I take a deep breath and in a flash, I am back in the community. Jabi and his wolf are gone. I am all alone again but it doesn’t feel like it. Somehow, seeing him again is all I needed to gain the strength to go on.

I was so scared that he was hurting and alone and even though he is, seeing him just shows me how strong he is. I know what I need to do and I know that Alanis wants me to trust Blue but I am not so sure that they will be able to find him. I have to wait for two days before they even do anything. I walk back to the community and to Blue’s house. I know Alanis and Beau have it handled but I just need to hear what he has to say. I need to know the progress he has on the whole situation.

I can’t do anything else but that.

I will hate myself if anything happens but I have to at least try to do something right. I knock on Blue’s door and I wait for him to open. When he does,

He is wearing a faded blue t-shirt and a pair of old blue jeans. His hair is messy and he looks like he just woke up. Yeah, he looks like he has been sleeping, this is the person that is supposed to help me. I understand that it is late and he needs to sleep but I at least expect him to be finding a solution to this. If the roles were reversed and one of his mates were missing, he would not be sleeping.

"Hey,’’ he rubs his eyes with his hands

, his voice is hoarse.

"Hey," I say to him because I don’t want to get upset. This is not his fault, he is not the person who should be blamed for this.

"You can come in," he opens the door all the way and I walk in, the door squeaks with every footstep.

"I know why you are here and I don’t think I have the answers you need right now,’’ he tells me immediately. Almost like a disclaimer. I am just here to tell him that I will be going back to Amber for help.

I know what we need to use.

Somehow, Jabi is still connected to me, even though Lenny tried to block our connection, his wolf is still very much connected to me. So she can use me as the link.

I would be his possession that she could use to find him. Blue stares at me, he looks like he is thinking and I don’t blame him.

"Alanis said you were gathering some things for a potion, how will that help me?’’ I am not sure that I want to know what he is thinking because I have already made up my mind. I have to work fast and Amber is the fastest route to take right now. "Well first things first, are you ok?’’ he walks towards me and he looks a bit nervous.

"I am ok," I tell him and he nods.

"We are in this together, no matter what happens, we are a team now," he chuckles a bit nervously at that last part. I nod and look at him.

"I saw Jabi’s wolf today,’’ I tell him.

He furrows his brows "Like in a dream?’’

I shake my head "In the flesh, he came to me. Lenny took him to an island, he is all alone and I need to find him. I know you are doing your best to make a locating spell but how long is it really going to take you?’’

"I don’t know, another couple of days, then I need to wait for the potion to settle and take effect.’’

I sigh running my hands through my hair "I don’t have a couple of days, I need to find him now."

He nods in understanding "Do you have another option?"

"I have someone else, she can help me,’’ I pause and take a deep breath nervously "I think so. Fuck, I have never felt this helpless in all my life.’’

I am really breaking down in front of a lot of people these days and maybe this is the vulnerability that I have warded off for so long.

I think this feeling of helplessness is what has driven me to do things that I do. I want to feel the need to control something because right now, I feel out of control.

"You have to do what you need to do to find him. I will keep working on my end but if you can get to him faster, then try Amber, don’t wait for me."

He is basically telling me that I can do this my way.

I came here to get assurance from him but it doesn’t seem like he is going to give me the assurance that I need.

I sigh and shake my head "I guess I have to," I say it almost like a mantra. I look at him.

Blue seems to have understood the hopelessness I am feeling and I can see the sadness in his eyes. I don’t know if it is sadness for me or sadness for Jabi. Either way, I have the answer that I need.

I need to go back to Amber.

I stand up and he walks out of the house with me. He doesn’t talk for a few minutes. I feel the awkwardness growing with every passing second.

"Thanks for this,’’ I tell him because just accommodating my vulnerability is enough.

"Anytime."

I walk out of the door and get to my car. This is the second night in a row that I will go over to Amber’s house but I know that she would never send me away.

No matter the situation.

This is just something I need to do.

She is the only one that can help me.

She is the only one that can find him.
