The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system -
Chapter 452 - 452 Give her everything
452: Give her everything.
452: Give her everything.
In Caishen’s office, negotiations for Alix’s contract were on going behind closed doors.
A whole team of attorneys had been invited, six of them and all had been brought to face off against one man, Zhang Caishen.
The prosecutor general had arrived with the attorneys.
He was teleported directly into the office by Aang whose abilities Caishen was already aware of thanks to Alix.
Everyone flipped to a new page while drowning themselves slowly on cups of milk and tea which Caishen had provided.
“Let’s talk about limits, specifically what should and what shouldn’t be brought into our world.” “You can’t determine that since you have no access to the world she has access to.” Caishen reminded them.
The prosecutor general had a computer tablet and he opened a video which he showed to Caishen.
“This is a blood orchid your wife brought over from the other world.
She sold it to professor Lai without a second thought.
He in turn used a plant growth acceleration agent which he got from a system host working for the dark side.
We are assuming he got it through Lai Yanfang and he used it to nurture the orchid.” “I have heard about the blood orchid from my wife.
She planned to retrieve the blood orchid but it wasn’t there when she made it to the lab.” “That’s because we retrieved it.” Aang informed him.
The prosecutor general took the tablet back and then showed Caishen another video, one of professor Lai feeding a human to the orchid.
“The good professor is not as nice and sweet as he acts in public.
For the sake of research, he is willing to do anything and i mean anything.
We were keeping an eye on him because of his ties to Lai Yanfang when we saw this.
Immediately, we made arrangements to take possession of the orchid and wipe all of the professor’s memories, not just him but his assistants as well.
We also had to go as far as setting the lab on fire to hide our true motives.” He made a shrugging gesture with his hands and added, “I think it’s understandable for the bureau to enforce this rule under these circumstances.
Alix cannot bring over plants, animals and other living creatures as she pleases.
If she wants to, she should allow the scientists of the bureau to take a look at those things first.” “The blood orchid incident is a one off.” Caishen suggested.
“Today it’s a blood orchid and tomorrow it could be a talking tree or a fellow dragon.
She wouldn’t be the first system host to carelessly bring over a creature that we have to hunt down and trust me, we have many of those all over the world.” Caishen put a check mark on that part in the contract.
“Fine,” He put that contract aside and then pulled out one that he had prepared.
He had made more than enough copies to go around.
“We have heard your terms so now you must hear ours.
My client…i mean wife told me that you agreed to stay out of our personal lives.” “Except for when necessary.” The prosecutor general.
“If it concerns the interests of the bureau, we will not be able to hold back from intervening.” Caishen folded his arms and said seriously but with a smile on his face.
“Those interests need to be stated clearly but i am sure you don’t even realize what they are right now.
For the next thirty years, she cannot be touched for infringing on interests that are undefined.” The prosecutor general scoffed.
“We need privacy too because as you know my wife is a dragon so she needs a lot of space to train and relax.
Perhaps, if the bureau has a mountain to spare…” He had hardly finished when the prosecutor general laughed deeply and shook his head.
“Tch!, you are being outrageous now just because you can.
The country does not have a mountain to spare.” Caishen tapped his pen against the contract and disagreed.
“The Zhang family is giving the bureau two hundred billion.
I am sure that you can find one to spare, even if we have to share it with people in circumstances similar to ours.” “You might as well just hand over a list and tell us to give her everything she wants.” Aang joked.
Caishen tilted his head with a thoughtful look on his face.
“Mmmm.” he said, from deep in his throat without uttering a single word.
Then, he smiled and said, “Let’s do that.
My wife is has a fiery temper and when things don’t go her way, she burns up something.
It will be easier for all of us if i go back with a yes for everything.
Happy wife, happy life.” The prosecutor general glared at Aang for making the suggestion.
“Happy system host, happy bureau.” Caishen added.
“And a happy fire department.” Aang made another joke.
Once again, the prosecutor general glared at Aang but the good looking man simply shrugged.
The prosecutor general however now had another issue to raise which he had forgotten.
Thanks to Caishen, he could now raise it and include it in the limits.
“We should also discuss her misuse of her dragon fire.
She simply cannot go around wantonly setting things on fire just because she is displeased.
Do you know how challenging it is to put out dragon fire?
The two fires she set were classified as arsons since there origin could not be pinpointed.” “That’s her form of self defense.
A cat has claws so when it’s attacked, it scratches or maybe a dog with its sharp teeth which are meant for biting.
When attacked, it bites automatically.
This is no different from that situation, my wife in her dragon form can only defend herself with fire.” Caishen argued.
The lawyers for the bureau noted all the arguments down like good students in a class.
“She also bites.” Aang pointed out.
“Rumor has it that she ate Lai Yanfang.” Caishen’s face twisted, forming a look of disgust.
“First of all gross, my wife did not eat anybody.
She would quicker bite their heads off or burn them than eat them.
What the fruit is wrong with you people?
You are talking about cannibalism and that’s just so gross.” Nobody commented on the ‘fruit’ but the lawyers did express a lot of confusion.
“We couldn’t find Lai Yanfang’s body, not even a trace of her remains or ashes indicative of her burning.” Aang explained defensively.
Caishen lifted his blazing eyes to Aang as he defended his wife.
“Because my wife brought her to me for questioning.
No wonder the dark side has thrived for so long, you people have small imaginations.” “So you have her.” The prosecutor general leaned forward curiously.
Since it was already out there, Caishen figured he could roll with it.
But he would not be giving them Lai Yanfang without getting something else in return for his wife.
“You could say that.
But if you want her and any of the information i extracted from her, you need to pay up somehow.” He grinned slyly for he had no intention of sharing the health status of Lai Yanfang immediately.
Alive or dead, the bureau would want her and that was all that mattered.
