Tower's Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing -
Chapter 48: The Elders
Chapter 48 - The Elders
'The tower surely is similar in many ways.'
KiRA was done with the lunch as well as their talk.
'This tower shares many similarities to the game however, this is not the same tower that we had in the game.'
From his talk, he had found out that these elders did not know what [Green crystal Lilies] were. They had never even heard of them.
'If it was the game, even the players who had made it to even the 10th floor would have known about these special flowers that grow on the 51st floor.'
The Green eyed tribe was called like that not because they all possessed green eyes. Their eye color was believed to be the result of a natural genetic inheritance.
However, that was not the case actually.
In the game, the green eyed dwarven tribe was the sole consumers of the Green crystal Lilies, potent flowers that possessed a strong venom.
'Not just anyone could consume these potent flowers.'
However, their tribe had consumed the lilies ever since the time of their founder whose Partner loved the flowers and fed it to them almost every single day.
'Sir Sirius originally had brown eyes, and so did his wife, and their children.'
However, thanks to flowers that their tribe started consuming traditionally, the eyes of their descendents started becoming green.
'The older generation was also born with a strong tolerance to many types of poison, an effect that became less prominent in the younger generations.'
In the game, the green eyed dwarves still possessed a strong tolerance to poison. But when it comes to Ouroboros, no hereditary poison tolerance was enough.
"Young one. What are you going to do now that you have your answers?" Thanks to their conversation, the dwarf elders had also figured out KiRA's human tongue.
"I will go and defeat the bosses out there, of course." KiRA answered them with an impressed look, however, he was still lost in thoughts.
'The tower's floors are pretty different as well.'
Just like how he figured out the absence of the green lilies and the impact the entire ecosystem of the floor might have faced, through various questions, he also figured out many other things about the lower floors.
'The past is the same but not the recent history. This tower is not a future version of the tower of Beginning.'
The Tower of Cessation was more like a parallel world to the Tower of Beginning with many similarities.
'The two towers aren't the same but thanks to their similarities, there are many things that I will be able to use... perhaps, the other theory I had might be the truth.'
The Tower of Cessation and the Tower of Beginning had the same Creators– or had something to do with each other.
KiRA had this theory, but he was also unsure about this. So he did not think much about it.
For the time being, he noted down everything he needed to remember and placed it away.
"Haaaa..."
Clearing his head, he looked at the elders who smiled bitterly at him.
"You are carrying a great burden." The elder that had jumped from the window, Elder Blaik spoke in a warm tone.
"It is evident you have people and close ones to rely on, so why are you carrying all this burden by yourself?" The second elder that had Lime green eyes, Elder Karken, asked him the question with a curious look.
He did not talk about them, but the two of them figured out KiRA was not alone. They saw Unity and instantly knew the uniqueness of the small-looking creature.
While her Divinity was sealed and undetectable, both of them could tell there was something very special to this being.
It was no bird, it could access the system functions and they could feel a strange submission towards it, making her far more than a simple being.
And then there was KiRA's smile that appeared every time they asked if he had a partner.
He did not tell them much, but Isah was her name. That much he told them along with how there was a Hero that will protect his people.
"It is not a burden for me, elders." KiRA shook his head smiling. "To climb the tower is a burning desire of mine– in a sense, you could say I aspire to be one of the Trailblazers."
People who had achieved great feats within the tower and had either become a Transcendental name, a divinity, or a Hero who is known throughout the tower– Trailblazers were one of a kind, people who pioneered new paths for the future generations.
"Oh?"
For the descendants of Sirius, the [Trailblazer of Modern Artifacts], just hearing that certain word was intriguing.
"Hahaha~. You're quite something, young KiRA~."
KiRA was also a human on top of that, someone who had the qualities of a pioneer, but not the talents and 'aura' that those people possessed.
"Strangely, I could see you doing great things within this tower."
"Great things, certainly~."
Both of them had become quite close with him in this short time they spent together. However, they knew their time in this world would come to an end pretty soon.
"Won't you need a weapon to take down the enemies on this floor and the floors above then, ambitious Trailblazer?" The Lime eyed elder asked with a smirk on his face.
"Won't you need a useful artifact to protect the people close to you as well~?" Elder Blaik did not stand there anymore.
He glanced at his brother beside him and nodded slightly before picking up KiRA and placing him on his shoulder.
Both the dwarves were three times his weight even though their height was shorter.
They were three times more muscular than him as well so, it was also understandable.
[Barrier Effect: 67:18:31.]
The barrier would stay up for a little less than three days so they needed to finish their work in that short time.
"You told us you possessed some insight in artifact creation and weapon making? Show us what you know then, young one!"
The Dwarves had not used their workshops in a long, long time so the entire place was dusty right now.
After getting 'cursed' by that bi– woman, they also had to put out their Fire and furnace.
Creation of anything was not possible without their tools so, they did not go back to their houses and instead walked very back to the houses.
There was one bigger house among the wooden houses, and when they went inside this doorless house, they were greeted with a sight that soothed the longing souls of the two dwarves.
"The Master Smithy is only supposed to be used by the retired Heads or in cases of emergencies."
"And this is an emergency."
While the outside of the house was already big, the inside was a completely different place altogether.
"Isn't this an amazing place, young KiRA~?"
The entire place was clean without a speck of dust.
The tools here were far more attractive than the ones covered in dust in the other two houses.
There was a forge covered in a special barrier in the very back, tools enchanted with the best of the enchantments, there were tools, there were things displayed in a showcase, and there was an entire humongous room filled with all kinds of materials present on their left.
"This... sure is amazing."
It was just as he remembered. Strange, but this place was the same as it was in the game.
The only difference that he could spot were the number and kinds of artifacts that were present in the display section.
'They are the posthumous works of the late elders of their tribe.'
This place was sacred for even these old dwarves.
The fact that they were beginning an outsider, a human here alone signified how highly they regarded KiRA.
But that wasn't even the best part.
'They're making me free stuff~!'
This was beyond KiRA's expectations.
Knowing the natural rudeness of the Dwarves and even among them, the green-eyed ones being more rude to the humans thanks to their difficult relations, KiRA didn't think he would get much from meeting them.
He was here for information, as well as a certain tree-branch that they did not know about.
He did not think he would have experienced craftsmen like them making him free stuff...
"So? Shall we begin?"
But now that the opportunity had presented itself, he was not going to let it slide.
"Sure. Let's start." He was excited.
Creation wasn't his strongest skill, but then again, at one point in time, he was called the [Pioneer of Hybrid-item Creation] in Tower of Beginning.
He did not have those skills or expertise to create something like that, but he still had the knowledge.
With the materials that he had at his disposal, he was going to create something useful.
Something that would work far better than an item that was categorised under the traditional ranking system.
