Chapter 74: Saving a bunch
Chapter 74: Saving a bunch
"Hmm..." Izzy first gathered the bodies of the three killers. They had not killed them so she piled them up and KiRA who appeared out of the blue tied them up with his golden strings.
She took care of the three Pkers while the six that were being attacked calmed down and looked after one another for the time being.
They wanted to ask her who she was, ask the person that had appeared out of nowhere if he was a healer since their mage had recognised the Holy Power, but they did not approach the two just yet.
KiRA and Izzy thought about what to do with the three, they opened up the forum and filed a complaint to the Association instead of taking their lives.
The association would know what to do with them better and instead of someone like the two of them, the association would have better people to get the most out of these three criminals.
"They should be here in a few minutes. Let’s wait till then." She announced to the group before returning her gaze to KiRA and nodding at him.
She knew there was no need to worry about these small fries. They didn’t have anything special about them either.
The group of three was the same, but the two at least didn’t want to abandon them. Especially the porter. She seemed to be the most interesting one among the six.
"Ummm..." When the two of them finally finished their talk and approached the group, the mage, who seemed to be the leader, bowed to the two of them before saying anything.
"Thank you for saving us!" Then he shouted his thanks, and right behind him, the rest of the group also thanked the two of them.
"Thank you for saving us!"
The group seemed to be different from the groups that were randomly formed outside of the tower area.
They seemed to be from different parts of the world from their appearances, however they all seemed to be closer than the usual groups that were formed randomly.
From what the two of them had observed until now, the group seemed to be a party of friends, perhaps ones that used to play games together or were connected in some way.
They were in the same party, they had good synergy, and the only reason they were able to survive against these PKers for so long was also because of their trust in one another.
"It’s fine. There’s no need to thank us... Can you tell us what happened instead? Were you attacked by them randomly?" Isah wanted to know where they encountered them to know if there were more of them out there.
She loathed monsters like them, the ones who killed for the sole pleasure of seeing blood. She had never liked people who did not have any justification for their actions.
The shallowness of someone was the first thing she noticed when interacting with people. She was trained to read the opponent as deeply and as diversely as possible.
And thanks to that, she knew this group was a good prospect for recruitment.
"Ah, yes!" The mage captain answered her question with as much detail as he could.
He told them how they were hunting up north from here when the three of them suddenly jumped down from the trees.
According to the mage captain, the three of them weren’t part of a big group yet but from what he had heard from them, it seemed like the three of them wanted to join some kind of organization.
’To join this organization, the three of them had to present proof that they had killed at least thirty players. Individually.’
KiRA was reminded of the native assassin groups, the bandits on various floors, the monsters that lurked in groups and lived to see blood.
Throughout the tower, there was countless evil. The demons may be a prominent evil force, but they were not the worst.
If he had to call any of these groups the worst, then it would be the players, the humans who lived for the sake of the killing.
They were the most disgusting of the bunch and neither KiRA nor Izzy wanted to spare them.
’But not yet...’
The tower may be a lawless place but if they could help the one organization that was working to establish a pseudo order within the tower at least when it came to player activities, then he wanted to support them.
He knew he would get rewarded for turning these criminals in. They did not have anything more to offer him anyway.
"I see. I understand it has been tough for you all." Izzy patted the mage captain’s shoulder and praised him, "You did well".
Hearing that simple praise, those words coming from their savior was enough to almost bring tears to the group’s eyes. However, they did not start crying.
"Umm! Excuse me, big sister!" From the back of the group, the youngest of them, the girl who had been carrying the largest backpack among them, their porter, called her out.
"Could it be that... could the big brother beside you be a healer?"
They were hesitating to ask since she had saved them from those Monsters. Just like the rest of the group, she didn’t think asking for more would be appropriate. But they needed help...
"Can you please help us with healing? Oh! We will pay, of course!"
KiRA was interested in this one. Well, in a skill that the young girl possessed.

============
All of them were wounded after fighting the three attackers. There were not only deep cuts, they even had bruises all over their bodies as if the attackers had used blunt force to harm them just for fun.
They did not have any potions on them and it did not seem like the potions would work either. Plus, their mage captain was suffering the most right now.
He wasn’t showing it, but he was definitely in pain right now.
"You have internal wounds." Izzy could tell just from his unstable Mana. He had pushed himself a little too far.
"..." But the captain was speechless.
He did what he needed to for his party and now that they were safe, he was planning to just go to some secluded place and accept his fate.
Potions weren’t going to save him. This wasn’t something that could be healed right away anyway.
"Sadly though, Kai isn’t a healer. He has Holy power but no healing skills." Iz informed them bluntly, shaking her head with a sad look as well.
"I see..." And the mage had somehow expected that as well.
If they had any way to help them, the kind duo would have already healed them without waiting.
There was nothing that could be done here. They were on their own now... oh, actually, there was one way.
"Though I cannot heal, we have a bunch of potions if you want. 300 coins for one." KiRA stepped forward with his offer and presented to them the goods that he had presented to Chiika’s party on the first floor.
The potions were legit, the mage should have been able to tell that much. And the prices weren’t that high either.
"If you want to get that internal injury treated, that would be 6000 coins. It would only be a partial treatment though, so be warned."
His condition right now was life-threatening but if he took his help, even at that absurd price, he would live.
After proper rest, he should recover completely as well.
But, he would have to trust him with the process.
"It will be a little painful though-."
"I’ll do it."
The mage knew the process would obviously involve pain, but if this person was telling them that he could still live, he didn’t want to miss this opportunity.
He was almost on the verge of throwing up blood. The only thing holding him back from doing so were his friends.
He didn’t want to fall apart while they were still watching. So, it was much better to just endure some pain and exit the tower together with them, and return to the lone life that he lived in the north.
