The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system
Chapter 352 - 352 Saving the first elder

352: Saving the first elder.

352: Saving the first elder.

In the corner of the room next to the window was a medical cart.

Zhang Changpu took off running and he brought the syringe to her.

He didn’t know if she was really saving his father but he hoped she wasn’t faking this.

If the first elder trusted her, he was willing to give it a shot.

He grabbed all the syringes in the cart and brought them over.

They all watched Alix pick the biggest syringe and fill it with whatever was in the vial and then she pointed the sharp needle at the heart of the second elder.

Alix tried to remain calm as she held the syringe over the first elder’s heart.

She hesitated for a few seconds, unsure if what she was doing was right.

“Remind me why i am doing this again?” She asked the system.

The four men in the room did not know that the ingredients in the vial and syringe were also poison.

If they did, Zhang Changpu would probably have drop kicked her off his father’s chest already.

“You are fighting poison with poison.” It answered.

“Have confidence in me if you don’t have it in yourself.”  She took a deep calculated breath and pushed the syringe directly into his heart.

“Blood samples, right now.” The system yelled.

She swung herself off the body and stepped down.

“Has it worked?” Zhang Guoha asked her.

“Uncle, you must be patient.” Caishen answered.

All four men drew closer to the second elder with a desire to see any changes.

“Shouldn’t we attach those medical things to him?” Bo asked loudly.

“This is madness.

The doctors declared him dead hours ago.” Zhang Changpu mumbled.

Alix picked up three other syringes and she stretched the arm of the second elder.

She was like a professional nurse as she crudely tied a rubber glove next to his inner wrist in search of a visible vein.

She bit the cap off the syringe with her teeth and spat it on the bed.

Then, she pushed the syringe into his arm and took his blood.

She moved to his heart and did the same thing, but there was very little blood there so with the guidance of the system, she took more from his arm.

“Why are you taking his blood?” Bo asked curiously.

“Analysis.” she answered.

The doors opened and a team of doctors came in.

They had been called by Guoha to examine Zhang Sensen just in case Alix was telling the truth.

She walked past the doctors and exited the room with Caishen on her heels,  “Wait.” he said.

She did stop, and it wasn’t just because her husband had told her to do so.

It was also because the moment she stepped out, she came face to face with the people whose lives she had made a little uncomfortable for a few seconds.

The second elder’s wife immediately started walking her way.

“You are out, good.

I am going to rip your hair out….” Alix bent her head slightly and she said straight up, “I apologize.

If you go inside right now however, you will be able to find out why i did what i did.”  She faced everyone else directly and said, “I apologize for the way things were handled everyone.

It was an emergency.”  “I apologize too.” Caishen said.

At the end of the day, they were all family.

He knew that they would understand why they had done what they did but the image of Alix hastily ripping that sheet off the second elder had probably traumatized a few.

Alix didn’t stick around to wait for an apology and she continued walking towards an elevator while pulling a phone out of her bag.

Mo Sen was standing there with her cat.

Majesty leaped out of his arms and landed on her shoulders.

“Are we going to have fun?” the cat asked.

She was aware of what fun he was talking about.

He wanted to go and cause chaos.

The cat meowed again, loudly and disgruntled.

“Are we taking your husband?”  She remembered that Caishen was on a mission to follow her so she stopped and turned around.

Indeed, he was following as expected.

“Where are you going?” he asked her.

“To see someone that might be able to help.” she replied.

A voice came from the cell phone in her hand and she remembered that she had dialed a number just before making an apology.

“Hubby, let me answer this first.”  She put the phone to her ear and spoke softly, “Hello professor Lai.

I am the woman that sold you those special orchids a while back, Li___, Alix.” Some things were like reflexes, hard to get rid of as they came to one naturally.

It was just like her Lin name.

Sometimes it slipped out before she could think.

Enthusiastically, a response came from the other end.

“I remember you of course.

I was hoping that you would contact me someday.

Do you want to sell something else because i will take whatever you have.”  “No, professor, while i do have have something to sell i am calling because i need your help.

Are you at your lab right now?”  She looked at the watch on her hand and figured that if he was at the lab, she could reach him in an hour or less, add or take away a few minutes.

“Yes, i am in the lab.

Do you need something from me?”  “I need you to help me analyze some blood.

Not just the usual analysis, this is something rare.

I am asking because you handle a lot of rare specimens.”  “Sure, oh yes.

I will be happy to help but make sure that you come with that something which you have to sell.

I hope it’s something different from what you gave me last time.” She hung up and looked at Caishen again.

“Hubby, i have to run a quick errand.”  “I will come with you.” he told her.

“No.” She disagreed strongly.

In a more soft voice after seeing the disappointed look on his face, she said, “You need to stay here with your family and help out.

Your uncle was poisoned with a rare toxin.

Whoever did this either wanted you all to burn or bury your own family member while they were alive which is just cruel and cold or maybe i am over thinking and it was just the available choice of poison they had.”  In her opinion, the poisoner had to know everything about the poison including how long it took until the final moment of death.

It was almost impossible for that person not to know that the dead man was not that truly dead.

The Zhang family always cremated their dead family members.

If she had not stepped in when she did, the second elder would have been burned alive.

“You need to amp up the security around him and discuss with your grandfather the next move.

You also need to know how and when he was poisoned.

Most importantly, who poisoned him?” Caishen frowned heavily the more that she talked.

Everything that she was saying made sense.

But in light of all her revelations, he didn’t think that she should be up and about on her own either.

It was too dangerous.

For someone to have got passed the second elders security measures and poisoned him, they had to be an expert.

If not, maybe it was an inside job.
