Chapter 482: Chapter 420: About to Make a Big Deal, Police Visit (Asking for Monthly Pass)

An hour later, Mrs. Qingshui returned home with a belly full of discomfort. By the time she got home, the remnants of passion had completely faded from her face, yet she couldn’t dare to press her hands against her swollen abdomen.

Because of her age, she had already been fitted with an intrauterine device, so Aoyama Xiu Xin had not taken any protective measures.

Besides, he had always firmly believed that interactions between people should be intimate without any barriers; those hindered the sublimation of emotions.

It was simply unpleasant.

Qingshui Yi, anxious about his mother’s endeavor to persuade Aoyama Xiu Xin, had been waiting at the door. Upon seeing his mother step out of the car, he couldn’t wait and hurried up to meet her.

"Mom, what did Aoyama Xiu Xin say?"

Though he was already 18 and a veteran member of the Violent Gang, there was still a hint of childlike innocence about him whenever he was with his mother.

"He agreed," Qingshui Yasuko said with a smile, caressing her son’s face with the hand that had just embraced Aoyama Xiu Xin’s manhood, "He agreed to support your ascension."

"Really?" Qingshui Yi was overjoyed, his heart finally settling down. Out of excitement, he embraced his mother tightly and said, "Mom, you are amazing! To think you really managed to get Aoyama Xiu Xin’s support for me, how did you do it?"

"Well~" Qingshui Yasuko winced with her elegant eyebrows as the sperm of Aoyama Xiu Xin, that normally would never leave the house, rushed to break through, and she bore the discomfort to calmly answer, "What else could I do? Simply promised that the Beihai Family would be at his beck and call from now on."

Though she had just been through a rough ordeal, watching her son’s joyous face made her feel it was all worth it.

"Even so, it must have been your outstanding eloquence that convinced Aoyama Xiu Xin," remarked Qingshui Yi as he pulled his mother inside, "Mom, let’s go and tell Dad this great news. He would definitely be happy for us, even as a spirit in heaven."

"I’ll go change my clothes first," Qingshui Yasuko replied, feeling a little guilty. After all, she still harbored the seed of another man in her belly. To go and worship her recently deceased husband like this was truly... truly shameless.

But Qingshui Yi, overcome with excitement, had not noticed any of his mother’s discomfort. "It’s not too late to change after we’ve shared the good news with Dad. Let’s hurry, Mom."

With no alternative, Qingshui Yasuko could only follow her son to their deceased husband’s portrait while suppressing her shame.

"Dad, your son was incompetent and almost failed to uphold the enterprise you left behind. But fortunately, Mom, with her womanly valor and her glib tongue, persuaded Aoyama Xiu Xin to support me for the chairman position...

Standing there, Qingshui Yasuko felt utterly disgraced. She indeed had used her ’glib tongue’ to convince Aoyama Xiu Xin.

Husband, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Everything I’ve done is for this family.

A single tear trickled down from the corner of her eye.

"Mom, why are you crying?" Qingshui Yi turned his head and noticed, immediately asking with concern.

Qingshui Yasuko sniffled and forced a smile, "I’m just so happy."

"I understand, there’s a Chinese saying ’cry with joy’," Qingshui Yi replied with a grin.

His last four words were spoken in Chinese. Clearly, the pronunciation wasn’t quite standard.

At noon, Aoyama Xiu Xin, holding the file on Jing Shang, arrived at the rooftop where he had last met with Nozaki Cangjian.

Nozaki Cangjian had arrived ahead of schedule. Seeing him arrive, he quickly put out his cigarette and hurried over to bow, "Senior Police Director, you’ve arrived."

"Mr. Nobita, take a look and see if he’s the teacher you were talking about," Aoyama Xiu Xin handed over the file.

"Yes!" Nozaki Cangjian affirmed after a glance, "That’s right, it’s him, the spitting image. Damn, the guy really is a teacher."

A chemistry teacher manufacturing drugs, that does fit the profile.

"Good that it’s him. Has he made any major moves recently?" Aoyama Xiu Xin asked as he retrieved the file.

"He’s ramping up drug production, says he wants to take over the entire Hokkaido market while the four major Violent Gangs are in chaos," replied Nozaki Cangjian.

"Do you have any plans regarding the locations of several factories?" Aoyama Xiu Xin continued to inquire.

Nozaki Cangjian sighed, shook his head, and answered, "He hasn’t mentioned that to me, probably doesn’t trust me enough yet, is hesitant to let me know such information, he handles it all himself."

"Then do you have any evidence on hand that can prove he’s dealing drugs?" Aoyama Xiu Xin frowned.

Nozaki Cangjian still shook his head, "I didn’t know where the synthetic drug factory was when he called us there last time, and I wasn’t prepared in advance. He hasn’t called us to the factory since, so I’ve had no chance to gather evidence."

To prove Jing Shang is the mastermind behind the manufacturing and dealing of drug number 23, besides related recordings, one would least need photos of him at the drug factory or transaction site, or to catch him red-handed by the police.

"By the way," Nozaki Cangjian suddenly remembered something and said, "Because of how explosive drug number 23 is, its reputation has spread, and there are drug gangs from other regions actively reaching out to us, wanting to make bulk purchases. It should happen within a couple of days. If the deal goes through, Jing Shang will surely lead the team personally for this first big transaction since he doesn’t fully trust us yet. This is an opportunity."

For a nascent gang, the first bulk transaction is extremely important, as its success or failure could largely impact future dealings.

