The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system -
Chapter 476 - 476 One needs only two friends
476: One needs only two friends.
476: One needs only two friends.
Professor He got her notebook and pen.
Alix’s revelation had opened up many open doors that needed closing.
“It looks like we have a lot to discuss today.
I hope you have time, both of you.
We are going to start with your first wedding because it seems not to have been a wonderful experience for both of you.
Yesterday it was the shoes which elicited such a response from you, tomorrow it could be the flowers, the dress, the guests, a song or even a word.
Anything small from your first wedding could be a trigger at this point.
It’s like you are suffering from PTSD at this point and the root of all this is your past negative experiences.
We need to go through your first wedding, step by step and talk about how you both felt at every step.
I would like to remind you both that honesty is the key here.
What we are doing will not work if you lie to me.
Who wants to go first?” Professor He clicked her pen and stared at the couple.
Alix and Caishen looked at each other and then the professor after coming to an agreement silently.
“I will go first.” Caishen volunteered.
What was a proposed two hour session run for three long hours__, emotional hours in which Alix cried every once in a while and Caishen would apologize every time she did.
She in turn would comfort him and remind him that he had nothing to apologize for.
By the time it ended, the two of them felt significantly better.
When professor He was leaving, it was already time for lunch and the two nannies set the table.
All the boys were home, grandma Yura had been keeping them company while waiting for couple’s therapy to end.
Yura came to check on Alix specifically because she still thought that the couple was fighting.
Seeing her red eyes after the professor left made her feel more uneasy and sure about the rumor.
“Are you two really fighting?” “What gave you that idea?” Yura looked at the boys.
“My grandsons told me that you dragged Alix into the room to punish her because she fought again.” Caishen looked at the four boys and all of them looked down at their plates.
Alix ruffled Xiaobo’s hair and laughed.
Yura had obviously fished some information out of all of them.
The woman was a master interrogator and rarely did anything escape her eyes.
“We are not fighting mother and i did not beat up anyone.” Yura looked at her doubtfully.
“Your eyes tell a different story.” Alix pointed to her eyes.
“This, oh this is a result of a very long emotional ride with a trained psychologist.
Haven’t you met professor He before mother-in-law?” “She tried to meet me and i told my assistant to inform her that if she came near me i would make her eat her pen and notebook.” Yura smiled smugly.
Caishen looked at the boys before looking at the two of the women that mattered most in his life, his mother and his wife.
Both apparently had some violent tendencies and were not shy of showing this side of theirs to the boys.
Xiaobo was already fighting, they didn’t need others to do the same.
“Ahem, how is the wedding planning going mother?” he changed the topic.
Yura opened her bag and slapped the table with a medium sized notebook.
“It would be going much faster if you decided on how many guests you both want at your wedding.
I am not talking about the general guests we are inviting due to family obligations but personal guests, your friends.” “Thats easy, Jin Kang and Holea.” Alix’s list was pretty short.
“Only two friends…” Yura inquired.
“The only ones i need.” Alix replied.
“Are you inviting the teachers from school?” “They are not friends, they are employees, but yes.
I guess i should invite them.” Caishen had a short list of friends too and his mother was familiar with all of them.
None of them had made it to his first wedding but all of them were coming for this one.
“You know my friends mother, i don’t need to give you names.
If you need confirmation just ask Biming.” “So, both of you don’t have any new friends?” “No.” they both replied.
Yura didn’t even write down any names in the notebook because she could name the friends off her head.
Together, her son and daughter-in-law did not have more than ten close friends.
She turned to the children instead and asked the same question.
“Do you boys have friends you want to invite?” They were all surprised to be asked as they didn’t think they had any opinions or business with the wedding apart from wearing the suits and shoes picked out for them and then showing up to the venue with smiles and red envelopes.
“Can we?” Yuewei asked.
Yura nodded.
“No more than three friends each however.
Think about it and give me a call later.” Her gaze returned to Alix whom she had another question for.
“Should we eliminate the Du’s from the wedding?
The one that helped herself to your shoes is from the Du family after all.” She pointed at Caishen.
“One of your closest friends is a Du however, so that makes things a little more complicated.
You have known Du Fuzi since childhood.
While i would prefer it we keep away everyone whose presence at the wedding will displease your wife, i also have to make sure that you, the groom are not unhappy however.” Alix waved her hand and gestured that there was no problem.
“It’s okay mother-in-law, my brothers already avenged me.
I have nothing against the Du’s or Du Fuzi as long as that woman and her daughter are not at our wedding.” Yura nodded slowly.
“What did your brothers do?” “They beat up Fuzi.” Caishen quickly provided an answer.
“And i am sure old Tai is not going to sit back either.” Yura laughed softly.
“Ooh, i would hate to be Du Cheng right now.
Who doesn’t know that old Tai is unreasonable?
What is your grandfather planning Alix?” Alix shrugged.
“I don’t know, i spoke to him and he told me to relax and he will take care of everything.” Lunch was a sumptuous one, eaten over casual conversation about the wedding, plans for the christmas break and other random things.
When it was finished, Alix and Yura took the boys shopping before Yura dropped her off at the hospital.
Xiaobo was the only one that went with her.
Yuewei went for baseball practice, Wu Wei went for his German language class and Wu Gang went for his art class.
With the guidance of the hospital director, Alix made a generous donation of one hundred million yuan to the children’s cancer fund that provided free medical care for children with cancer from economically challenged families.
From there, she joined her friends that had already arrived and were already interacting with the children in the play area of the children’s ward.
Jin Kang was reading to some while Holea was distributing milk and healthy snacks from her cafe.
Seeing her two friends filled her heart with warmth, they always came through for each other.
Yup, she didn’t need an army of friends, only a few that mattered.
At this same time, somewhere in the city, an orange cat was being driven back home by third knife and in the hidden city, somewhere in a lab, machines were beeping loudly.
Doctors discovered Lai Yanfang completely still and cold, her entire body was purple and she was finally dead….permanently.
