The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system -
Chapter 501 - 501 Those buffaloes
501: Those buffaloes.
501: Those buffaloes.
“Wouldn’t it be easier if the one that’s seeking to make a new world just moved to another planet?
Why create trouble on a world you didn’t build in the first place?
Go somewhere empty and build the world of your dreams.
We even have deserts on earth and places affected with such harsh climate that people are starving.
That person with the weather manipulation system, why can’t he go there and make it rain?
There are so many ways to use systems to do good in the world but those buffaloes are choosing to waste it.
What criteria do systems follow when choosing hosts because some of them are picking the worst of humanity.
” She was so troubled that she kicked off her sandals, changed position and laid her head on Caishen’s lap.
While facing the ceiling, she sighed and thought pictured the world exploding the way she had seen it do in doomsday movies.
Her husband was laughing in the meantime.
It was her reference to the system hosts of the dark side as buffaloes that Caishen found funny.
He vaguely recalled her calling someone a cow and now buffaloes.
Her choice of insults was quite funny.
That aside, he had to update her on the knowledge about system hosts which she was not yet aware of.
“According to the history of system hosts on the bureau app, most systems pick hosts that are weak, have suffered trauma or violence, desire vengeance desperately or have grudges against the universe.
Basically, they do not find fulfilled humans, they seek out those that have gaps in their lives.” He pinched her cheek gently, not desiring to harm her but as a way to punish her without causing her the slightest harm.
“You should really educate yourself on these things Alix.
Have you even read the rules and regulations for guiding system hosts?
There are specific hospitals where we must go when we are injured, schools which our children can attend, special scholarships for young system hosts, companies in which we can be hired easily, no questions asked.” He smacked his lips and laughed softly.
“They updated that list and included the Zhang group.
I guess it’s one of the conditions of wealthy families being in the fold.
No wonder the prosecutor general has been courting my grandfather, there is more to it than just funds.” Alix blinked thrice as she wondered if her mall or the school had been included as well.
Caishen provided the answer before she could ask.
“Your mall and the school have been included as well.” Alix had left all of the information to do with the bureau’s history, rules and regulations to the system.
She planned to take her time reading and understanding them thoroughly.
For now, there was no rush.
It wasn’t as if she was going to be quizzed by the bureau.
She was also not about to sit for her final exams that she needed to study as if her life depended on it.
It still displeased her to know that her school had been included on that list.
Who wanted to hire people with no questions asked?
Isn’t that how one ended up with incompetent employees?
“Aah, those fruit holes, they didn’t even ask for my permission.
Whatever, I don’t want to think anymore, old Zhang.
I think i would rather sleep but my mind won’t shut up.
What should i do?” She sat up and sighed with irritability as if she had been presented with the world’s greatest puzzle and she just couldn’t figure out how to solve it.
They both heard a slurping sound and turned their heads, only to see Baby helping herself to the milk which Wu Gang had left untouched as he slept off.
The cat had most of its head buried in the cup.
Alix laughed at the cat and yawned.
“Your daughter has learned to drink milk out of cups now.” “That makes her your daughter too.” His upper lip moved up slightly with a small smile.
“I can’t believe that i am willing to be called a cat parent.
I never thought that i would willingly own a pet.
Now i have two cats and a dragon.” “I am not a pet.” she slapped his arm lightly.
“You asked for forehead kisses in dragon form, classic pet behavior.
You follow me around when we are at home and you happen to be idle.
You like being in my space every chance you get, just like Baby.
I take two steps and she follows me with loud meows, complaining about this and that.
When i go to the bathroom she stands outside the door, cries and scratches it.
I have taken to bathing with her in the bathroom these days, i just put her in one of the sinks and she curls up in there until i am finished.
A certain female dragon does the same thing when i go to the bathroom.
You join me even every chance you get, rub your face against my chest and demand for scratches.” She puffed her cheeks and pouted.
He was wrong, dead wrong because dragons were not creatures that could be kept as pets and she definitely didn’t ask for scratches.
He was the one that loved scratching behind her ears and rubbing his face against hers often.
Whenever she was withing touching distance, he would hug her, hold her hand, kiss her fingers, basically he would make sure to touch her in someway.
He was also a certified cuddle monster in bed and now that his legs were mobile again, he would use them to trap her all night.
“Come on, sleep here.” He pulled her back down onto his lap and started patting her hair slowly.
“I am willing to sing a lullaby for you or read you a story.” Alix chose the lullaby.
Back in the hidden city, after handling the chaos at the church, the next step was to check through the faces of all the people that were seen running from the church.
A crime had been committed and the true culprits had to be arrested.
The last thing the captain needed at such a stressful time was a visit from the bureau minister of foreign affairs.
Wei Shan.
Nobody was more troublesome than him in the bureau and every time he appeared, he wanted something.
The captain decided to nip whatever it was in the bud before the minister could say anything.
“We are busy, there was an attack made by the dark side.
Nobody has time for whatever crafty ideas you have minister Wei.” Minister Wei made himself comfortable in one of the chairs in the office.
He looked at the large wall behind the captain’s desk which was showing scenes from the church, frame by frame.
Minister Wei curled his lips upwards.
“So much trouble at the wrong time.
It was nipped in time otherwise rumors of a terror attack had started spreading because the explosions happened near a church during a time when it was filled to capacity.” “What do you want?” The captain was not in the mood for chit chat, especially not the unhelpful kind and Wei Shan was not a helpful man.
His bad intentions were already reeking strongly.
Minister Wei put his hands together and smiled stiffly.
“The dragon.”
