There's Something Wrong With You, My Lord!
Chapter 111: Starting Up (1)

Chapter 111: Starting Up (1)

Today was a very normal day in the Amber Forest. The sky was bright with a few cotton-like clouds hanging around, creating a beautiful tapestry. The breeze was a bit warm, but it was strong enough to lull the rich and verdant leaves of the trees in Shane Greenwoods.

That part which was spared from the effects of the Stone Golem’s skill to be exact. This part of the Outer Circle doesn’t have many changes from the day of the previous battle, totally different from the other side which became bald and lifeless.

It has been this way since almost a week ago but today this state was bound to change.

"Grower Skill." A bearer with long black hair said while standing in the center of the bald dark ground.

Right after these words are said, a green root-like light spread from the bearer’s feet to the wide expanse of the lifeless land.

There is a weird symbol that is shining on the bearer’s head as he continuously uses his power.

Not that long after, over a hundred sprouts started growing in the ground where the light was touching. Then it grew into small trees at a speed that is visible to the eyes.

The dark ground rumbled. The creaking sound of the woods is continuously heard, giving a weird soothing effect to anyone who heard it.

"The trees have grown big enough let’s go!" A child’s voice was heard from behind. As if that was the cue, six little boys came running towards these growing trees. Five of them held both of their hands on the thick and sturdy branch. While the other one, the oldest among the bunch remained on the ground, looking at the younger orc child as they ascend with the growing trees.

"Make sure you hold on tight!" Wendell yelled.

"Wendell, shouldn’t you warn them not to do it because it was dangerous?" Luis asked while he was continuously supplying his powers to the trees. No joke, he felt like every blood vessel in his brain was about to pop at these cute little daredevils.

It was a wrong move from him to let them play with the trees earlier! Three times. That is the number of times that these orc children played around with the trees that he was growing.

If he can only turn back time, he will never agree when they ask to experience ’floating in the air’ using these trees!

’You brought it on yourself, Luis.’ his antagonistic conscience b*tched him about it.

"There’s no way that this is dangerous my lord, you are here," Wendell flashed a smile. 13 years old and he’s already good-looking, he will bet his ass that this boy will grow up a heartthrob.

’P*dophelia is a one-way ticket to hell,’ his angelic conscience reminded him.

Thank you very much. He’s got a full-grown, well-endowed hunk with him. He may be a sl*t but he is a sl*t with a clear moral compass.

"Pretty Brother! We are going down!" Nine yelled. His white fluffy wolf tail is swinging left and right due to excitement. The little bird that is supposedly following him dived into the forest. Probably searching for poisonous food. Luis reckons that chick is a very intelligent being so he let it roam around. Nine swing his body twice, let go of his grip on the branches and let himself fall with his arms and legs stretched out in the air. The rest also followed.

Luis didn’t expect that even the timid Nine has this carefree side.

’Sh*t! Children are the most dangerous devils in every world!’ Luis hurriedly manipulated the nature’s energy around him to catch all five falling children. That is at least 500 feet high!

Luis skillfully maneuvered the energy until the five little devil’s feet touched the ground. He could only breathe in relief when he checked and found out that no one was injured in any way.

Luis continued growing the trees until they reached their maturity and bore a few tasty-looking fruits.

It was at this point that Nicol approached him to give him a glass of water, the water that came from the Sacred Spring. "My lord, please rest for a while and don’t push yourself to the limits. These coming two days, I advised you to rest for a while until the rest comes back."

Luis stopped for a while and looked up at the sky. Right, three days have passed since the feast and in those three days, a lot of things happened.

On the same day when most clans went back to their territories, the beast refugees dispersed from the other side of the wall.

They either returned or went out to look for a new habitat. Probably, they did this in fear that the moon elves will throw a feast once again. Maybe this happens, all of them are dragged inside the walls to become the next savory dish.

It was a pity that no one could know...

Nine, the little orc who’s currently running with boys near his age, was staying inside the Adriha Clan’s settlement with the members of the new Lune Clan when that happened so he didn’t get a chance to speak with them once again.

All of these happened while he was busy making arrangements.

Building a city is easier said than done. Luis and his subordinates spent the past two days and nights surveying the land around Woodrill Lake and deciding how certain parts of the land should be used.

Luis plans to create a city complete with public and administrative buildings, an accessible market and of course residential areas. They already have a nearby source of water so a water system should be considered.

On top of these, roads are also something that they needed to plan ahead of time.

Seriously, his head has been spinning like a top since the time he decided to build a city.

