Transmigrated As A Feisty Omega -
Chapter 106: Kingdom of Thalma
Chapter 106: Kingdom of Thalma
No words were exchanged between us throughout the ride. There were no more assassination attempts, which I’m grateful for. Having seen enough blood today, I have no desire to see more, lest I die.
The ride wasn’t bumpy, since they slowed down for me. Through the night, they journeyed, while I slept, with Storm wide awake.
He was awake when I slept and when I woke up, making me wonder if he had even taken a wink.
"Why are you staring at me?" He snapped when he noticed my attention on him.
I scowled at him but didn’t say a word. Instead, I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep. However, it didn’t last for long. The next thing I heard was the shout from Phil.
"His royal highness, Prince Storm Ashton of Thalma has arrived!" His voice rang out.
I hastily rose from the blanket, and rushed to the window, to peer out, gasping at the beautiful sight in front of me.
Goddess, have mercy.
The stone path is lined with exotic flowers and beautiful designs on them. And this is saying something since we haven’t entered the gates of his city.
I gaped at the crystal river on both sides when I finally realized that we were crossing a bridge.
Storm murmured something under his breath, but I didn’t quite catch that.
I gaped in awe, watching the beautiful sight in front of me, drinking in the mesmerizing sight.
The great gates were opened, and the carriage with the guards entered into it. And once more, I’m left to gape at the place.
The village, Storm is ruling, is nothing compared to this beauty that threatened to steal my breath.
God, I think I have found the right place for me.
People lined along the pathway that led to their palace, with their heads bowed as the carriage moved past.
Their women, unlike their men, have two wrappers on them, one on their chest and the other on their waist.
They have more than three beads on their waist, and three on their neck. Their bodies are littered with beautiful little tattoos, and in the middle of their eyebrows, there is a black dot on it.
I stared, mesmerized by the beauty of the women, wondering if all of them are celebrities who got thrust into this world. All their men are muscular, while their females looked like A-list actresses.
"Staring at the females?" Storm leered.
I turned to him with a smile, "of course. It has been long since I last saw beautiful women like them. God, I miss my kingdom." I said, to get a rise from him.
He gritted his teeth, "continue dreaming!"
He angrily closed the window of the carriage as the shouts of long live the crown prince began to ring from the villagers.
I bit my bottom lip, regretting my words. Had I ignored him, I would have had the opportunity to watch the village and check out their houses.
But I had to be a smart-mouthed bitch.
We continued on the journey until we reached the palace. I only knew we had reached when Phil’s voice rang out once more.
A few minutes later, the carriage door got opened by a guard I’m not familiar with. I’m just in luck that Storm didn’t take that stupid guard with him — the one that attempted to kill me. Else, I would have had more on my plate.
Storm got down, and I followed suit, almost tripping on my feet. He only stared at me before he turned and started climbing the short flights of stairs up to the palace.
My jaw hit the ground when my eyes finally took in the palace of Thalma, built entirely with gold. It looked like a mix of Victorian and English-styled houses, except for a steep gabled roof and round towers.
"What are you still doing?!"
I immediately tore my attention from the house, and back at the prince, who was staring at me with a pissed expression on his face.
"Coming!"
I hurried up the stairs and after him, not ready to get scolded by him a second time. The carriage was taken back by the men with us, while three of the guards flanked us from behind.
There was no sign of Ray, and that made me worry.
What if he was killed by those men who wish to assassinate Storm? I don’t think I can bear the thought of losing him — not at all.
I hurried after Storm, right in time to meet him at the top. Three of the guards by the door gave me a long curious look. Their eyes took in my strange dresses before they went to my face.
They looked shocked, and I can tell they hadn’t seen dresses like mine.
Pity, there are enough where I come from.
Should they willingly make me their king, I promise to give him enough dresses to last them a lifetime.
"Are you going to stand there all day staring at him?!" Storm growled at the men.
With his appearance and the hard tone he made use of, it’s impossible not to scare anyone.
With shaky hands, they opened the large door, and Storm stepped in. I did the same, similar to the guards with us.
"Wow."
Once more, this place continued to stun me. It seemed like the king —Storm’s father — was determined to flaunt his wealth as much as he could.
Chandeliers hung from the roof of the house, lighted with the strange fire in bulbs. The floor is completely covered with plush blue rugs, making me wish to remove my sandals and walk barefoot on it.
"My prince," a guard bowed the moment he started walking towards the stairs. By the side of the halls are closed doors which either lead to the study, parlour, kitchen or dining rooms.
I don’t know what the people from this era used their rooms for. It might be like Storm, who has more dungeons than actual rooms in his palace.
