Luis and the white little chick are locked in a stare-down.

The astonishment is evident in the moon elf lord’s eye and on the other side, the chick is looking at Luis with an unimpressed face, that one that someone will give to the pebbles on the roadside.

’This expression.’ The moon elf lord’s brows cannot help but twitch twice.

It was the same face that this thing has given him that one fateful night. The chick was standing on top of the defeated body of the root crawlers. Just like a gladiator who just conquered a big and ferocious lion.

It then gave a nasty side eye to Luis then hopped down and picked up a broken branch of a plant.

There are still leaves and golden berry-like fruits attached to it. The moon elf lord saw it and thought that it kind of looks familiar. He must have seen something like this back on Earth but he can’t pinpoint it because of its peculiar form.

While he is still immersed with his reunion with the chick, Luis didn’t realize that he was crouching in front of Xagrien and his group.

Head down and asses up.

Fortunately and unfortunately, he didn’t see how Xagrien’s pupils shook upon seeing him in this position.

The others who are standing by also looked concerned but they didn’t dare to move forward.

Ilian looked at Xagrien quizzically, silently asking if he knows what is going on.

Probably his intention was recognized by the others, Xagrien dived for their sake and asked the moon elf lord.

Xagrien cleared his throat and walked towards the hole. "What is it, moon elf lord?" He stood in front of the moon elf lord who is still peeking at the tunnel’s entrance.

As though the little chick was facing a strong predator, its body immediately turned stiff and it dropped the branch that it just picked up the moment Xagrien came into view.

Luis raised a brow upon seeing this strong reaction. ’This chick seems to be really afraid of Xagrien. But what gives?’ he wondered.

He raised his head to look at Xagrien, only to meet the crotch of the male god. He was immediately turned speechless.

Luis let his greedy eyes to stare at the impressive bulge sitting on that certain part of the male moon elf.

Seems like he is blessed today. Luis uttered a silent prayer to the moon goddess thanking for such a treat.

Xagrien wears all-leather today, from armor to skirt and the boots. His outfit makes him look heroic and his handsomeness was elevated to new heights.

Luis subconsciously felt overwhelmed by this as he felt the subtle fluctuation in his chest.

Luis unwittingly bit his lower lips as he faced the male’s pride of this moon elf.

Even though the jerk is wearing a skirt today, Luis was taken by the faint outline found on the center of the man’s body.

He stared at it more shamelessly. Though Xagrien is irritating at most times, he must admit that he has a lot of redeeming features and one of them is big enough to shut him up.

Luis wondered what it would look like once Xagrien is running. There must be a nice and soft pendulum swinging. He wondered if the flesh will be ticking...

He felt his chrysanthemum blooming just thinking about it.

What would it feel like to be watered by such a man?

Xagrien was oblivious to how the moon elf lord’s thoughts is panning out right now.

The male god who grew up in the wild doesn’t know how ambiguous their position is right now. He stared at the white fluffy chick with dark green protruding feathers in its crown.

The poor baby is trembling under his gaze.

"This little one. Isn’t this the bird that you showed me back in your camp? Why is it here?" Xagrien inquired.

Luis was pulled out of his little green world upon hearing this.

That was his thoughts too. While flying, he also used his ability as the moon elf lord to enhance his vision to scout and see if there are any hidden threats around them.

Because of this, Luis is sure there aren’t traces that Legland was here.

"Maybe this chick went here by himself?" He sounded uncertain but that is the only reason that he could think of.

Xagrien looked at the chick who is petrified down the tunnel. ’Is this little critter that intelligent?’

He doesn’t think so. It honestly looked stupid as its three dark green standing feathers are vibrating.

"Go away, Xagrien. Can’t you see he is traumatized by you?" Luis said flatly at the model-like moon elf. He did his best not to be distracted by the shining tan of the four-star warrior in front of him.

Xagrien just widens his eyes a little in a response and didn’t bother to answer. He backed away three steps.

Luis then turned to the others behind him and asked them to take a rest first.

They reluctantly left to rest nearby after receiving the signal from Xagrien. Most of them still watched the movements of the moon elf lord and Xagrien with worry and of course, a little intrigue.

Especially Ilian who is clear about the change in Xagrien’s behavior. "Xagrien must have wanted to be the lord’s personal guard so he is acting gentle and accommodating towards the moon elf lord?"

"Or maybe he is sucking up for us, for our sake?"

Anybody who heard this utterance stopped in their tracks and looked at Ilian wondering the same thing.

However, some of them who were sensitive and had more understanding about infatuation and attraction have their own ideas but they chose not to voice them out.

Manulus just shook his head, "Let’s just rest for now, that was the first time in a long while to travel at such a speed so someone must be tired."

And so they rest while watching the backs of the two more closely.

Luis felt the stares as if needles are piercing his back but he just shrugged it off.

He focused on the stubborn little chick.

"Come on, go up. It is not safe there," Luis animatedly said, as though he is talking to a pet dog. He didn’t intend to go inside and poke the wasp’s nest without proper preparation on their side or else they will be thrown into a more dangerous situation.

Xagrien was confused why the bearer is treating that little bird like an intelligent being but he remained silent.

There is a hidden fondness reflected in his eyes as he stared at every gesture of Luis.

Luis is watching the little chick when suddenly, the shadows behind it moved.

He instantly got a bad premonition about it so without second thoughts he jumped right into the entrance to protect the chick.

"Moon elf lord!" Xagrien yelled after seeing the hurried movement of the bearer. His heart is beating painfully with worry.

He rushed forward and jumped into the hole to follow the moon elf lord.

Luis’ instinct is proven on point once again as he is looking at the thing that he caught.

The moment he went inside the tunnel, he immediately grabbed the charging root crawler on its pointed and bony proboscis-like mouth. It felt unpleasant to the touch as it is sticky and grimy. There is also a goo dripping from it.

"This is disgusting, -urk’" Luis utilized all of his self-restraint not to puke. He looked at the white fluff behind him, "Now you are indebted to me again. I swear if you don’t repay me this time, expect me to turn you into a grilled chick."

"Chirp!" The little chick expressed his indignation. He can handle one of those ugly creatures just fine. Who told this featherless being to jump in?

Luis utilized his nature’s energy to enhance his strength to beat it ruthlessly against the walls like a fly swatter.

Left to right and then right to left. Luis didn’t spare an ounce of conscience for the root crawler until it became a mess of flesh.

A strong bloody aroma spread within the tunnel. After making sure that he completed the kill, Luis picked the chick up with his clean left hand and moved a step backwards while monitoring the movements of the other root crawlers inside.

The sunlight didn’t reach the inner part of the tunnel so it is utterly dark beyond them.

Before Luis could even reach the entrance, his back hit a wall. It is a mixture of soft and hard with a few bulges here and there. It felt amazing.

Luis rubbed his back against it to enjoy the feeling some more when suddenly, a warm breath brushed against his sensitive ears.

"What are you doing?" Luis visibly stiffened after hearing Xagrien’s voice. His slutty side retracted back to the deepest part of his being. His cheeks became hot even if he didn’t want to.

Luis cleared his throat. "Move back, we will go back to the surface."

"Okay," Xagrien answered.

But before they could even reach the entrance, the myriad of red orbs started to illuminate the darker side of the tunnel. And it covers from the floor to ceiling of the tunnel.

"Holy shit." That was the thought that came to Luis’ mind after seeing this unfold.
