There's Something Wrong With You, My Lord!
Chapter 167: Wanna Come With Me?

Chapter 167: Wanna Come With Me?

Before the darkness completely blanketed the sky, Luis decided that they needed to be on their way back.

It wasn’t an impulsive decision on his part.

With his subordinates completely immobile due to Xagrien’s paralysis and Xerxes’ hypnosis, the best action for them was to move without wasting more time.

But before that, Luis came to an agreement with Xagrien to slow down a little since his nose spurted lots of blood earlier.

"So, Do you have any plans on moving?" Luis asked the little tree spirit. He approached the python after changing his clothes.

He was now wearing a light blue robe that was said to be the staple wardrobe among dragons and he must admit, the texture of this garment was first class.

It’s soft to his skin, very loose and very easy to take off... If anyone knows what he means.

The spirit of the Heart of the Forest was silently watching the Moon Elf Lord who was casually adjusting his clothes in front of him.

Not sure if it’s because the Moon Elf Lord has a light temperament or the bearer doesn’t impose an oppressive air around him, the tree spirit finds comfortable interacting with the Moon Elf Lord.

’I want to go with him,’ such an out-of-the-blue thought popped into his mind.

He is worried that such an idea would spark greed that he shouldn’t have as a being of spirit. He is also thoughtful of his friend Xerxes.

If he went with the Moon Elf Lord, then what about his friend?

He moved his cylindrical body awkwardly.

Luis noticed it and he stopped adjusting the navy blue belt that holds the robe together around his waist. It may be a fashionable outfit but putting it together was too bothersome!

"Why? Do you have any problems? Or request? What’s taking you too long to answer my question if you wanted to move your place?" He jerked a brow at the spirit.

Feeling offended, the green translucent python stated a defense for himself.

"I don’t have any request, Moon Elf Lord. I am not that shameless to ask one request after another."

"Yes, you got to make sure that the other person was well off and not as poor as me."

"That... I apologize for saying that earlier. You said I can speak honestly, that’s why I said such a thing."

’Yeah, how brutally honest.’

Luis just rolled his eyes. The tree spirit seemed to loosen up after exchanging banter with him so he asked once again.

"Go with me to meet others who could be your new friends or stay here?"

The python paused stiffly. If it weren’t for the sticking forked tongue, he would assume that the tree spirit is petrified by Medusa’s head.

After a while, he murmured, "But what about Xerxes?"

’Oh, I could finally see where this spirit’s thoughts are straying.’

Actually, he had raised this query to Xerxes and according to that adult dragon who’s currently having a continuation of their heart-to-heart talk with Xagrien, it is okay for him to travel around the Amber Forest since it is within the range of the dark magic art, Corpse Soul Transference.

It was only hard for him before because his mana is dissipating making it difficult to maintain the opaqueness of his soul projection and it will also stretch and damage the already brittle body that he had.

Now, Xerxes wouldn’t have any problem moving around if he wills it.

But it seems like this precious friend was oblivious to this.

Should he break it to this ignorant and innocent tree spirit?

"What are you talking about?" Xagrien’s voice suddenly broke the silence.

"Your belt is a mess. Let me fix that," and so the brute positioned himself behind Luis and tied the belt properly.

’There he goes again,’ Luis thought as his heart was beating like it was participating in a race.

Feeling distracted, Luis faced the python in front of him who was forcibly fed with dog food and he couldn’t stop his blush.

"Where was I again?" Luis asked in a momentary stupor. He wanted to hit his head for being absent-minded.

"If I leave with you, then what about Xerxes?" The tree spirit innocently reiterated his question.

This time, it was Xerxes who answered since he went towards them not long after Xagrien latched himself on Luis.

"I will be moving in between the Woodrill Plains and here. I will serve as the Moon Elf Lord’s non-exclusive consultant and at the same time, Xagrien’s guardian as per Mori’s will."

’Then that means I will be left alone for some time...’

Luis noticed how downcast the tree spirit was. At this point, Xagrien caressed his waist after he was done fixing his belt.

"Why don’t you go back to Woodrill Forest since that was your original place?" The brute casually asked without pulling his paws away from Luis’ curves.

’This shameless man!’ The moon elf lord felt as if he was a witch under fire both for being sexually turned on by the simple touch of the man and the shame that comes with it.

Right, he isn’t that thick-skinned contrary to popular opinion about him.

Luis swatted away the man’s hand and added, "You must be aware of the current state of that patch of land. No trees were living in it so it would greatly help if you go back and facilitate the growth of trees there."

The little tree spirit was caught off guard upon hearing this not because he was surprised that the Moon Elf Lord extended an invitation to him, but instead, his guilt struck him like a lightning.

Should he say that it was like that because of his pettiness?

For some reason, he doesn’t have the heart to tell the truth.

On the other hand, Luis is deep in his own thoughts.

Like refurbishing a house, he has the intention to sparsely grow trees around the Woodrill Plains in order to regain their liveliness.

It was simply heart-wrenching to see such a great place with just grass growing around.

It won’t be a problem for him since his wood powers could easily do the trick but that is simply too time-consuming and that would suck him dry.

Thank you very much if he will be sucked in a different way but if it’s like this then it’s a no thank you for Luis.

"Well, Woodrill Plains is the best place for you. It will be easy for you to distribute and manage the energy needed by the trees in the Amber Forest since you will be situated in the center. The core of the forest," Luis tried to reason out.

Actually, he wanted to say that the tree that he is currently residing in looked malnourished and an uncle who just went through a divorce but he bit his tongue and forced himself not to say it.

Luis waited for the tree spirit’s decision and it didn’t take that long before it spoke.

"I... will go then," the tree spirit reluctantly answered. He is still unsettled if he should be exposing himself or not.

"Great," Luis said, happy that he saved himself from trouble. "By the way, how will you transfer yourself to the Woodrill Plains? Should we uproot this tree and transplant you there?"

"No! Great Moon Elf Lord, I will travel through trees..." The python lost his hissing sound as he spoke in the end.

Luis felt the skepticism of the tree spirit, "Any problem with that?"

"The transfer would take him several full moons as he needed to accumulate enough energy along the way to move from one tree to another," Xerxes interjected.

The man with an icy horn on his right forehead looked serious in speaking with him, so serious that he thought that he was speaking to a company boss.

"That is too troublesome," Xagrien reacted from the side.

"At least five full moons, I can manage to reach it during that time limit! I promise!"

Luis shook his head, "That is considered a short time for spirits like you but for us, that is a long time and we can finish a lot of things within that time frame."

Forget about five months, they will be done building the city in just a month.

If that is how it goes, then their city will be treeless for at least a year

"Then what should we do about it?" Xerxes asked.
