Chapter 1403 Reminder
Chapter 1403: Chapter 1403 Reminder
Yang Xiaodong drove the car and followed behind.
After the convoy reached Dragon Rise Base, Luo Ziling asked Yang Xiaodong to follow him inside.
Fenghuang didn’t show any objection, allowing Luo Ziling to bring Yang Xiaodong inside.
Yang Xiaodong was already a "familiar face" at Dragon Rise, his information had long been laid before several leaders of Dragon Rise, thus he encountered no trouble when accompanying Luo Ziling to the base several times.
The weather in Yanjing had changed since last night. Yesterday morning was still bright and sunny, but by the afternoon it started to turn cloudy. Today, the city was as if oppressed by dark clouds wanting to spill. The wind was strong, giving a bone-chilling feeling.
In this weather, hearing about a Dragon Rise team member’s sacrifice, everyone’s mood was quite oppressed.
Lin Lan returned to her residence to rest, and Shanque went to help her.
"Come see the commander with me," Fenghuang whispered to Luo Ziling as Lin Lan followed Shanque, not waiting for Luo Ziling’s reply before walking away.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t know one of your comrades had just died." Luo Ziling quickly followed and apologized, "I was just joking with you, don’t mind it."
Fenghuang ignored Luo Ziling and kept walking forward.
But Luo Ziling knew that Fenghuang accepted his apology, which he could tell from her footsteps.
Initially, Fenghuang walked with a strong aura, seemingly in a show of force, but after hearing his words, her footsteps were not as heavy.
"Are you still planning to complain about me to the commander?" Fenghuang stopped near the small building where Li Haiyang resided and asked Luo Ziling coldly.
"I’ll see how it goes later." Luo Ziling also responded with a cold face, "At least, I helped save Lin Lan. If she wasn’t rushed to me in time, she might not have survived. In any case, you should thank me."
"It was her own decision to seek your treatment!"
"She has a discerning eye!"
Fenghuang no longer paid attention to Luo Ziling and walked straight into the small building where Li Haiyang resided.
As they entered the small building, one of Li Haiyang’s nurses was already waiting there to greet them.
"The commander is waiting for you inside." The nurse said and gestured for them to come in.
Fenghuang nodded slightly, indicating Luo Ziling to also come inside.
"Senior, it’s been a while since I’ve visited you," seeing Li Haiyang practicing walking in the room, Luo Ziling approached cheerfully greeting, "Senior, your recovery is quite impressive, and your walking’s almost indistinguishable from normal, just a bit slower. With some more convalescence, you’ll definitely recover even better."
"I’ve always been gritting my teeth and keeping up with the rehab training, to become like a normal person, it still will take a long time," Li Haiyang stopped walking, gesturing for Fenghuang and Luo Ziling to sit and talk.
Luo Ziling promptly sat down, but Fenghuang still stood aside.
"Thank you for saving Lin Lan’s life again," after sitting down, Li Haiyang first thanked Luo Ziling, "Fortunately, she was taken to your care immediately, or it really would have been troublesome."
"Poisoning by herbal drugs, although resuscitable, can easily be confused with other symptoms, and the effects of the drug last long. At later stages, it becomes very difficult to treat. Also, in regular hospitals, there aren’t many doctors who have researched these drugs, unlike us who used to deal with herbs all the time." After saying this, Luo Ziling sincerely added to Li Haiyang, "If there’s another such incident, make sure to call me. As long as I’m in Yanjing, I will rush over immediately."
"Thanks in advance," Li Haiyang accepted Luo Ziling’s kindness, "If I need your help, I will definitely call you. Actually, there’s another thing I wanted to discuss today, hoping you could help us with."
"What help?"
"Impart some medical knowledge to our team members." After making the request, Li Haiyang explained: "They have learned quite a lot of professional battlefield aid knowledge, and they understand basic medical emergency measures. However, they haven’t mastered the relatively complex treatment techniques. I think that many techniques in traditional medicine might be more practical. After all, when carrying out missions, it’s impossible to carry a lot of medicines, and there are many wild medicinal plants available."
Although Li Haiyang didn’t finish speaking, Luo Ziling understood his meaning and did not refuse, agreeing readily.
Luo Ziling expressed that he was willing to take some time to go over and teach them practical traditional medicine knowledge, and he could even teach the team members acupuncture techniques, as long as they were willing to learn.
At that moment, Phoenix interrupted: "It would be great if we could make a detailed PPT!"
Luo Ziling said with some embarrassment: "I know very little about computers; I never studied these computer technologies properly."
"I can have someone help you!"
"Then we’ll see when the time comes. I’ll organize the pictures and materials, and then let your people help me input them into the computer."
"Great!" Phoenix agreed cheerfully.
Luo Ziling knew that by doing this, Phoenix was giving each person a chance to learn, as using PPT to teach was more convenient than having him present to give lectures.
He couldn’t come to give lectures often, and surely some of Dragon Rise’s members might be out on missions and not able to attend his lectures in person.
If there was a PPT for them to watch on their own, the effect would be much better.
Li Haiyang spoke again about matters related to medicines, hoping Luo Ziling could help more. "Perhaps your help could significantly reduce our losses."
"All right!" When Li Haiyang directly made such a request, Luo Ziling could not refuse and had to agree.
After talking about these matters, Phoenix then left.
"Yanjing is quite lively during the New Year period," Li Haiyang brought up other matters, "your people must be involved, right?"
Luo Ziling did not deny it, but said very seriously: "There are too many people plotting against me; if I don’t strike back, they will only escalate their efforts!"
"Aren’t you afraid that they will target you and your mother even more crazily?"
"Afraid, but there’s no choice." Luo Ziling said with a bitter smile, "My mother and I of course want to live a peaceful life, but they don’t allow it, and we can’t do anything about it. Actually, I really don’t understand why they can’t tolerate us living peacefully. If they don’t provoke us, we won’t provoke them. Do they live too comfortably and want to establish powerful enemies for themselves?"
"It’s just the idea of ’the winner takes it all’; everyone wants to succeed and crush their opponents," Li Haiyang chuckled, "Also, many people care about face, and if their dignity is hurt, whether in the past or now, they won’t be content. So, since you’re going to sever ties with them, you need to be prepared."
"Thank you for the reminder, senior; I will be fully prepared for any possible trouble."
"I heard you obtained a Dragon Rise distress system?"
"Please be assured, senior, I won’t use this thing unless absolutely necessary!"
Li Haiyang showed a satisfied expression, then added: "Is it confirmed that Yuqing is your sister?"
"Yes!" Luo Ziling was a bit embarrassed, "She really is my biological sister."
"Perhaps, after she becomes your sister, there will be a lot of trouble!"
Li Haiyang’s words made Luo Ziling’s heart skip a beat.
