Transmigrated As A Feisty Omega -
Chapter 100: He’s a bloodthirsty madman
Chapter 100: He’s a bloodthirsty madman
"7!"
"Hmm," he shrugged. "The moment it’s seen that you are ready to serve, you are bundled away to do just that. Isn’t it the same in your kingdom? I heard yours is earlier. 5 years old are permitted to go to war as long as you can shift into your wolf."
I bit the bottom of my lips, and tried not to say a word because what the hell? How can they bundle someone up when they are still kids? I can’t even recall what happened when I was five years, but I sure as hell was still in my mother’s bosom then.
It’s illegal to do something harsh to kids. Teaching them about the harsh realities of life, and expecting them to do what? Take it with strides, or what the hell that will be?
"Shocked? Seems you’re not very knowledgeable about what happened in your kingdom. Your father is a ruthless man, a killer. It’s a wonder Storm left you alive after what your father did to him."
"Huh?"
What the hell did my father do to him? Stole his land? Took a guard from him?
"The scar that ran across his back was given to him by your father."
"Scar? What scar?"
I have seen him naked countless times, but I’ve not seen any scars on him. What the hell is this man talking about? Which kind of scar is it that I haven’t seen it?
"Haven’t you seen him naked? It’s on his back, across his heart. The wound almost killed him. That was why your kingdom was the first he destroyed when his father gave this village to him.
He left none of the Amalites aside from you, alive. They are all dead, brutally killed by a man, thirsty for vengeance."
I frowned.
Despite knowing that Storm is a bloodthirsty man with enough blood in his hands, I can’t bear to hate him. I love him too much to fault him for things like this.
"Hmm."
I got out of the river and wrapped one of the wrappers he got for me, around my waist.
I will just have to ask Fan for enough clothes to last me for as long as I will be here, which will be long enough.
Storm’s percentage hasn’t gone up a bit. It’s still in the damned negative! Yet, I’m not ready to give up. I know he will come to love me sooner than later. I just need to give him time and work towards getting him to rely on me.
"Aren’t you pissed with him? Don’t you wish to get revenge for your people who died in his hands?" Ray looked like he expected me to go on a killing spree, demanding that Storm fight me to the death.
Pfft.
If only he knows that I’m not the same Brys. I’m just a transmigrator, who’s here on a mission. I don’t know the Amalites that were killed despite inhabiting the body of one, which is for the best.
This way, I won’t feel guilty for loving someone who killed my loved ones.
"No, I don’t. Your Storm is lost. There is this darkness that’s always brewing in his eyes. I just wish to help him. I don’t have the heart to do anything bad to him." I wiped my hair with the second spare wrapper I managed to coax him to get.
Ray isn’t so bad. Though the dark glare in his eyes, when he looks at me, is still there, I can feel an intense change in him.
"Lost?" He laughed at my words, looking like I said something funny when I didn’t.
I frowned, glaring at him with my eyes narrowed and my mouth pursed.
How can he laugh when I’m saying something Important? Does he think that I won’t be able to do that?
"Do you even know who you are dealing with? He’s not a mere Werewolf. He’s a demon. A bloodthirsty one." He looked at me with an expression that looked a bit like fear. "You are lucky you met him when his mood is stable. There will come a time when you will wish you never met him. Storm has an unstable mind. Most times, he’s known as the bloodthirsty madman."
Goosebumps materialized on my skin. Not only because of his words but the expression in his eyes when he said those. There is no way a grown-up man can say words like that if he doesn’t mean it.
He looked so scared of the Storm he was referring to, making me wonder if I will be able to complete this task.
So far, I have not seen the darkness he spoke of. Could it be related to his nightmare?
Who the hell is this Storm, and why does his supposed best friend fear him?
"Have you known him for long?" I asked, trying not to think of his earlier words. For now, I need to know more about the man I’m going to be with.
"Yeah. I was assigned to him three months after I joined the army." He sighed, "back then, his moods were stable. He wasn’t that insane. It might be because he was still young. But all that changed when he turned 9. That was when he killed his first man, and since then, he hasn’t stopped at all."
My breath hitched, and I frantically rubbed on my skin.
What the hell have I gotten myself into? Is it too late to call na end to this mission?
But what will happen to my babies? I need to be able to level up, so I can see them. If I drop this mission, it means I will not only lose my Storm, but I will lose my baby — forever.
"I can do it," I peered at Ray, who looked at me as if I had somehow lost it, which might not be far from the truth. To decide to love a madman, you have to be insane. "I will help his darkness. Just wait and see."
