There's Something Wrong With You, My Lord!

Chapter 102: The Lord’s Fake Choices (6)

"While the efficiency of this training technique is high, I want to stress that this process could cause discomfort or pain in extreme cases. There is also this unknown factor of Soul-Element Resonance, that I have no-idea about. The only thing we know that anyone who is practicing beginner’s training will have a 30 percent chance of experiencing it. Meanwhile, those who are practicing intermediate has the possibility of 40 to 50 percent."

"it is risky," Luis ultimately warned them. "So I will understand if you refrain from practicing it."

He had seen Olyn writhe on the ground due to extreme pain. His red face was contorted, sweat was dripping everywhere and his number one servant was screaming at the top of his lungs.

If someone who has a strong physique and trains by lifting boulders could suffer like this, then how much more for those who don’t?

Luis may be greedy for stronger subordinates but it is unlike him to compromise the free will of his people.

He will lead, not dominate.

He may entrap them in a scheme but he will always see to it that they will handle it in their way.

’Surprise me if you can,’ that is what Luis says as the base leader.

"Pardon my impertinence, my lord," he heard Xagrien speak from behind.

"Yes?" Luis instantly answered as he looked back and there he was greeted with the tender gaze coming from the male’s purples orbs.

The moon elf lord almost held his breath. Xagrien’s magnetic effect towards him never ceased to take his breath away.

"Everyone who lived in the Amber Forest, no, in the perilous land of the Immortal’s Glade will not shy away from the pain. An injury is welcome if, in the end, it will make us stronger."

The confidence and certainty from these words immediately resonated with the more than 51,000 spectators. Right, they are living in this dangerous land for a very long time and they are thriving.

The previous battle may have crushed their confidence in their strength.

But what of it?

They are survivors. They will carry on living and fighting adversaries every single day. Until the day they die.

The loud thumping came from the crowd, especially from the warriors. They stomped on the ground and beat their chest with their clenched fist. Like the water that broke free from its container, this movement started spreading from the elders, and bearers to the patriarchs. Even the sentinels are joining in.

One then two thumps. This became a rhythmic sound reverberating throughout the entire field. It’s as if the crowd’s heartbeat is being carried by the wind.

The goosebumps on Luis’ arms are evident as he is taking in this sight. ’These guys!’

"Well, that came from the strongest and the youngest warrior that we know of. We agreed, my lord." Legland said the smirk on his face is clear under the bright sun.

"He totally beat us to it," Nicol seconded.

"It’s not that painful, my lord," Olyn said. "Maybe just enough for me to urinate without knowing it."

Luis laughed, ’Maybe I saved an entire world for me to be surrounded by such amazing people.’

Coincidentally, his dark green eyes met Xagrien’s purple ones. ’Plus a handsome, hot and "hung" boyfriend who’s captivated by me.’

[This lord likes you so much, Xagrien] he said through telepathy and made a finger heart in the male’s direction.

He snappily faced the crowd so he missed the sight of blushing Xagrien. The male god could only wipe his lips to hide the smile threatening to bloom on his lips.

"Okay, if that is the case then I will give it to you, right now." The moon elf lord declared.

’Now?’ they all thought as they were confused about how it would be given to them.

But this confusion is short-lived.

The leaf-patterned crescent moon on the moon elf lord’s forehead shone.

Luis enhanced his arm’s speed and clicked the ’Share’ button on both manuals. The speed was comparable to the speed of life so no one noticed it except for Xagrien, who knows that his lover is hiding something.

The body of the Moon Elf Lord emitted a faint silver light. The same light that appeared that night.

’This energy again’, Luis consciously noted this peculiar yet eerily familiar power. It isn’t based on mana or nature’s energy.

The amount released when he passed the manual to his subordinates and Xagrien is not this intense.

’Well, this much showmanship is needed to establish myself in these subjects of mine.’ Luis thought. He has no idea that this act will put him on a pedestal that is no longer at the level of the moon elf lord. This will manifest in the far future, the time when he can no longer refute it.

A bright silver orb condensed in front of him. With a wave of his hand, it burst into a thousand, or even a million pea-sized balls.

These orbs looked like the stars in the night sky.

"How beautiful!" Rean watched this scene with hearts visible in his eyes. It’s as if the night sky was summoned down here, in the middle of the day.

Then it moved like a stream of water until they reached their targets, the moon elves.

