There's Something Wrong With You, My Lord!
Chapter 110: The Lord’s Way (3)

Chapter 110: The Lord’s Way (3)

They all stood to look at the direction where it was coming from and there, they saw the sentinels and priests lining up around the stone stage in an orderly manner.

Goosebumps appeared to everyone who saw this happening. This manner. This solemnity only means one thing. The moon elf lord is here!

All moon elves excitedly rushed towards the open field.

"Do not move haphazardly! We have children in our midst!" Denzel, the sentinel, immediately steps in to maintain public order.

Hearing this, the moon elves calmly walked towards the stone seats. Their eyes trail to the certain group where the orc children are walking together.

"Thank you!" Tate, the youngest of the orc boys, waved his hand with a bright smile on his face.

"Ah, my heart!" Gea, a bearer from the Hyon Clan clenched his fist in the center of his chest due to the adorableness of the little boy.

"So disgustingly exaggerated." Aryn rolled his eyes at his frenemy.

He faced Sibal and his group and said, "Let’s go."

Tate was a very playful boy, he flashed a smile at Sibal and the other older brothers in their group then he skipped his way towards Aryn. He held the end of the bearer’s clothes and said, "Thank you for helping me back then, gentle older brother!"

"Older brother? That old bearer already has an adult son!" Gea jokingly said to which Aryn only sent dagger eyes. He ultimately ignored this attention-seeking bearer and looked fondly at the bright little boy.

Aryn playfully messed with the lad’s dark blue hair. "You haven’t moved on from that? That is what adults should do. When you grow up, make sure you do it when you see the same situation. That is your way of saying thanks to me."

This touching scene put a smile on the faces of the Hyon Clan and the new group.

Out of all the clans, the Hyon Clan is the one who kept the new group close. Their past grievances were buried and long forgotten.

Sylis stopped in his tracks and a tear was threatening to drop from his eyes. He watched as their group was blending with the other moon elves who belong to the clans.

Seeing that he was wearing the same clothes as them only made him more emotional.

"What?" Asked Manulus, he got concerned when he saw the moistness in his friend’s eyes.

"Nothing, I didn’t expect that there will come a day when we blend with the other clans. Is it alright to be this happy?" asked Sylis, a bitter smile on his face.

They have come a very long way. It was an arduous journey that tested their persistence and faith. They gained friends along the way and they lost some. Living in the wild is something that they are used to. But do they want to live a life that is full of danger? Try as they might, they can’t shake off the fact that they are yearning for a place that they confidently say belongs to them.

One where they will not have to be careful or be guilty of trespassing.

But then the moon elf lord came and they were given this once-in-a-lifetime chance to start anew.

Needless to say, they are happy and grateful. However, their life is full of ups and downs and they are afraid that one day, it will all come crashing down.

Manulus and Kalux stopped in their tracks. Right, they also have fears like that but before the atmosphere turned gloomy, they all heard someone speak from behind.

"Who’s holding you back from being happy on this festive night?"

"Xagrien!" They all exclaimed.

"Shouldn’t you be with the moon elf lord," Ilian asked his voice gradually becoming smaller. Fearing that he carelessly exposes his friend’s affair. As of this moment, only their group and the close subordinates of the moon elf lord know about this matter.

The adults in the group looked at Xagrien meaningfully. Although they are in for a great shock, they gave Xagrien their approval as during their "talk" since it was about their dear friend’s happiness.

"He told me to watch from the crowd and he also asked me to do something," Xagrien explained.

"What is it?" Ilian failed to press down his curiosity.

"You will know later on."

Nine approached Xagrien with the flabby white chick on his head. "Did Pretty Brother ask you to get his baby bird, Brother Xagrien?"

"No, he’s too busy to even remember its existence."

Xagrien’s purple eyes nailed the little white chick to its position. It trembled for unknown reason and it hid behind Nine’s white wolf ears.

"Brother Xagrien, don’t threaten the chick!"

Xagrien’s brows meet and he said, "I’m not doing anything though." This bird’s reaction is extremely weird.

However, he just shrugged it off.

"You will have more reasons to be emotional later on so hold it in for a while," he said mysteriously.

Although there are question marks on their heads, the group of 51 people went to their designated benches and stood while waiting for the appearance of the moon elf lord.

The gong stopped banging and Luis appeared at the center of the stage. He was glowing under the moonlight and the leaf-patterned crescent moon on his forehead was shining. Luis looked ethereal. The moon elf lord was attended by his servant Olyn. On both sides, there stood the head priest, Nicol and the head sentinel, Legland.

The image of high-ranking moon elves standing together was so impactful that most of them could only stand in awe.

"Woah... I’ve been saying this numerous times since the moon elf lord received the Moon Goddess’ Blessings but, the moon elf lord’s beauty is simply breathtaking."

