"So, you are doing this tomorrow?’’ Alanis asks me and I can already picture the smile on his face.

"Yes, I am nervous and excited at the same time."

He chuckles "I felt the same way during my own time. I didn’t have a clue what I was going to do but at the same time, I was excited. It was the best night of my life.’’ he breathes out dreamily.

I raise a brow "I would think your wedding night would be the best night of your life.’’

He laughs "You do know that the mating ritual is just sex right. Imagine being sex-deprived and getting the opportunity to devour each other. I had already had sex with Beau so much that the wedding night was just like any other night.’’

"I have had sex with Blue before,’’ I remind him of the time I was stupid.

"Oh, yeah, did Alby mention anything about that?"

I sigh because the thought of what we will need to do to make things right is scary "Yeah he did. That is why we are starting tomorrow. So as punishment, we are all going to have to be in three separate caves before the full moon without food or water. basically, for four days. I don’t know how I will be able to handle it.’’

He laughs "That doesn’t sound so bad,’’ he mutters.

I shake my head because it sounds like the worst "I hate the thought of being separated from them."

"Don’t worry, I am sure they aren’t too thrilled either. but there is no other way. You need to understand the consequences of your actions. it is going to make you stronger in the long run," he tells me and I nod my head.

"I know, I just don’t like the idea of not being with them.’’

"I know, but it is going to be fine. You will see once you have completed everything, you will feel a lot better about yourself. You will feel stronger, a lot more confident. It is going to be the best feeling ever," he says and I nod my head. I don’t know if it will make me feel better but I know that we are doing this together so it can’t be all that bad.

"Yes, all of us are going to be in the same cave, just in separate parts. So, when we perform the ritual, we will have all of us there."

"That will be nice. I can’t wait to see the look on your face when you complete the ritual. I am sure it is going to be beautiful,’’ he tells me and I chuckle.

"I hope so, I hope I am worthy of doing this."

"You are, but you need to do this for yourself as well. Not for Blue and Rex. You need to do this for you," he tells me and I nod my head.

"I know, I just don’t want to fail and disappoint everyone."

"You won’t. You are going to do great. Just remember, you have two of the most amazing men in the universe by your side supporting you. You are going to be fine," he says and I nod my head.

"So how is everything with you and Beau? I haven’t even asked how the honeymoon is going.’’

"I don’t want to come back to the community, that is how good it is going,’’ He tells me cheekily.

"This place is not the same without you guys, get your butts back home.’’

He laughs "Well the mention of ghosts and evils books is making it even harder to want to come back." He is teasing me. He doesn’t seem too worried about everything that is going on with me.

"Dude, it is not a joke,’’ I tell him seriously. When I remember Eleonor and what happened to her, I shudder.

"Dude you are practically a ghost, you know you are dead,’’ he reminds me.

"That doesn’t make me feel any better about this whole situation. I am seriously freaked out right now."

"Don’t be, everything is going to be fine. We’ve got your back. So, if you need us, we are here to help.’’

I trust Alanis. He has been a good friend, someone that I can rely on in this place. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t bond with him here.

I probably would have run away a long time ago.

"Thanks."

The door to the room opens and Rex walks in, I smile at him as he walks over to the bed "I got to go,’’ I tell Alanis.

"Good luck tomorrow,’’ he tells me as I hang up.

"Hi,’’ I mutter as Rex sits down on the bed with a smile on his face.

"Hi,’’ he says and leans in to kiss me. His lips are soft against mine as he kisses me. I am surprised when he pulls away before I am ready for it to end. He must be able to read the look on my face because he chuckles.

"What’s so funny?" I ask him.

"You’re hungry,’’ he tells me and I roll my eyes.

"That is not funny," I mutter and he chuckles "It’s true."

"Yes, it is true but that doesn’t mean it’s funny."

"I know that but it is funny to see how you react when you get hungry. It is really cute," he tells me.

I huff and look away from him "You’re so annoying," I mutter and he laughs.

"I know, but you love me anyway."

"Yeah, I do,’’ I mutter and he chuckles.

"How hungry are you?" he asks me and I blink at him.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, are you like starving right now or just mildly hungry,’’ he asks me.

We are not talking about food. He knows what tomorrow is and he is teasing me. I am hungry for him, hungry for Blue.

craving what I cannot have until Alby gives us the okay.

"I am a little hungry,’’ I say and he chuckles.

"Why are you laughing?"

"I have a present for you,’’ he says and I roll my eyes because I don’t want a present. I want him.

want to be able to show him how much I love him. want to spend the day with him, show him how good I can make him feel.

"I know," he tells me and I watch him as he reaches into his pocket. He pulls out a long rope and I watch him as he hands it over to me. I stretch out the rope and it is attached to a blue jade stone. it is a necklace. I look closely and there is something written on the stone "Your name,’’ I manage my heart racing.

he nods "and the stone is blue. So, you have us next to your heart at all times,’’ he tells me, collecting the necklace from me and putting it around my neck. "It’s beautiful," I mutter and he nods.

"I know you don’t want a present but I wanted to give it to you. It’s nothing really, I just wanted to give you something," he tells me and I smile at him.

"It’s not nothing, it’s a very special present. I love it. Thank you," I tell him.

I love this man so much.
