The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system
Chapter 499 - 499 Not sweet enough

499: Not sweet enough 499: Not sweet enough “I am composer, of course i am mysterious.

A careless composer is one whose work is stolen and they end up being taken advantage of.

Just come out straight, introduce yourself and tell me what you want or i will leave.” The woman chuckled and it only annoyed Alix.

“Right, sleeping time, i got it.

I am Hua Mei, a watcher from the free people, the ones who refuse to join the bureau of systems or adhere to their rigid laws.

I have been tasked with the duty of contacting you and extending an invitation to you to join us.” She came out of the shadows and moved a little closer to Alix, not too close as she maintained an arms length distance and went on with her speech.

“We are not the dark side as the bureau has labeled us, there is nothing dark about our intentions.

All we want is to live in a world where all system hosts are free to use their abilities without fear of being hunted down like rabid animals.

We want the world to change, to develop it and turn it into a paradise from this wasteland that the humans have turned it into.” Majesty poked his head out of the jacket and meowed.

“Humans!

is she a lunatic?

Is she unaware that she is also human?” Alix pushed the cat’s head back inside the jacket as she didn’t want it to interfere with Hua Mei’s feverish delusional speech.

Yes, Alix thought it was delusional because just like Majesty, she found it ridiculous to hear that a group of system hosts called normal people humans.

What did they refer to themselves as then…super humans, gods, kings?

“I have talked about the hidden city because it’s one of the lies the bureau has used to confuse new system hosts like yourself.

They show you this amazing world, a city for system hosts where they can live with their families.

A place where extraordinary technology is used freely, beast morphers like yourself can walk around comfortably in their skin.

It is a place where everything seems to be possible but ask yourself why these things cannot be possible out on the surface in the real world.

Why can’t you fly around freely in your dragon form without fear?

Why do you have to fly only in the night using the darkness as cover, like a criminal?

Why should a majestic beast like a dragon live in fear when others should be living in fear of you?” “I am not living in fear.” Alix pointed out.

The woman surprised Alix by raising her voice, “Don’t be stupid, its only because you have not exposed yourself to the humans.

Can you imagine the hysteria and fear which will follow if you do such a thing?

The humans will either call for your head or worship you and we deserve to be worshiped because of what we can do for them.” She spread her arms out and smiled with a crazy look in her eyes.

“We are great, the chosen saviors of humanity and we are supposed to bring the new kingdom forth.

We should not be living like sewer rats.” There was a bang from the other side on the door which signified that was up to the watcher Hua Mei.

Her eyes darted around nervously and she picked up a couple of books from the shelf.

“I will be in contact again.” As soon as she turned around, Alix shot a small thin needle out of her hand and it stabbed Hua Mei in the neck.

The woman didn’t feel it however and it embedded itself in her body as she went through a hidden door that led directly into the church.

“Is that it?” Alix asked her system.

“This will be enough for us to track her movements.

She is another one with a weak animal morphing system, a bird like Maggie.

I think your world is a dumping ground for animal morphing systems.

Then again, they are the common and most disliked systems because they are not very useful which is probably why they keep ending up on a poorly developed world like yours where people think they are great.” It shared one of the conclusions which it had reached with her.

Alix had no response to that the moment.

The meeting was over and she wanted to go home.

It had actually taken up close to an hour of her time.

She had come fishing for information and she knew some things now.

One thing she was sure she didn’t want to do was join the other side.

“They are a bunch of ego filled lunatics.” her system shared.

“I agree.” she responded.

The bear professor was right about them, they would destroy the earth if left unchecked and the new kingdom they wanted to establish would not be good for anyone but a few system hosts.

“We deserve to be worshiped!!” Alix mumbled and scoffed, still in disbelief.

So they wanted to be treated like royalty and the rest of the humans servants.

The door was opened from the outside and two armed soldiers with high tech guns run into the room ready to confront whoever was inside.

A third pulled Alix outside and he was very rough in the way he did it as he cared more about saving her life than anything else.

He handed her off to Maggie who looked over her with untold worry.

The members of the dark side could not be underestimated.

A female soldier pushed him aside and scanned her with a small device that produced green light.

“It’s her.” she told Maggie.

“Of course it’s me, who else do you think i could be?” Alix stepped back, away from her.

She saw a lot of chaos outside, flames, people screaming and running out of the church.

It seemed like a lot had happened while she was talking to Hua Mei.

“Miss Alix, are you okay?” Maggie asked worriedly.

She nodded, she was more curious about what had happened outside.

“It almost looks like a war zone out here, what happened?

Is it the explosion?

Has anyone died?” Maggie looked back at the chaos and he turned back to face her with a grim look on his face.

“Five injured but no casualties yet which is a miracle because the dark side doesn’t care if people die as long as they get what they want.

The explosion was a distraction so that they could snatch you away.

For a minute there i was worried that they had taken you away from here but we have watchers above and nothing was seen flying away.

What did they want with you?” “To know if i have been to the hidden city and then to convince me to join their side and we can all live as kings out in the open being worshiped by humans.

I guess it’s the standard crap they feed every system host.” She got a pen from her pocket and shoved it at him.

“Everything we talked about.

I don’t want you guys to think that i am hiding anything.” The system cackled, of course they were hiding things.

“I don’t have plans of joining those lunatics, their offer is not sweet enough.

I am going to share my honest opinion which is that you are all being extremely lax about those guys.

You should have hunted them all down and put them away somewhere far where they would never see the sun again.

“In the ground, lifeless, preferably or inside an incinerator where they can be turned into ashes.

Maybe that’s why you got a dragon, you are a walking incinerator.” her system contributed.
