Chapter 1464: Chapter 1464: What Exactly Do You Want to Do

After chatting with Ling Ruonan for a long time, Luo Ziling noticed she was tired, so he suggested she go rest.

"You should rest early too. You’ve been busy all day and must be exhausted," Ling Ruonan said as she got up to head to her room to take a bath. She gently touched Luo Ziling’s cheek and added, "Tomorrow we’re going to the Yang Family Old House. Make some preparations, at least mentally."

"Alright," Luo Ziling replied as he followed Ling Ruonan upstairs.

But as he stepped into his room, he suddenly remembered that he had promised to go treat Ouyang Feifei today.

Looking at the time—it was already 9:30—Luo Ziling hesitated.

He didn’t really feel like going; he just wanted to sleep.

So, he took out his phone and sent Ouyang Feifei a message.

"I won’t be coming over tonight. I’m discussing something with my mom."

After sending the message, he waited for Ouyang Feifei’s reply, but to his disappointment, there was no response. Eventually, he lost his patience, tossed his phone aside, and went to take a bath. After bathing, he went straight to bed.

The next day when he woke up, there was still no response from Ouyang Feifei.

However, he did see a message from Yang Qingyin on his phone.

"Junior, did your mom mind me being so abrupt last night?" Yang Qingyin’s message had arrived at 5:00 in the morning.

"Senior, you’re up so early," Luo Ziling replied, "Still adjusting to the time difference?"

But Yang Qingyin didn’t respond, which annoyed Luo Ziling a bit.

He sent another message: "My mom is quite happy. By the way, I’m up. When are we visiting your grandpa?"

Still, no reply from Yang Qingyin. Guessing that she had gone back to sleep, Luo Ziling left her another message: "Call me when you wake up. I’ll come pick you up, how about that?"

About half an hour later, Luo Ziling finally got a call from Yang Qingyin.

"Junior, I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t fall back asleep, so I sent you a message. Then I dozed off again and just woke up now," Yang Qingyin explained over the phone before continuing, "I’m still in bed. Give me another half-hour, and I’ll contact you, alright?"

"Of course, no problem," Luo Ziling replied with a laugh. "Make sure you doll yourself up. I want to be amazed when I see you."

"You make it sound like I’m usually sloppy," she quipped.

"You’re not sloppy. Fine, I’m the sloppy one, happy?" Luo Ziling teased her again. "A scruffy guy like me by your side makes you look even more like a stunning goddess. Does that work for you?"

"You’re such a smooth talker," Yang Qingyin snorted. "Not talking to you anymore. I’m off to take a shower!"

"Talk soon!" After hanging up, Luo Ziling immediately had Wang Zhenjun prepare a car.

In a subtle matchmaking effort to set up Wang Zhenjun and Ye Xiaoli, Luo Ziling decided to bring Wang Zhenjun along when he went out with Yang Qingyin.

When Wang Zhenjun heard they were going to pick up Yang Qingyin, he was delighted and quickly readied the car.

After carefully grooming himself and checking his appearance in the mirror, Luo Ziling, feeling quite satisfied with how he looked, grabbed the gift he had prepared for Yang Yuanshan and left the villa.

Ling Ruonan had already left for work in the morning but had arranged breakfast for Luo Ziling.

Once Luo Ziling and Wang Zhenjun drove away from the villa, they got a call from Yang Qingyin.

Yang Qingyin asked them to wait at a parking lot near her home.

When Wang Zhenjun pulled into the parking lot, they spotted Yang Qingyin’s Audi A4 parked there.

Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin had agreed that it would be less troublesome if all four of them traveled in one car.

Initially, Luo Ziling wanted Wang Zhenjun to drive their Mercedes SUV, but Yang Qingyin suggested taking her Audi A4 instead. In the end, Luo Ziling went along with Yang Qingyin’s plan, and all four of them piled into the Audi A4.

"This car is easier to get in and out with," Wang Zhenjun remarked cheerfully as he got into the driver’s seat. "Our car might have been stopped outside the Yang Family Old House."

"That was my thought exactly," Yang Qingyin agreed.

Looking at Yang Qingyin, who had clearly taken the time to dress up but wore no makeup, Luo Ziling said earnestly, "Next time if my grandpa visits your grandpa, his car will definitely be let in."

Understanding what Luo Ziling meant, Yang Qingyin gave a sheepish smile. "Next time, I’ll follow your lead."

Yang Qingyin’s Audi A4 drove smoothly into the Yang Family Old House without any issues.

Though the temperature was low, the sun was shining brightly. In places sheltered from the wind, it actually felt quite warm.

Yang Yuanshan was sitting in the courtyard, enjoying the sunshine. Beside him sat a radio playing Peking opera. Reclining on a lounge chair with his eyes closed, his fingers beat in time with the opera’s rhythm, clearly immersed in the moment.

"Grandpa, I’ve come to see you!" Yang Qingyin quickly walked over to Yang Yuanshan with a sweet voice. "I wanted to visit you yesterday, but Dad insisted I rest for a day and adjust to the time difference first. I had to listen to him, so I could only come today."

As she spoke, she placed the gifts she had brought from America in front of Yang Yuanshan and grinned. "These are the presents I brought back from America. You can’t not like them."

"Yin’er, come sit down and talk with your grandpa," Yang Yuanshan said as he straightened up, taking the gifts from her. "What did you bring for Grandpa?"

"Just some snacks and a craftwork item. Don’t dislike them—they were bought with my own pocket money."

"Well, in that case, Grandpa accepts them," Yang Yuanshan said while shifting his gaze to Luo Ziling, who was standing to the side. He then asked Yang Qingyin, "And you still had the nerve to bring him along?"

"Grandpa, I invited Ziling over to help check on your health again, alright?" Yang Qingyin said as she gestured for Luo Ziling to come over. "Ziling, why aren’t you coming to greet my grandpa?"

Only then did Luo Ziling walk over and, with a smile, greeted Yang Yuanshan, "Sir Yang, happy New Year! Please accept my belated greetings."

He handed the gifts he brought to Yang Yuanshan. "These are some fifteen-year-old Taidiao Wine and local specialties from Yuezhou that I brought for you. Just a little token; I hope Sir Yang won’t mind."

"Yin’er, help Grandpa take these inside," Yang Yuanshan instructed Yang Qingyin before gesturing toward Luo Ziling. "Sit down. This old man has a few questions for you."

"Sir Yang, feel free to ask whatever you’d like!" Luo Ziling said as he sat down in front of Yang Yuanshan as instructed.

A staff member brought some tea, and Luo Ziling thanked them before taking the cup.

"What exactly are you aiming for?" Yang Yuanshan asked bluntly. "Answer honestly. No evasions."

"What do you mean, Sir Yang?"

Instead of replying, Yang Yuanshan simply stared intently at Luo Ziling with sharp eyes.
