The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system -
Chapter 495 - 495 That bastard
495: That bastard.
495: That bastard.
It was the evening of the winter show at the Songbird music school.
The school was so busy and the environment was filled with so much excitement that you could easily think it was a graduation.
Parents, students and teachers littered the school compound, touring the different facilities, visiting the extraordinary gardens or visiting the school cafeteria for something to eat.
Alix was busy too, moving from one class to another to check on the condition of the students, ensure that all musical instruments were working and give a few words of encouragement.
So far, one student had fainted and two had panic attacks.
The pressure to perform was more intense they anticipated.
This was the first public performance for most of them.
She was giving anti anxiety gum to one of the second year violinists when someone dashed into the classroom and yelled out something that stirred some of the students.
“Ye Zidi is here.” Alix turned around so fast that some of the gum fell onto the ground.
She had not invited Ye Zidi and she had not thought about the woman ever since Caishen offered to help her poach the famous pianist.
“Ye Zidi is here, are you sure?” The gum was suddenly snatched out of her hands by none other than Susu the school’s best pianist.
Just like Alix, she was now under pressure.
Ye Zidi was the best female solo pianist in the country and playing for her would be an honor.
An honor that might give any player a heart attack as long as she raised an eyebrow at you that hinted at disapproval.
Alix tapped Susu’s back gently in comfort.
“I am so glad i am not you right now.” “Teacher Alix..” Susu cried out in dismay.
Alix laughed at the girl.
“It’s okay Susu, there is nothing to be afraid of.
I have been personally teaching you how to play for two months.
I gave you my stamp of approval and it is as good as Ye Zidi’s thumbs up.” Susu nodded and took a deep breath.
Then she groaned and put her head down on the desk.
Alix just sighed and left the girl to her worries.
She didn’t have enough gum for all of her students and she had others to check on other than Susu.
On the way to check on the first year students she saw her friend in the long corridor and pulled her.
“Jin Kang, get someone to stay with Susu and make sure she doesn’t faint.” Jin Kang looked at her watch and huffed.
“I have to go and show the mayor and his wife where to sit.
You invited a big shot but you are not fawning over him.” “I am on it.” Jenny popped up from behind Alix and she raced away.
They all run around like busy bees on different missions until when it was time for the show to begin and everyone settled down in the medium sized terraced auditorium that had been finished on time by Zhang construction.
Alix had done all she could to prepare the students so she sat in the audience with her family, specifically the Tai family.
Because it was a big day for her, all of them had come out including the wives of her brothers that were free.
Some people from the Zhang family had come too.
Yura was there with her new boyfriend and grandma Zhang was not too pleased about it.
Zhang Xian didn’t seem to be affected by it much.
In fact he was giving all of his attention to Xiaobo who had made himself comfortable in his arms.
“And you thought the family drama was over with Nana gone.” The blue smurf commented.
Alix snorted and looked around at other guests.
Holea and Jin Kang’s families had come.
Weirdly, to most people, Du Cheng and his wife had come.
Du Fuzi was a friend of Caishen and Alix so his presence was not unusual but Du Cheng crossing paths with grandpa Tai so soon after the mourning stunt in front of the bank raised a few curious eyebrows.
The news reporters that had managed to get some tickets as they anticipated to see some wealthy people there were certainly amused.
Madam Qian and all of the other women that had achieved success with the rabbit’s foot were in attendance and to Alix’s surprise some system hosts had showed up.
“How did all these people get tickets?” she whispered to Caishen.
“They probably bought them from the high school students or their parents.” “Why?” He shrugged.
“Maybe to show their support for you or maybe because they enjoy this kind of activity.
It’s the Christmas break, they have time and for some, this is actually a date.” Sneakily, he put his hand in hers and smiled.
“Like us, we are on a date.” “I am sitting on pins and needles, this is not a date for me.
Who invited Ye Zidi and master Rong.
I hate that guy.” She finished off strongly, expressing just how much she hated master Rong.
Hate was a small term for what she felt towards the man.
He was the one that took her in as a student when she was sixteen years old.
He took in Billi too, despite her lack of talent at the time because Lin Qianfan paid money.
Two days later, she was accused of stealing stealing Billi’s sheet music, humiliated in front of the rest of the students and then kicked out disgracefully.
Master Rong had watched silently and he didn’t even attempt to find out the truth no matter how much she begged.
In fact he was aware of the truth but maintained silence and protected Billi.
When all was said and done, he called her a bad seed that he should not have taken in and told her that she would never make it in life if she didn’t take a hold of her thieving ways.
He was the first person to believe in her after such a long time and he was also the second man to break her heart after Lin Qianfan.
“That rotten bastard.” she mumbled.
Caishen turned his head around and looked at the older man that Alix was shooting lasers at.
What had happened between him and his wife?
The hatred in her eyes was the kind that usually resulted in something being set on fire.
Was this going to be one of these days?
He turned her head around and calmed her down by squeezing her hand continuously.
“You will scare your students who are going to look your way occasionally hoping for approval.
We will deal with that bastard later.” She took a deep breath and kept her eye on the performing students.
The fire raging in her heart had not died down however, and it would not cool until she let it out.
