“So that’s how it is,” Luo Yuqing nodded lightly after hearing this and didn’t inquire further about Chen Jiahai, but instead, asked about Chen Xiaoyi.

Luo Ziling gave a wry smile, “News travels fast. Chen Xiaoyi wanted to keep her car accident a secret, but it seems everyone knows now.”

Luo Yuqing laughed, “I heard it from others too. These things spread quickly.”

Pressured by Luo Yuqing, Luo Ziling also shared the details about Chen Xiaoyi’s accident.

He trusted Luo Yuqing quite a bit.

After finishing their workout, Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing went back to bathe and change clothes, then headed to the cafeteria for breakfast one after the other.

After breakfast, they agreed to meet at the school entrance.

Even though it was a school day, they had finished all their classes for the semester, and some lecturers set up final review sessions, but Luo Ziling didn’t want to attend.

Luo Yuqing was a top student and tests were a piece of cake for her. Plus, as the student council president with lots of responsibilities, she skipped classes whenever she felt like it.

Once in the car, Luo Yuqing began discussing another matter with Luo Ziling.

“The winter vacation is just over ten days away, and before that, the student council will organize a New Year’s Eve celebration. I originally wanted you to participate, but on second thought, it’s better not to. Your fame is already soaring; it’s not necessarily a good thing.”

Luo Yuqing paused for a moment, then continued, “Qingyin agreed to perform in the show, and these past few days she’s been attending rehearsals. I’m the overall director of this program, but the specifics are left to other members of the student council. Lu Weiguang– the guy who once wanted to pursue Yang Qingyin– is in charge of these matters. Setting aside the grudge between him and you, he actually has pretty good abilities and is quite serious and responsible at work.”

At this point, Luo Yuqing solemnly reminded, “However, even though he works well, he still hasn’t given up on Qingyin. Give her a heads-up to never go out alone with him. Of course, this might just be me chasing shadows, but in case it happens, it would be a tragedy.”

“Okay, I’ll remember that,” Luo Ziling nodded in agreement.

The image of Lu Weiguang, a person he had almost forgotten, resurfaced in his mind.

If Lu wasn’t giving up and still aiming to bother Yang Qingyin, then Luo Ziling would make sure to give him a good lesson.

Early in the morning, Chen Yining and Jiang Nan had visited Chen Xiaoyi and Chen Jiahai at the hospital before they went on to attend to their own business.

Chen Jiahai was still in the intensive care unit, where family members couldn’t stay with him.

These past few days, Chen Jiahai’s condition had slightly stabilized. According to the doctors, there was no immediate danger to his life, but he still couldn’t be moved out of the ICU.

Chen Xiaoyi was in a regular ward, but she didn’t want to see her own parents. When Chen Yining and Jiang Nan came to visit, she pretended to be asleep. They didn’t stay long and left to take care of their own matters.

When Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing arrived at Chen Xiaoyi’s ward, only Chen Xiaoxiao was there.

“Still you keeping her company?” Seeing Chen Xiaoxiao, Luo Ziling asked in surprise, “Don’t you need to go to school? Always accompanying her, can your body handle it?”

“It’s okay,” Chen Xiaoxiao shook her head, “I’ve taken a leave of absence. I’m not afraid of failing, and my sister wants me here. Plus, it’s quite comfortable to sleep here, so I don’t feel tired. Qianqian will be coming over later, and then I’ll head back for a bit.”

“I’ve come with Ziling to see how you’re doing,” Luo Yuqing smiled openly as she saw Chen Xiaoyi open her eyes to look over, “With Ziling’s help in the treatment, you’re sure to recover soon.”

“Can’t I?” Luo Yuqing asked, tilting her head.

Chen Xiaoyi looked at Luo Ziling, then said to Luo Yuqing, “If you’re not his sister, then no one can match you.”

“So, you all need to keep me happy,” Luo Yuqing was a bit proud.

“No way!”

“Then you might regret it!”

Watching the two women start bickering upon meeting, Luo Ziling was somewhat speechless.
