502: Bad idea.

502: Bad idea.

The captain everything he was doing aside and smiled artificially at minister Wei.

There it was, the bad intention with which he had come.

“And what is it about Tai Alix that brings you here?” Minister Wei leaned back and crossed his left leg over the right one.

He looked at the table with dissatisfaction because the captain had not offered him anything to eat or drink.

Minister Wei was a greedy man, not just for power and praise but also food.

It showed evidently by the size of his pot belly stomach.

His stomach was similar in size to that of a five month pregnant woman.

The captain was no fool either and he was familiar with the minister’s strong appetite.

But to offer the man something to eat was to keep him in his office further and he didn’t want minister Wei in his office any longer than necessary.

“You have lost your manners captain, perhaps you have been living in this city away from normal humans for too long.” Minister Wei complained.

The captain snorted in response.

“Get to it.” Minister Wei uncrossed his feet and leaned forward, giving the captain an intense gaze.”Why wasn’t i informed that our country has a dragon host?

As the minister for foreign affairs specifically for the special people i should be informed about all the new system hosts and what their talents are.” “Why, so that you can use them?” the captain asked sarcastically.

Minister Wei shrugged.

“There is no shame in what i do captain.

All countries use system hosts and their abilities to trade for favors.

We have a dragon, a weapon unique to only our country that it has made us envious.

It is not like all the birds and snakes running around on the corners of every street around the world.” He sneered when he talked about the birds and snakes because they happened to be the two most common beast morphing systems.

He was also exaggerating by saying that they were found around every corner of the world.

However common they were, they were not more than a thousand of them in existence.

The captain was very displeased with what he heard and he clenched his fists.

“I will be sure to share your thoughts on them with them.

I am certain that they will be glad to know how not so special they are.” “Don’t get your panties in a twist captain i do not mean that they are useless i am just saying that they don’t hold a candle to the dragon.

I am also expressing my displeasure at the fact that i was not informed about it and i heard to hear about her from the German minister.” He raised his voice, attempting to use the power of his authority to intimidate the captain which was a useless feat because the captain could not be intimidated by anyone.

The captain made a move of his own, picking up a metal baton that was on the ground next to his table and bending it into half.

This action reminded the minister of who the captain was and he nervously moved his shoulders around.

Additionally, he cleared his throat unnecessarily.

“What do you want with Alix?” the captain asked.

Minister Wei smiled openly.

“The Heinrich family has made a request to their bureau and their minister called me directly.

You know the Heinrich family, formerly noble, vastly wealthy and they have two of the worlds greatest sportsmen that happen to be system hosts.

Josef Heinrich is celebrating his ninetieth birthday and his son Gotz is requesting to borrow our dragon at a very expensive price.” The captain scoffed, first for the use of ‘our dragon’ by minister Wei and two his used of the word ‘borrow.’ “Trade carefully minister Wei because your next words could result in me filing a petition to have you removed from your position.

System hosts are not toys, you cannot borrow them as you wish.” “We do this all the time captain, lending and borrowing of system hosts from one country to another depending on the needs of the moment.

It’s not done because they are toys, it’s done to maintain good politics and for the safety of the world” Minister Wei stood up and he walked towards the table.

He placed his hands down on it and leaned forward to push his point forward.

“All she has to do is play her little violin, turn into a dragon, start a camp fire and blow out some candles.

For this, they are willing to pay her fifty million yuan and….” The captain held up his hand to stop the annoyance in human form to stop talking.

Tai Alix was unpredictable and she had not even been a bureau system host for a month and he was suggesting they send her to the birthday of a prominent family full of politicians in another country to start a fire and blow out candles on a birthday cake in dragon form.

It sounded good in fantasy but in reality, it could be a disaster waiting to happen.

“That is both a stupid and bad idea.” Minister Wei grimaced.

“I will assume that you are not calling me stupid indirectly.

Look, captain, it’s not up for debate, it’s happening.

She is the country’s national violin winner for this year and that win comes with a world tour overseas.

In the coming three months she has to perform in at least six countries, German can just be the first stop.

It’s all being arranged on the other side.

Not only is this good for us but it’s also good for her as she can form a new fan base internationally.

I just came to share it with you so that you can arrange guards for her and send people ahead to prepare for the arrival of our special friends in their country.

Keep an eye on her well because borrowed things must always be returned to their owner after all.

The German bureau will of course try to seduce her to join them.

Not just them but every country she steps in will attempt to make her stay.” “So will the dark side.” the captain reminded the minister.

“Which is why you are sending her off with maximum protection.

Give her Aang, he can return her to our country faster than any plane or submarine on earth.

This needs to happen so make it happen captain, send one one of the watchers with a dossier and pass it on to her as a mission so that she understands the gravity of the situation.” Minister Wei answered dismissively and left the office.

The captain shrugged after a few minutes of thinking.

Sending Alix out and telling her to start a fire was a bad idea.

You didn’t give an arsonist a lighter and gas fluid, the same way you didn’t hand a killer a weapon because you could not predict what they were goingto do with them.

“Alright then, don’t say i didn’t warn you.” he whispered.