He might really drop the idea if it weren’t for the fact that the system has triggered its "petty quests" after the update.

Luis looked at the annoying box hovering in front of him.

[You see, City] says the quest name.

It is a bronze-tier quest that only gives a small number of system points and EXP points.

Should living be this hard? If he can sell his body for a living then he will gladly do so. Of course, Xagrien will be his only patron. Hihihi.

Out of Nicol’s advice, Luis decisively drops his work and rests for a while.

"How was their training?" He emphasized the last word.

"They are fetching some lumber in the Hyon Clan’s territory, my lord. While some are just around the corner, trying to collect more stones or building roads connecting the Woodrill Lake."

"I see good work then," Luis could only sigh.

He could already picture what was happening. The Lune Clan taught the other clans their technique for instantly drying their woods. So more or less, the fire, water and wind-power moon elves are the ones who are responsible for drying the lumbers. While the earth power moon elves are the ones who are in charge of building the road.

Luis cannot blame them though.

Seeing that their moon elf lord is doing a lot of work. His subordinates, together with the folks from the Adriha, Hyon, Yultin and Portun Clans, volunteered themselves to procure the materials that will be needed in construction.

Of course, Luis refused and told them to rest but they insisted that it was for the sake of training their control over their elemental powers.

Luis can only acquiesce in the face of his hard-working subordinates. He sent Legland to supervise them and even Xagrien, his gorgeous lover and Olyn, his faithful servant, asked for his permission to join.

Just...wow.

So the moon elf lord busied himself with the work of turning this patch of land into an orchard.

"I grew 300 trees. There are still 2,000 more." He murmured. It will be best if he can finish that today.

"My lord...You’re not thinking of completing it in one day, right?" Nicol helplessly asked.

"Of course not!" Luis answered almost instantly, trying to mask his guilt. "Anyway, your cheeks are no longer hurting right?"

Nicol shut his mouth and answered almost silently, "Yes, my lord."

Luis found out that it was due to his confrontation with his father. The patriarch of the Ris Clan.

Luis wanted to offer his help to convince the Ris Clan about the usage of the Woodrill Lake but he opted not to since the issue didn’t escalate and if he tried to meddle with a settled business, this would put doubt on Nicol’s abilities. Which is an absolute no-no.

"By the way, how was–" Luis intended to ask about Nereen’s state when suddenly something went past them. "What the hell?!"

Blag! A loud sound of something hitting the tree was heard and then it was followed by another one.

"Uncle Ilian!" The orc children cried in surprise.

"Olyn, who did this to you?" Luis stood up with great urgency and asked his number one servant. "I’ll kill him!"

"Yes, kill him!" The children echoed.

"That is a very strong word, kid. Only adults are allowed to say that." Luis reprimanded them for a split second.

Olyn stood up with great difficulty, "No, my lord, this is just training."

"Yes, combat training," Ilian said after spitting his saliva.

"Exactly, my lord." Luis heard a familiar voice. "Xagrien."

This moon elf lord stared at his lover dead in the eyes. "Sending people flying is combat training?! Look at the tree, the force even made a dent, this may have caused terrible bruises! Look at Ilian, this poor male must have had injuries in his chubby body." Luis proceeds to take off the sleeveless shirt that Ilian wore.

"Kyaaah!" Ilian crossed his arms over his chest. "Xagrien!" He cried for help.

"My lord!" Xagrien shouted, his face dark like the bottom of a pot. It took his all to forbid himself from calling the Luis’ name. Why does his bearer have to undress someone else?!

"Wait, there were no bruises?" The moon elf lord, who was oblivious of his man’s jealousy, looked as if he had seen a miracle when he saw the state of Ilian’s body.

Nicol stepped up to explain that the moon elves’ bodies have become more sturdy after receiving the moon goddess’ blessings.

"So that’s what it was. Here are your clothes, Ilian. I apologize for undressing you but just advice. Your nipples are too dry, you might want to put something that will moisturize that." Luis realized that there are children around him. His face turned bright red. ’This mouth of mine!’

"Those are adult things, kids. So just forget it for now." He tried to minimize the damage that he might have caused to their innocent mind.

Nicol couldn’t maintain his poker face and he silently giggled. It was followed by another innocent soul Olyn, who just laughed because he was influenced by Nicol’s giggle. Then Luis and the kids.

What a peaceful yet busy day.

Luis spent the entirety of his day supervising their combat training and growing fruit trees. When it was about to get dark, they all threaded their way back.

They were walking while happily conversing with each other when suddenly, Rean ran towards him, bringing good news with him.
