The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system
Chapter 375 - 375 National ears

375: National ears.

375: National ears.

Caishen and Alix sat down and she set the food out for him and soda which she was well aware he wouldn’t touch.

He wasn’t a soda drinker, not even a sip could make it past his lips.

As she expected, he went to the small fridge in his office and returned with a bottle of water.

“Thank you for the food.” he said.

She nodded and split the chopsticks than handed them to him.

As she did, she frowned because something crossed her mind.

“Do you also think i overreacted when i beat up that man?”  Caishen was chewing and he maintained perfect etiquette by not talking with a mouth full of food.

Rather than respond verbally, he shook his head, telling her that he didn’t think so.

As soon as he swallowed, he responded.

“Why?

You were simply defending us because he threatened to make us pay for not surrendering to his threats.

In my pinion, that is self defense.”  “I can hear the conversation between Biming and your attorney Jacob.

It’s a phone call and the lawyer is saying that i overreacted and i should trim my temper because i am turning out to be worse than Zhang An.”  Caishen hand was in the midst of bringing food to his mouth and it paused.

“You heard all that from here?”  He was puzzled sincerely, because she had to have the hearing of a bat in order to listen to conversations happening in the opposite office.

The wall between his office and Biming’s office was thick.

One could not even make out mumbles coming from there but she could hear an entire conversation somehow!!

It was amazing.

She nodded.

“I can hear your secretaries too.”  She raised her head and got this intense look in her eyes as she gave off the appearance of a person that was concentrating deeply.

“One of them has said that they would rather run into the lunatic young miss than the strong young madam.

The other one has just replied that it’s true because with the young miss, all you will get is a slap or verbal tongue lashing but with me, one is guaranteed hospitalization.”  She rolled her eyes and added, “Maybe even death.”  Caishen chuckled softly.

He was bound to agree with the secretaries.

All the people Alix had hit so far that he was aware of had ended up in the hospital.

“That is an exaggeration, slander in fact.

When did i hit somebody to the point of death?” Alix mumbled.

“With your strength, it’s not impossible.” he answered.

He recalled the gym equipment and the gym bags that she had destroyed.

“But, how is your hearing so good?” he asked.

She shrugged and feigned cluelessness.

Caishen chose not to push.

Whatever her secret was, it was hers.

Instead, he smiled lazily as he thought about all the new ways in which her sharp hearing could be used against her in a good way.

He had all these new ideas in his mind, all to do with teasing her.

“We should be calling you national ears at this rate, or maybe bat ears.

Should i change your name from sister hulk to sister bat?”  “Crazy.” she muttered slowly and rolled her eyes.

He chose his words more carefully and said softly, “Bat girl.”  She laughed at him.

“I am sure she already exists.”  “That’s a fictional one, you are the real deal.” His eyes held some fascination as he watched her.

She had super strength and super hearing, qualities in most super heroes that were totted around in movies.

As a man that loved science fiction movies, she was more interesting than anything and anyone he had ever met.

“Can you be serious for a second, tell me if what i have done will cause you any problems business wise.

Is Rui Ka Kui an important man?”  “To others, not to me.”  He opened the water, poured half into a glass and took a sip.

Then he placed the glass down and continued to eat.

The food was good, better than he expected.

She waited patiently for him to swallow and then asked, “Will your grandfather reprimand me?” “You saved the second elder so as far as grandfather is concerned, you are golden.

You have a life time pass to misbehave in anyway as you please and he will back you up.” His eyes moved down and he muttered, “Unlike some people.” “Mmm” she moved her head, curious.

Who were the some people he was referring to?

“Nana went shopping.” he said.

Alix nodded and widened her eyes, encouraging him to build on his statement.

“She stole my fathers card and went online shopping, buying herself all sorts of luxury items which were delivered to the house.

The bill came up to fifty three million.” Alix gasped.

“Oh my God!

What did she buy?” she blurted out.

“Shoes, bags, coats, jewels.” he mentioned with a look of irritation on his face.

The problem was that Nana didn’t need to do all this.

She had used the credit card without permission and grandma Zhang had already bought her clothes, shoes and jewels that matched someone of their status.

According to what Caishen had been told, Nana wanted things like clothes, bags and shoes that the most famous female celebrities in the country were seen in.

“Did she buy an entire boutique?” Alix asked in dismay.

Even she had money but she wouldn’t spend fifty three million on one shopping spree especially on such frivolous things.

Just because you bought a dress that a celebrity was wearing did not mean you would look as good as that celebrity.

Moreover, fifty million to Alix was capital, money that could be invested in a business.

If the business was successful, it would feed you for many years to come.

Some businesses thrived and they were even passed down from one generation to the next.

Celebrity fashion on the other hand was something that was changed every few months.

What was hot today would not be hot tomorrow.

All the clothes and shoes Nana had wasted money on would not be worth much in two or three months.

Within a year, they would be considered old fashioned.

It was not her money but Alix felt pained, extremely.

“What a stupid woman?

What are the elders going to do about it?

Don’t tell me that they will let it be just to please your father.” Caishen shrugged.

“I am staying out of all things Nana and my father and grandparents.

They invited her inside so they should deal with her without involving the rest of us.

I will only step in if she tries to touch my mom or the company.” Alix raised her eyebrows and bit her bottom lip to avoid blurting out her opinion which was that it seemed as if Caishen was not intervening because he was angry at his grandparents and punishing them.

They conveniently kept quiet and allowed Nana to come in, pushing Yura out.

So now, they had to endure the plague Nana as a punishment for their blindness.

“Let’s forget her.

Tell me what we are going to do for the rest of our day.”  “It was your decision to play hooky, you should come up with a plan.”  “A nap.” he suggested.

“Nap!” she exclaimed.

“Honey, we are not that old.”  She thought that it would be a great idea to go out and have fun.

But when she looked outside and saw the snow and also thought of the cold weather, she thought that a nap was not such a bad idea after all.
