so unlike the chuckle that would have led me to intense insanity.
A man stood next to one of the closed doors that I walked past, wearing a blue wrapper around his waist.
On his chest are different tattoos, which weren’t depictions of animals, but books and waterfalls.
My eyes went further up. Unlike the other men I have seen so far, this one doesn’t have any muscles. He has such a lean waist that could only be associated with swimmers.
When my eyes finally reached his face, I gasped in shock. Standing in front of me is a younger version of Storm, but with a mischievous smirk on his face.
His green eyes shone with so much mischief, it made me wonder which of the prince this might be.
But it wasn’t much of an issue because the only princes I haven’t met are the two princes with opposite personalities.
The one standing in front of me doesn’t seem that bad, which means he’s the friendly prince.