As long as they could nab Jing Shang red-handed at the transaction site, at least they could prove his drug dealing. Then, by arresting the other high-ranking members of the Miyazaki family and having them testify that Jing Shang planned the shooting, this case would be closed.

"Okay, keep a close eye on the progress of this matter and report to me at any time," Aoyama Xiu Xin instructed.

They needed to wrap up the investigation of the gunshot case before the arrival of the inspection team, so that they could start with the bait they had thrown, rather than the shooting itself.

Nozaki Cangjian bowed and responded, "Yes!"

...

That afternoon, Aoyama Xiu Xin received a call from Yamada Yuuji, "Mr. Aoyama, the core of the inspection team consists of three prosecutors from the Supreme Prosecution and three police officers from the Police Agency. There might also be some assistants running errands. The team leader is Hirano Hidekazu, the Chief of the Supreme Prosecution Inspector, and the Deputy Director is Gu Tian Chong, the Director of the Organized Crime Countermeasures Division of the Criminal Department of the Police Agency. The details of these and the other four principal members are too complicated to explain over the phone, so I’ve arranged for someone to deliver them to you in Sapporo; they should arrive tonight."

The flight from Tokyo to Sapporo took just two or three hours.

"Great, thank you so much, Mr. Yamada. You’ve thought of everything," Aoyama Xiu Xin thanked him profusely.

Yamada Yuuji laughed heartily, dismissing the thanks, "It’s only right. After all, we are the Xiongcheng Association, and besides, you’re our chairman. Moreover, I wouldn’t have been able to become the chief coordinator without you."

The Xiongcheng Association was now a mature and stable group, and he had received much help from it.

"Then I won’t say thank you anymore. We’ll have a proper drink when I return to Tokyo." Aoyama Xiu Xin said solemnly, then hung up the phone.

Meanwhile, the infuriated principal had enacted his revenge on Jing Shang, first by issuing a notice claiming that a parent had reported Jing Shang for soliciting bribes. When the principal confronted him, Jing Shang supposedly attacked him, leading to the immediate termination of his employment at the school.

The notice caused an uproar at the school.

"Looks can be deceiving. Who would’ve thought Teacher Jing Shang could do something like accepting bribes?"

"Yeah, he always seemed so proud, too good to mix with us. Hehe, what a joke to see his true colors now."

"Something’s not right. I don’t believe Teacher Jing Shang is like that; there must be some misunderstanding..."

While a minority of students didn’t believe Jing Shang would resort to soliciting bribes and assault, most teachers mocked and reveled in his misfortune, seemingly happier than if something good had happened to them.

Next, the principal did something else: he reported to the chief of Sapporo North Police Station, a friend of his, claiming he had been assaulted by Jing Shang and requesting that Jing Shang be detained for a few days.

The chief of the police station didn’t know yet that Jing Shang was the new chairman of the Miyazaki family, so he naturally did not refuse such a reasonable request from an old friend. He briefed his subordinates and arranged for Jing Shang’s arrest.

The officer in charge of the arrest was from the Criminal Department.

He and several subordinates went straight to Jing Shang’s house.

"Bang, bang, bang!" A subordinate knocked violently on the door, shouting, "Police! Open up! Hurry!"

Mrs. Jing Shang opened the door and faced a group of fearsome officers, asking timidly, "Officers, what can I do for you?"

"Your husband, Jing Shang—where is he? Is he at home?" the lead officer asked, his face stern.

Mrs. Jing Shang shook her head: "He’s not here. At this time, he should still be at school teaching students."

"Teaching? He’s been fired. What’s he teaching? Search the place!" the officer assumed she was lying and ordered brusquely.

Mrs. Jing Shang was still processing what "fired" meant when the officers stormed past her into the house, turning everything upside down without regard for the children doing their homework.

Hearing the noise inside, Mrs. Jing Shang rushed in to find her home in chaos and almost fainted, "Oh my! Please be gentle! What are you doing? Stop it!"

But the police didn’t heed her pleas, searching every corner like invaders looking for guerillas.

"Report! No one’s inside!"

"Report! I haven’t found anything here either!"

"Ma’am, your husband assaulted the principal of the school he worked at, and the victim has filed a police report. Call him right now and tell him to come home, otherwise, we’ll have to issue a warrant for his arrest," the officer frowned, then turned to Mrs. Jing Shang, menacingly.

"Ah!" Mrs. Jing Shang, an inexperienced housewife, was panicked and stuttered, "I will, I’ll call him right away."

Jing Shang was inspecting a factory and overseeing the production work when his phone rang, and he answered, "Mosi mosi?"

"What have you done? You actually hit the principal! You fool! The police are at our house waiting to arrest you right now. You deal with the trouble you’ve caused!" Mrs. Jing Shang, terrified by the earlier police intrusion, lashed out.

She was timid in front of the police, but with her worthless husband, she was fiercely outspoken.

Jing Shang’s face darkened instantly; he had never expected that from a single punch, the principal would actually call the police!

Idiot! Such a shameless old fool.

It seemed his threat had been ineffective.

"I’ll be right there," he said and hung up, heading swiftly out of the factory.

He wasn’t afraid to face the police; even if his identity was exposed, it wouldn’t matter. After all, organized crime was a legally recognized entity in Japan, and the authorities had no evidence of his drug trafficking.

But, he absolutely couldn’t afford to be detained now. The gang’s first major deal was about to begin negotiations, and if a minor incident like this derailed the deal, it would be a catastrophe.
