The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system -
Chapter 438 - 438 A friendly introduction
438: A friendly introduction.
438: A friendly introduction.
At the new branch of Holea’s cafe, the four friends met up for their weekly lunch as usual.
In fact, the weekly lunch was now a common occurrence ever since the new branch was opened.
It’s proximity to the school made it possible for them all to meet up at least once daily for breakfast or lunch.
Holea had even moved her office to Alix’s mall and a manager had been hired to manage the first branch.
They four women had all finished eating but they were still hanging out, talking about their lives.
Holea had just finished regaling them with a story about her daughter’s latest exploits and they were laughing.
Out of the blue Jin Kang suddenly raised a question.
“Mmm, Alix, how is your therapy working out by the way?” Normally, Alix would avoid telling anyone about her therapy but she was in a great mood so she opened up.
“It’s good, really fantastic.
I have even found ways to handle my anger now.
I just beat up dummies and it dissipates.
If any of you is struggling with anything i recommend the professor.” “That’s a good way to manage your anger.” Zhang An said.
Holea looked at Alix’s face and she agreed with Zhang An’s opinion.
Alix was buzzing with happiness lately and she had not broken any jaws.
Professor He was really helping her.
“Those poor dummies.” Jin Kang sighed.
“What happened to your cousin is it…the one you beat up at the party.” Zhang An took the question before Alix could answer.
“My second brother had her thrown out into one of those big trash bins.” She laughed softly at the memory.
With that curiosity satisfied Jin Kang moved on from Alix to Zhang An.
“Hey, rich girl, is Bei Bei still bothering you?
You haven’t mentioned her in a while.
I have been hoping for her to come and bother you when all of us around so that i can see that Zhang family package at work because one of you will surely beat her up.” Zhang An laughed a little.
“I don’t beat up people anymore, no matter how annoying i find them.
If i was going to beat someone up, i would start with Nana, my father’s mistress.
We had a father daughter date planned and she insisted on coming along because she was afraid that i would bring my mother and try the parent trap.
You should have seen her when he refused to bring her along.
She cried and rolled around the floor like a child throwing a tantrum.” As she recounted the incident, she got a hold of her phone and showed her friends an actual recorded video of that moment.
Jin kang was in stitches, Holea was disgusted while Alix was flabbergasted at the sight of a grown woman rolling around on the floor while throwing her hands and legs in the air.
“My god, that woman is nuts.” she told Zhang An.
Zhang An closed her fold phone and put it on the table.
“I feel so bad for my dad because he was saddled with such baggage all because he made a promise to a dying man and he doesn’t want to break it.
No matter how much money my grandparents offer her, she won’t leave.” Jin Kang raised her hands in the air in a frustrated gesture.
“But she is not his wife.” “Put her in a hospital for the mentally disturbed.
If she wants to act crazy then treat her like a crazy person.” Alix suggested hesitantly.
She had promised Caishen to stay out of the Nana business so even making this suggestion felt like a betrayal.
Zhang An was very interested in the suggestion and she smiled.
“That could actually work.” “And Bei Bei…?” Jin Kang asked eagerly.
Holea stood up and pushed her chair back.
It scraped against the floor, making a dull sound.
“Lunch is over, you guys should go back to school.” She knew that Jin Kang would not let the Bei Bei matter go for as long as they continued sitting around with nothing to do.
“The kids are doing exams so school is quiet and tense.
There is nothing much for me to do right now.” Jin Kang answered.
“Get ahead on next years admissions, carry out performance evaluations for the teachers and gently advise the company which sent us the chefs for the cafeteria to send new ones or we will terminate our contract with them because the quality of food has been subpar lately.” Alix told her.
She stood up as well and picked up her bag which had been sitting next to her on the comfortable single seater sofa.
The comfortable chairs were her best part of this branch of the cafe aside from the sweet desserts of course.
Holea hated them however and she complained that customers who used them sat for far longer than they should, doing nothing in the cafe and taking up space.
“See you guys tomorrow.” she waved at her friends, bidding them farewell.
She walked in silence, slowly, taking time to look around her mall.
It was a busy place, filled with people who were shopping for various things.
The TFK shops which took up half of an entire floor had many customers because they were having a discount.
Tai Fong had been assigned as the manager to this branch and she saw him often.
When he wasn’t at work, she knew he was off working on his cars or racing them.
Lately, he was learning car engineering and preparing to open his own repair shop for high end cars, but it was a secret from their grandfather.
She was about to get out when someone stepped in front of her, forcing her to raise her head.
“Aang!” she exclaimed in surprise.
Even though he had a black mask covering his nose and mouth, she recognized him easily.
She smiled happily before turning to look back at the floor above where the cafe was.
If Jin Kang saw who was down here, she would come running.
She turned back to him with a smile on her face still.
She wondered if he was here to shop or he had made an appearance as one of the models for TFK.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“I am looking for you.” he replied.
“Really?” He nodded.
“I want to introduce you to someone, a friend of mine that wants to discuss a business opportunity with you.” He pointed in the direction of a book shop which belonged to her mother.
There was more than one person in the direction he was pointing.
The one he was pointing to in particular was a man with yellow hair.
The system had accessed as much information on Lai Yanfang and her movements as it could.
Yellow hair had appeared in more than a few pictures and videos.
He did not associate himself with Yanfang so they were not acquaintances or friends.
She and the system had both come to the conclusion that he was part of the group watching her.
“They have made a move.” She thought to herself.
“Say less and listen more.” The system cautioned.
