The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system
Chapter 422 - 422 Theft or plagiarism

422: Theft or plagiarism?

422: Theft or plagiarism?

Grandpa Tai was deliberately loud.

He was also proud and not at all ashamed even when he found himself on the receiving end of some harsh glares.

He returned the harsh glares with a bold look that was filled with provocativeness.

If anybody dared to contradict him, he was willing to match them toe to toe in an argument where he would explain all the reasons why his only granddaughter was going to be the winner.

Grandma Zhang in the meantime saw madam Joy and her son who waved at her.

She smiled back at him softly.

“Excuse me for a minute, I see a familiar face and I should say hello.” She walked away while auntie Mo was shaking Alix awake carefully and whispering her name.

She didn’t want to startle her by waking her up so rudely.

Just as Alix was starting to blink and open her eyes, a sound came from the television which was mounted high up on the wall.

Auntie Mo’s hand dropped and she turned around quickly.

Her face became pale and she gasped, even her right hand moved up in shock and she covered the loud gasp which was made by her mouth.

She was not the only one whose face had suddenly gone pale because even grandpa Tai was the same way.

He also had a deep scowl on his face as he watched the young man that had been called out first playing his violin.

Auntie Mo looked at Alix who was now wide awake.

She too was watching the young man with a sneer on her face.

“That’s your song.” Auntie Mo whispered.

“Oh my God!” She exclaimed.

They had watched Alix practice it more than once at the school and at the Tai family house.

She had told them that it was inspired by an ugly creature that longed for beautiful things.

The song was supposed to show the beauty inside of everything and it was an original composition.

“What are we going to do?” Auntie Mo squeaked out.

Her worried voice came out in a high pitch, attracting the attention of some of the close competitors.

Yang Wangshu, was there as well and he came up to them.

“Teacher, teacher….” he called loudly.

“Teacher, isn’t that your music?

I remember you played the opening when you were teaching us how to trick the musical orchid.

Who is this…..” He did not know the name of the player so he just pointed at the television continously.

Thanks to his loud voice, everyone in the room became aware of the situation and they started to whisper about it.

Alix was one of the competitors that had stuck to original composition right from the beginning of the competition.

She was also one of the strongest competitors.

If someone was playing her music, then what was she going to play?

In this competition, everyone wanted to stand out by showing their strengths so no violinist wanted to play something similar to another only to end being compared by the judges.

This is why they all handed in their sheet music earlier to avoid clashing.

How had two violinists ended up with the same music then?

“This is a case of plagiarism, teacher, we must go to the judges right now and stop this immediately.” Yang Wangshu was all fired up and eager to help his teacher.

“All of your classes are recorded by the students at school.

Teacher, if we show the judges that part of your lesson at school they will side with us.” Unbothered, Alix looked at her student who was jumping around like an overly excited monkey.

“Wangshu, have you finished playing?

Is the competition over?” Wangshu was confused but he shook his head.

In a calm voice, Alix said to him, “You are here to represent yourself and Songbird music college.

A violinist must have steady hands and a steady mind.

Right now, you are getting worked up and you could make a mistake on that stage.

Let me warn you right now, if you embarrass yourself on that stage, don’t you dare tell anyone that I am your master.” “But….” he croaked out.

Alix hissed at him and she widened her eyes, a move she did often when she was threatening him during his lessons.

Wangshu nodded and he took a deep calming breath.

He wanted to ask why she was not losing her mind when this was obviously going to affect her but he was afraid to.

“Return to your seat.” She commanded him.

He looked unwilling and he was like a soldier, ready to follow her into battle if she asked him to do so.

But, she was a teacher he called master and he always followed her instructions.

Dragging his feet, he returned to where he had been sitting.

Alix turned her gaze to the young genius Rui.

He had come running after hearing what Wangshu had yelled out.

He had not said a word and simply watched as she sent the young man away.

“You should return to your seat as well young genius, there is nothing you can do to help me in this situation.

Thank you for looking concerned and rushing over, but you should keep your mind focused.

I am not dropping out of the competition just because of this small hiccup.

I intend to win.” The young man nodded once, turned around and walked back to his former position where his mother was waiting with a heavy look of disapproval in her blue eyes.

She was among some of the people in the room that were excited about Alix’s misfortune.

They hoped that she would drop out entirely or she would make a mistake after suffering this sudden misfortune.

One strong competitor going down meant the chances for one of them to win had gone higher.

“What do we do father?” Auntie Mo turned to grandpa Tai with worried eyes.

Even though Alix was composed, the problem had not been solved.

“I am going to find a way to have the entire competition cancelled.

If they think that they can play tricks on my Tai Sun’s only granddaughter then they have never seen how powerful I am.” Grandpa Tai was already on his phone, texting his sons and grandsons in the family group chat.

All of the Tais were now aware of what had happened.

Obviously, if the Tai’s knew, then the Zhangs also knew.

Grandma Zhang had stepped put of the room to relay the bad news in person.

Alix grabbed onto his jacket and shook her head.

“Grandpa, you don’t need to do anything.

Since when did I lack original compositions?

I have hundreds of them laying around my office and in mind so I can play something else.

Besides, even if he plays it, can he play it as good as me?

I can count twenty mistakes already that he has made and he is not even halfway done.” She had seen the young man play before and he was talented.

He could have easily come in third of fourth if he had not changed his music.

“How pitiful, he stood a chance before someone convinced him to partake in such foolishness.” She yawned, leaned her head against the wall and closed her eyes.

“Mommy, wake me up when it’s my turn.”