The silver orbs gently penetrated their foreheads. None of them are panicking or doubting that it will harm them. These things have a very soothing aura so how can they perceive it as a threat?

"The information is all inside my head!" Someone from the crowd exclaimed. The details of the technique are embedded in their souls in a way that makes it easier for them to understand. It is a universal knowledge that doesn’t need texts to comprehend.

Everyone present looked at Luis with great wonder and admiration. ’The moon elf lord is omnipotent!’

If Luis happens to read their minds then it is sure that he will convulse on the spot. It isn’t him who made this happen, it is the system!

"Thank you so much for this wonderful gift, my lord!" They all exclaimed in chorus. The level of their excitement almost blew up the open field.

"You deserved it," Luis smiled. A smile that means everything is going as planned.

He let them build up their excitement for a few moments and he said. "Actually, that is just a part of my gift for you."

The crowd instantly stopped their chattering and almost religiously, they gave their undivided attention to the moon elf lord.

"This is concerning the incident that happened recently. It is already a confirmed fact that someone is trying to annihilate us. I got to verify it first-hand before the stone golem appeared. Rion from the Oriole Clan, Olyn, my servant and Xagrien, my–," Luis paused and discreetly looked at the male, asking if he should say their relationship but to his surprise, the male god shook his head.

’Well, revealing the dating status of the moon elf lord will inevitably cause massive waves and this isn’t the perfect time.’

So Luis continued, "We fought with his proxy."

"Is he strong, my lord?" Legland asked for the sake of the curious eyes of everyone.

Luis shook his head, "The strength is impossible to gauge since he is clearly messing with us. He isn’t taking this seriously at all. At best, I can infer that he must be testing the waters. Probably trying to estimate our strength so he can adjust his plans for the next time they strike."

This time, everyone’s faces are painted black.

A lot of them sustained injuries.

A huge part of a lively forest was destroyed.

Countless beasts became homeless because of this disaster.

Yet, all of these are caused by someone messing around?

The excitement from receiving the grace of the moon elf lord diminished a little bit. Silently, they all agreed to avenge the grievances they experienced now. This thought also gave birth to a greater motivation to become stronger.

Seeing the expressions on their faces, Luis said in a calming voice. "I can understand your feelings right now. However, revenge is still far from our capabilities. We don’t know what lies in the land beyond the trees that we are seeing now. And we are in a state that requires us to improve in a lot of aspects."

"The situation is not in our favor and at any time, they can commit the same atrocities in your territory. You must know that not all times I can be present in the places near you. The threat was discovered early since I am out traveling with the intention to pay a visit to your territories. If I’m still staying in the temple, can you imagine the destruction that the root crawlers and the stone golem will cause?" Luis paused and his dark green eyes scanned the crowd.

Various scenarios are slowly taking shape in the minds of everyone, orcs and moon elves alike. But one thing is certain, deaths will be inevitable. They knew that only the moon elf lord could deal with that mountain-like enemy and with the plans forwarded by the majestic bearer speaking in front of them, the level of destruction was significantly lowered.

"For this very reason, I came up with a plan. Let’s unite the 13 clans living in the Amber Forest." Luis said.

At this moment, a weak earthquake suddenly broke out. Some bearers are startled but they manage themselves well.

The earthquake slowly gets stronger as if its source is approaching them. But this is far from shocking compared to the Moon Elf Lord’s words that followed.

"Let’s build the first city of the moon elf race in the heart of the Immortal’s Glade, the Amber Forest." Luis declared in a soft tone. However, the wind brought it to everyone’s ears, clear and powerful. This time, it was them who had goosebumps due to the meaning of the lord’s statement.

Right after this was said by the moon elf lord. The humongous serpentine-dragon appeared with its wooden body glimmering under the gentle sunlight. The fan-like membrane on its spine is waving majestically.

It dove its head in front of the moon elf lord.

Luis smilingly jumped on its crown and stood stably in it.

"Protection, that is the last gift that I meant to give you. However, this is something that you can choose for yourself. The Amber Forest is far and wide and you may have to move out of your current territory. That is why I am giving you the chance to decide for yourself." Luis glanced at the shocked faces of the moon elves.

"This matter will be settled by everyone’s vote. So you need to vote wisely." That is the last statement the lord left while he is in the back of the huge serpent.

The befuddled crowd could only watch the retreating backs of the lord.

Xagrien watched this with a small smirk on his face. ’You’ve done it, my moon elf lord." And he turned his back to catch up with his lover.
