“Zi Shun.” both Alix and Caishen repeated.
Mantis basically provided answers to all their questions by saying the name of the system host who controlled the weather.
“How did you know?” Mantis asked her.
Alix pointed at her husband with pride in her eyes.
“My hubby is the smartest man in the world, he figured it out.
I was just like the many clueless people in the world that found it abnormal but attributed it to climate change like they they keep reporting on the news.” The professor hailed a silver car which was passing by and invited them all to sit.
The city was very big and it was best to take the rest of the tour on a sightseeing vehicle.
It was one of those thinking cars which Maggie had been telling Caishen about.
Caishen had this feeling because it immediately adjusted to accommodate him and wheelchair.
“Does this mean you will be interested in joining the hunt?” Mantis turned her chair around to face Alix directly.
“What hunt?” Alix asked.
“The hunt for Zi Shun.” Maggie filled in from behind Caishen.
“Every system host works for the government in some capacity and the jobs have classes.
You have researchers like the professor who study us, system hosts to figure out all sorts of things.
You have watchers like me and Mantis, we keep an eye on new or suspected system hosts and report back on them.
We also watch the system hosts from the dark side on order.
There are hunters like..you…i mean system hosts that hunt down other system hosts who commit crimes or work for the dark side.
They also help the ordinary police with tracking down criminals on the run all around the world.
They work as spies, sneaking into other countries or private companies and wealthy families for different missions.
They also sneak into the system bureaus of other countries to attempt and turn their hosts or turn them into double agents.
The bureau is one large organization but every country operates it’s branch independently.
They don’t share information on their system hosts unless unnecessary.” Caishen nodded in understanding.
“So it’s the same way intelligence agencies of different countries operate.
They are aware of each other but act independently except for occasions when they work together to stop a catastrophic event while also trying to screw each other over.” “I believe that nobody could have explained it better than you CEO Zhang.” Maggie praised unabashedly.
Mantis and the professor rolled their eyes.
For investment, Maggie was really kissing Caishens ass enthusiastically.
“What is that, those buildings?” Alix pointed out to a group of high rise buildings designed to form a ‘L’ shape.
They were all interconnected by what looked like glass bridges.
“Schools, from kindergarten to university, we have two of such schools, one here in the city and one above the ocean.” “Oh,” Caishen moved his pointing fingers from left to right as his mind made a connection.
“There is only one school in the country next an ocean with a design similar to this, it’s a private school on Wuzhizhou…” “Island.” Maggie completed the sentence for Caishen eagerly.
He smiled foolishly and said, “We are going to be great friends CEO Zhang, we are already finishing each other’s sentences.” “Kiss his ass any harder Maggie and your tongue will begin to chaff.” Professor J teased.
His words elicited some laughter for a few seconds before everyone’s attention was drawn back to the tour and Alix’s original question which she drew attention to.
“The weather guy and the hunt, tell me more.” She said.
Mantis excitedly responded, “There is a bounty on his head, one whole billion….” “One billion and four hundred thousand as of one hour ago.” Maggie cut in and provided the correct figure.
“Ho!
It has gone up again.
Why?
Mantis shouted?
Her sharp voice caused Alix to tilt her head and wince.
The woman was like Majesty when excitement took over, both had no inner voice.
“Landslide in Japan a few hours ago.
At this rate, it’s hard to decide if he is doing it for fun or simply taunting the hunters.” “No, it’s not that simple.” Caishen shook his head.
“There is always one or two people among those that die that are either powerful, rich or rising in their fields.
There is an assassination pattern hidden in the accidents if you look closely.” “As expected of…..” “Shut up Maggie.” Three people, at the same time jumped in to stop one person who was still going strong on his ass licking mission.
“Anyway, the bounty goes to anyone that can capture him and bring him to any branch of the bureau in any country alive or dead.
That guy has managed to make it to the top of the list of most wanted system hosts.” Mantis went on to share with Alix.
“Are you interested?” The professor asked Alix.
“Fruit yes!” She responded eagerly.
“I told you she would be interested, Suri will be happy to hear this.
She is counting on dragon you to bring the bounty home.” Alix didn’t know who Suri was and she didn’t ask.
She figured it was another system host that she would have the opportunity of meeting later.
For a while, she didn’t ask any questions and just feasted her eyes on the city.
It was a place of marvel where one could meet such wondrous things.
So far, she had figured out that the animal morphing system was the most common one.
There were may such people in the city, children and adults.
If she had to guess the second most common, it would be the engineering system.
The car passed over a hump and they passed by a shopping mall!
Something she didn’t expect to see.
Restaurants, pharmacies, boutiques and even sports fields for different sports all existed down here.
It was like the people who lived here existed in a world of their own.
She even managed to get a glimpse of a beach.
The more she saw, the more she wondered about the systems others had.
“Do you know know anyone with a unique system here?” “Wukong, he is twenty two year old brat that got a system at the age of seventeen.
It’s a wealth generation system which he loves to brag about.
He owns Sixcent international group of companies, they dabble in everything but he made most of his money through that app, Dudu talk.” “I have that on my phone.” Alix said.
“Almost everyone in the world does.” Mantis grumbled out like she was unhappy about this fact.
“Don’t mingle with him, he is an arrogant bastard that will try to use you as he does with all other system hosts.
He treats us as if we are his errand boys and girls here to serve him.
He has a free pass to act as he wishes because he funds the biggest budget of the bureau in all of Asia.
Other continents don’t want his money because it comes with strings attached.” Alix had been excited initially to hear about this system host with an awesome money making system but the more she heard, the less impressed she was.
With as much money as he had, was he really clean?
“Could he be the leader of the dark side or maybe the one funding them?”