They heard someone blurt out from the back. Sibal and the others straightened their backs and looked at Xagrien, worried about their friend’s reaction. During their conversation, they warned him about the potential appearance of rivals and Xagrien broke a plate and scorched a chair because of it.

They fear that this time, someone’s face will end up bloody.

But to their astonishment, Xagrien looked chill. "What? He is just telling the truth."

Xagrien shamelessly said. Besides, his bearer has given him multiple assurances that he will only be his.

The silver-haired male licked his lips, he is confident that the moon elf lord will only choose him.

His eyes are fixated on the bearer and as if they are one in mind, their gazes locked, [What are you looking at? Do you want another round?] He heard Luis say jokingly through telepathy.

Xagrien only smirked at the serious face of the bearer. Not even a shred of clue that Luis was speaking naughty to him. He didn’t dare to answer back and he let him do his business.

The moon elf lord said his greetings and motioned them to sit down.

"I am thrilled to find out that all 14 groups living in the Amber Forest have joined me to unite as one. I know that some of you are worried about the direction that we will be heading from now on. So I am here to briefly say some important things."

"Firstly, I do not plan to solely rule all of you. The clans will remain and because of that, I decided to have capable individuals who will help me make policies and laws that ensure the prosperity and security of our future city. Those people should have the heart of a leader who cares for the welfare of the public and is experienced in leading their people. Together with me, the moon elf lord, we will create a tribunal. An administrative body that decides the path that we are heading to." Luis declared in the face of astonishment and bewilderment of the crowd. He motioned to Nicol, who’s been hiding from him for half a day due to a slight bruise on his cheeks. Luis still doesn’t have the chance to ask him so despite his concern, he left the questioning for later.

The Head Priest stepped forward, "Everyone who will be called, please stand up. Hylolas of Hyon Clan." His solemn baritone voice reverberated through the cold night. One by one the clan’s patriarch stood up from their seats. Most of them already expected it but what caught them by surprise was the last name who was called.

"Sibal from Azure Wolf Tribe." Nicol’s clear voice was carried by the night wind. Not just the other spectators, even Ilian, Manulus and the others are shocked to hear that. Sibal was petrified in his seat, not knowing if he should stand up. What if he misheard it?

They are not an idiot to not know what is going on, everyone who was called by the head priest should be the individuals who were selected by the moon elf lord.

"I can’t believe that my moon elf lord is right about this." They all heard what Xagrien said and in an instant, he pulled Sibal to stand up.

The moment Sibal’s tall stature is seen in the crowd. Scattered applause was heard. In confusion, he looked up to see the moon elf lord who was clapping at him. "You guys should decide your group’s name starting tonight," Luis said loud and clear.

He looked at the tall and muscular man whose temperament was much calmer and gentler than he looked. According to Xagrien, he is the most level-headed among them and the most caring one. A perfect candidate for a leader.

"My lord, what-"

"The Moon Goddess’ Temple hereby declared that we recognized your group as one of the legitimate clans who will live from now on in the Amber Forest," Nicol said with a smile in his voice.

"It doesn’t matter if you are an orc or a moon elf. If you are one of us, then you are one of us." Legland said from the side.

Tears suddenly pooled in the eyes of the brave and strong warriors who were once wandering in the wild.

Sylis bowed his head while his tears were cascading down his cheeks. Hares and Gab gave themselves a one-armed hug. Ilian was hugging Wendell, the oldest of the orc children, aged 13. The chubby moon elf was bawling with his sticky snot almost dripping on the boy’s head.

"No! Uncle Ilian!"

Contrary to the emotional adults, the children are jumping up and down in glee.

Sibal, who was used to being composed, found himself trembling due to extreme joy. He may not be a moon elf but he knows clearly what it means to be recognized. They will no longer need to bow their heads.

"Brother, name! Our clan’s name!" Nne excitedly grabbed his brother’s wrist and shook it twice.

Right! The name! He immediately panicked. But he instantly calmed down when he saw the encouraging smile of the moon elf lord. His eyes lingered on the crescent moon on the moon elf lord’s forehead.

Wolves and Moon elves. If there is something that binds them, then it is the silver sphere hanging in the sky. The wolves’ fascination with the moon was innate and natural. They will howl in celebration of its majesty.

And the moon that they will always look up to was the bearer that saved them.

"Lune," Sibal said after a short silence. "We are the Lune Clan."

"Then that settles it." Luis nodded in satisfaction. Despite the pressure and the surprise, Sibal managed to think of a fitting name. He was looking forward to seeing what kind of leader this man would turn out to be.

"The Tribunal will be composed of the representatives of the following clans: Hyon, Adriha, Yultin, Portun, Gyuri, Horio, Kiga, Ris, Heran, Rosen, Gilin, Soriya, Isan and finally, the Lune Clan," Luis said in conclusion. "I look forward to seeing you once you come back. Let’s build a strength that the entire continent will recognize."
