The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system -
Chapter 496 - 496 A man without shame
496: A man without shame.
496: A man without shame.
The whole time when Alix was glaring at master Rong, Abby Chung was watching her.
He was not alone at the back, the captain was in attendance as well and both of them had not been invited by Alix.
They were not there to enjoy the performances or support Alix but to keep an eye on her in case someone from the dark side made contact with her.
In the hidden city, the analysts were receiving real time images of the guests and confirming their identities.
Even the students, teachers, non teaching staff, drivers and bodyguards had to be checked.
Anybody that was on school grounds had been run through a facial recognition system.
Their bodies had been scanned by equipment at the entrance to the school.
Of course, the guests were unaware of all this.
This was done to confirm that everyone in attendance was human, not a cyborg, clone or anything else from another world.
The captain, Abby and the watchers in attendance had cameras in their eyes and listening devices in their ears to communicate with the analysts in the hidden city.
“Who was she glaring at?” The captain asked.
A response immediately came without delay.
“Rong Guolin, a music professor at Gongzhu academy.
He teachers the piano and his reputation in that circle is very excellent.
He is well known for nurturing champions that have won many awards nationally and internationally.” Abby leaned over and whispered, “I have detected hostility, a great deal of it.
They must have crossed paths before and whatever happened between them was not pleasant.” The captain typed a response to the analysts using his phone.
[I do not need to know all his details, find out when he crossed paths with Tai Alix.] He turned to Abby and asked, “What do you think will be the outcome of this meeting?” “The odds that she is going to attack are high.
Given what we know of her usual modus operandi, it will be a physical or c flames.
I cannot accurately predict where or when she will strike however but i suggest that we make preparations for clean up.
The odds that she will see it through are also high.” The captain’s lips thinned and he groaned.
He wondered if Alix didn’t get a dragon system but a revenge one instead.
Through the performances, until when they came to an end and rewards where given out, the observations didn’t end.
They were more anxious during the time when guests were leaving and Alix, as the school director had to interact with those that had a word to say to her.
Most were eager parents that wanted to meet her for various reasons.
She smiled and answered their questions politely, all until master Rong finally approached her.
He was smiling, like their past was just that, the past.
“Alix…” he started.
She stiffened her face and said curtly, “Teacher Alix or Miss Tai.
You can also call me director Tai Alix.” Master Rong’s smile faltered for a second but it picked up quickly.
“Wow, my old student is still as hot tempered as ever.
Look at you, you have grown up so much, accomplished a lot and even won the national violin competition.
I always knew that you would go far if you stuck with your dreams to play professionally.
Not only do you play piano but also violin and cello.
I am really proud to have been your teacher.” “Teacher!” Alix scoffed.
She clenched her fists and fought with her inner self not to punch him as badly as she wanted to.
There were students around, parents and other distinguished guests.
So, she faked a smile but her aura and tone remained cold.
“I was your student for less than a week, i don’t think i am qualified to call you teacher and you are not qualified to call me your student.
You are Lin Billi’s proud master, not mine.” Master Rong laughed, throwing his head back as if she had just made a joke.
“Ha-ha, Alix, a teacher for a day is a teacher for life.
I just happen to be the piano teacher to two talented sisters like yourself and Billi.
I am glad to see that everything i taught you sisters has been put to good use.
I tell all my students about you now, you have made me so proud Alix.” Alix scoffed and her hands twitched.
The desire to slap master Rong across the cheek and perhaps sew his mouth shut grew within her.
He was a shameless teacher that stole the work of others to elevate his star students and yet he could still show his face in public and claim credit for her achievements.
He moved his hands and grabbed Caishen’s arm.
“This must be your husband, the impressive CEO of Zhang construction.
I am so glad to meet you Mr.
Zhang, i don’t know if you remember me but we met five years ago when your grandfather brought you and brother chairman Zhang for the celebration of Gongzhu’s semi-centennial celebration.” Caishen pulled his arm away from master Rong and scowled.
“I don’t remember you.” he confirmed.
“Alix, the mayor is waiting to say farewell.” He pushed master Rong to the side and removed Alix from the presence of the annoying man that had no shame.
Anybody with eyes and a brain could tell that she didn’t like him.
“Should i take you home?
Just say the word and i will carry you out without a care about all these people.” Even though she was annoyed, she still manged to give him a genuine smile.
“Aren’t you afraid that my grandfather will be displeased and do something crazy again.” He looked around and saw the Tai brothers and their grandfather all staring at master Rong with unveiled interest.
As soon as they found what whatever had happened between her and him, they would be out for blood.
They found the mayor and thanked him for attending before seeing him off.
Caishen was about to make the steal her away suggestion again when Du Fuzi showed up.
“That was awesome,” he gave Alix a thumbs up.
“Thank you for not sticking to old classical music only or i would have been bored out of my mind.” “I am happy to know we didn’t put you to sleep.” she answered with a laugh.
He requested to speak to Caishen in private so she left them alone for a moment and that’s when Ye Zidi showed up to talk to her, surprising her.
The petite woman carried herself with an air of grace.
Her smile was enchanting and intriguing.
It made Alix want to know what was on her mind but first, she needed to know how the woman had made it to her school without a prior invitation.
While her mind composed a proper question, her mouth blurted out something entirely different.
“You were not kidnapped by anyone, right?
Nobody brought you here with a gun to your head or anything like that.”
