The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system
Chapter 380 - 380 Escape from the third world

380: Escape from the third world.

380: Escape from the third world.

Back at her house, Alix had continued her slow pace while engaging in a lazy game of hide and seek with other players.

The explosions she had set off had obviously caught the attention of other players.

It was made worse when the bad general’s army also swarmed the water, deciding to defend the bottom of the tall high rise wand water fiercely.

The battle became fierce as the explosions multiplied from all parties.

It was an all out war between every party involved, no friends, foes or alliances were welcomed.

Suddenly, everyone was just shooting blindly at everything that moved.

The game was so realistic because instead of bodies disappearing immediately after death, they floated on top of the water.

Some were intact and others torn apart.

Limbs that had been ripped were everywhere, and blood also dyed the water red, especially in the places where the battle was most intense.

To make the situation even more complicated, dangerous animals that dwelled in the water or the dry parts of the island started to invade the water and engage in the battle.

Alix even saw sharks, bigger and different from those she had seen on tv on earth.

They were gobbling up any player or NPC that was visible in the water.

So now, on top of getting to the bad general, they had to fight off the water predators.

Not that Alix cared about all this as she swam stealthily in the water, getting close to the underwater dwelling of the biggest target of them all.

She swam past the floating body of Dark death.

There was a large hole in the stomach and one hand had been blown off.

Alix could only imagine the incredible pain the other was in wherever she was, in her real world.

“You did this.” the system told her.

“I didn’t kill her.” she responded rightly.

“You started the all out battle on the water.” It responded lightly.

It approved of her actions highly, and had encouraged her to take them.

Still, it was surprised to see that she remained cold when she saw the body of a former teammate.

“Did you see her approach me even once to play as a duo on this world?” she responded.

The system elf shook it’s head.

None of Alix’s former guild members from the second world had tried to ally.

On this world, most players had taken solo missions because they wanted to rank at the top.

“Exactly.

In this world, we are all nothing other than competitors.

She could have cared less about my fate so why should i care about hers?

It’s every man for himself here.” She had barely said the last words when she something dashed out of the last visible bottom part of the high rise that was under water.

It moved at the speed of a rocket, going so fast that it could not be tracked with ordinary eyes.

Alix made out the shape and on her virtual screen, the blue elf did the same.

“It’s a ship.” the elf said.

Three other underwater ships came from around the side of the building and they went after the first ship.

She didn’t have time to waste figuring out who was escaping and who was pursuing because something started to rumble.

The creatures in the water turned and started escaping at maximum speed.

Alarm bells went off in Alix’s mind, warning her that there was danger close by.

Even the bracelet on her arm heated up.

“Shit!, the building is collapsing.

Someone blew it up from the inside.” The system yelled.

Alix turned around and started swimming in the opposite direction.

“Ship, ship.” she said urgently.

A ship appeared in the water, from her game equipment collection.

Still, she had to swim to it, put her palm on the hatch and then get inside before darting away like the other ships she had seen.

With all of her strength, she swam through the wreckage while shielding herself from the debris of large heavy materials that were falling out of the sky.

When she reached the ship safely, she touched the hatch and waited for her handprint to be recognized.

Instinct pushed her to look up and that’s when she saw the reflection of a big red sky.

It wasn’t a red sky, but a fire.

Balls of fire were falling into the water now.

While most were being extinguished immediately, the blow back was intense.

Alix had to hold on to the latch with all of her strength to avoid being swept away with everything else.

“You need to get inside now.” The system roared.

The space ship glowed blue and it was powered up.

“Captain Alix, access granted.” Just as she was throwing herself inside, someone pulled her back by the leg and stopped her from escaping.

It was another player, in a blue outfit.

She had a partial helmet on her head and the other half of her uncovered face had been burned off.

She was struggling to breathe with a wound in her abdomen from where she had been shot.

Still, she wanted to escape as well, and Alix’s ship was the nearest.

So, out of desperation, deliberately, she held onto one of Alix’s legs and pulled her back.

This caused the hatch to lock again automatically, to avoid taking on water.

“Loose the creep.” The system elf yelled at her.

Between the fire raining from above, the water which was filled with predators and the spill of energy fluids which was breathing life into the fire above the water, the situation was becoming dangerous.

In addition to those dangers, players who didn’t have a means to escape would not be above killing others in order to get away.

Rather than give up on the final prize, they would want to keep going until an announcement from the game declaring a winner forced them to stop.

Alix kicked furiously, trying to dislodge the steel like grip of the other player on her right leg.

But the other party looked up at her with malicious intentions.

In addition to one hand, she stabbed Alix in the thigh with a green energy blade using her free hand.

The blade contained poison which numbed her leg immediately, making it impossible for her to swim.

“You have been poisoned.” The system told her.

She could also tell because her health bar in the game had started dropping rather quickly.

Alix screamed in pain as the poison burned her leg and travelled rapidly through her body.

As if that wasn’t enough, the other party took out an explosive device and armed it.

“Fruiting bitch!!” Alix exclaimed.

This was a situation where no one would be making it out alive apparently.

This player knew that she was going to die and she had decided to take Alix along with her.

She got a gun from her weapons, pointed down and shot about ten times without stopping, killing the other player.

The explosive device fell down and it sunk along with the player.

Out of nowhere even Alix’s ship exploded as something fell on top of it.

Alix herself was not out of danger meanwhile.

The poison was travelling through her body and she was also sinking because she couldn’t swim anymore.

She was neither ready to die from the burning heat of the poison or drown.

Both of them were terrible ways to go, in her opinion.

Quickly, she got an antidote from the game and poured an entire bottle into her mouth.

And, then quickly, she got a smaller boat from her equipment.

All she needed to do was escape from this cursed water now.

“Ding!

time is up, thank you all players for participating.

You have thirty seconds to evacuate from the third world.”  “Fruit!” Alix cursed.
