The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system
Chapter 373 - 373 A fool indeed

373: A fool indeed.

373: A fool indeed.

He moved the chess piece back and shot Rui Ka Kui a more stern look.

His eyes took on a darker and sharper look, one that threatened to rip Rui Ka Kui apart if he didn’t leave immediately.

“Don’t touch my things.” Caishen said softly.

The tone was soft but deadly, and anybody that knew Caishen knew enough to back off when he used it.

Rui Ka Kui leaned away from Caishen’s sharp eyes and he said gruffly.

“I will be direct with you i guess.

I thought you would understand why i have visited you by now but you are pretending and playing the fool or i am the fool to assume you now my motives.”  “I have never willingly called myself a fool a day in my life.

If that is your depiction of yourself, then i will gladly call you as you please.” Caishen told him.

Rui Ka Kui clenched his jaw, and Caishen noticed the movement, and knew that he was angry but he couldn’t have cared less.

The man was here with a bad motive, this much he could sense.

Caishen received a message on his phone and he picked up his phone.

Rui Ka Kui’s presence would not stop him from attending to business.

The message was from Biming, informing him of the only tie they had to Rui Ka Kui.

His son and Alix were participating in the same violin competition and they had both advanced to the finals.

Other than that, the Zhang group as a whole and all family members were not involved with the Rui corporation or family.

Caishen put his phone down and then placed his hands on the table.

“Should i call security to evacuate you?”  Rui Ka Kui laughed.

“Surely you know that going to such extremes will only put our companies in the eye of the public negatively.

All i want is to do business.”  “I don’t want your business.” Caishen answered confidently.

Arrogantly, Rui Ka Kui questioned, “Why not?”  “Does the Zhang group look like it’s starving?” Caishen quizzed him.

“Zhang construction is not Zhang group.

The previous year was not so rosy for you due to unfortunate circumstances.

You have bagged quite a few hefty jobs this year but all it’s doing is filling in the gaps of what was left empty last year.” Caishen snorted.

It seemed like there were so many people out there that were under the assumption that Zhang construction was bleeding but they couldn’t be more wrong.

Between the Tai family’s business, Ko-Qian project, the apartments they were constructing, business with Alix’s school expansion which she was paying for and the new project they had received through the prosecutor general, business was booming.

They had covered all the gaps of the previous year, beat their goals for this year and even had enough orders to fulfill for a significant portion of the following year.

Not that he intended to share these facts with his competitors or Rui Ka Kui.

“We don’t need your help.” Caishen insisted.

“Zhang construction is not a charity that picks up all the scraps which are tossed our way.” “Not even if it’s business worth two trillion?” Rui Ka Kui asked.

Caishen tilted his head slowly and his lips curved to the right side.

His eyes depicted some interest but he remained non verbal.

His reaction was to be expected of course, because he was a businessman after all.

Rui Ka Kui took this to be the answer he needed to bravely say what he wanted next.

He moved his hands around, his shoulders tightly moving upwards as he gestured in a sort of dismissive manner, “Your wife is a great violinist.”  His mouth curved downwards after he said it, almost as if he didn’t think she was actually great.

“Thank you for appreciating her talent.” Caishen responded dryly, insincerely.

Rui Ka Kui looked at Caishen with his own version of a frigid look and he said boldly, “My son is better.” Caishen scoffed.

“So you came all this way to my office to dance around as if you are standing on a knife just to declare this to me.

You were right to call yourself a fool i guess.”  He had already foreseen where this conversation was heading.

It was not hard to put two and two together to figure out what Rui Ka Kui wanted.

When a man on a street in a dark van offered you candy, he also offered something unpleasant, a thing that you never wanted or asked for.

Rui Ka Kui’s trillions were the candy and the favor he was about ask for or demand he was going to make in turn was the something unpleasant.

“Take your candy and get the hell out of my office.” he demanded softly.

Rui Ka Kui smiled cunningly.

“So you understand.”  “Like i am said, i have never been a fool a day in my life.”  Rui Ka Kui leaned forward and said confidently, “Tell her to drop out.” Caishen laughed softly and even his shoulders shook a little because he was deeply amused.

“I thought your son was the greater violinist so why does he need his competitors to drop out in order to prove his greatness?

Director Rui, did you come all this way to show me your cowardice?

You are not doing your son any favors with this action.

Now every time i see him playing, i will always wonder if daddy had to help him cheat his way to that place.” Angrily, Rui Ka Kui responded, “My son is no cheater.”  He even bit his tongue as he said it, drawing a little blood that he swallowed down without a thought.

“Isn’t that contradictory?

You came here to offer me what i assume is a slice of a large pie for some project worth two trillion and all i have to do in return is ask my wife to drop out of a competition she has trained very hard for so that your son can win.

If that isn’t cheating, then what is?”  “I call it business.” Rui Ka Kui told him.

“You have a company to think of.

Your wife is the oldest player in the competition, the one without an impressive background or record.

My son has won many awards internationally, your wife has none.

For her to be entering the game in her thirties is honestly ridiculous.

Other female violinists at her age are settling down after seeking glory in their twenties.

Her time has passed, she should pay more attention to the home front.” The more that he talked, the more angry Caishen felt.

Rui Ka Kui reminded him of Lin Qianfan.

They seemed to share similar opinions about women, their place, their bodies and what was good for them.

It would not surprise him to find out that he had passed by Lin Qianfan’s office first before coming to see him.

Picking a page, from Alix’s playbook of throwing things when she was extremely angry, he picked up the bishop on the chess board and threw it angrily at Rui Ka Kui.

It whizzed past the shocked man and hit the wall.

“Shut your foul mouth before i shut it for you because you are a fool indeed.” He whispered.

“Is it your son that is terrified to face my wife or is it you that is seeking to use your son’s national debut as a platform to elevate yourself in your family’s company?”
