My hands are shaking as I lie down on the cold ground. I want to go back to the community; I don’t want to be here anymore. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through.

I knew it was going to be a challenge but I could have surged through this if I had Blue and Gyles with me. Being alone is the only thing that is making this hard. I want to hold them; I want to know that they are with me. I am resting on my back; the moon is the only view I have.

I have lost track of the days. I don’t know how long it has been.

It feels like forever. I am tired of this; I want it to be over. The only thing I can do is hope and pray for better.

I hear a screech. I don’t know if it is the wind or a bird. I don’t know if anything is real.

She is speaking to me. She is speaking like I am her child and my heart responds to her every word. Just a few words and I feel special, I feel loved by this woman that I don’t even know.

"I am not strong,’’ I tell her because I don’t know what she sees in me.

I feel a tear roll down my cheek.

She puts the vial to my lips and I drink it. It doesn’t take long before I feel a familiar warmth spreading through my body. I close my eyes and I feel my heart beating again. I feel my body and I am alive.

I open my eyes and I see Blue and Gyles.

I am crying so hard. I can’t believe they are here. I can’t believe they are alive. They are in front of me, they are real, they are alive. I touch my hand to Blue’s face and I feel his warm skin. I touch my hand to Gyles’s face and I feel his warm skin. I am so happy. I am so filled with joy I can’t help but kiss them. I kiss Blue and he kisses me back. I kiss Gyles and he kisses me back.

My heart is so full.

"We are here,’’ they tell me.

They are here. They are really here. They are alive and they are with me.

I look around for Selene but she is gone. we are alone in the cave, but we are together.

we are together and we are happy.
