Chapter 398: Honeymoon

His arms wrap around me and I keep my eyes closed because this feels like a dream--one that I don’t even want to wake up from.

"I am hungry,’’ his voice travels through my ears and I shoot my eyes open immediately. His smiling face is peering up at me innocently "I knew that would wake you up,’’ he giggles and goes under the covers.

I reach for the covers and pull it off him, he laughs heartily and I know he is just messing around "Are you actually hungry because I don’t want my babies all starved up?’’ I ask him because feeding him and taking care of Lanis are my topmost priorities.

everything else is second best.

"Yes,’’ he bats his lashes at me, acting fucking cute.

I sit up on the bed and reach for my boxers at the edge of the bed "What are you craving?’’ I ask him.

He remains on the bed as I stand up and walk over to his side, kneeling down in front of him "I thought we could go downstairs for breakfast. get out of the room, maybe afterward we can have a stroll outside, I heard there is a very grand park outside,’’ he suggests.

I smile because I want to do whatever he wants to do. "How are you feeling asides from hunger. how are my babies?’’ I reach for him and rest my hand on his stomach. he smiles in my arms.

"There’s this bloating feeling--maybe it just feels weird cause I can feel them inside me."

"You can?" my eyes light up at his confession.

he smiles, placing his hand on top of mine "Well not like kicking and stuff, but I just sense them. I don’t know if that makes sense,’’ he informs me.

I smile even more. "I like that,’’ I say and he laughs.

a moment of silence passes between us and I am the one who breaks it "I’m taking you to the roof for breakfast," I say and rise to my feet.

he stands up and pulls me close to him, my head resting on his broad chest "You’re my everything,’’ he whispers in my ear and I feel my heart melting. I grab him by his waist and lift him up as he wraps his legs around my waist. He looks into my eyes and I feel all the love radiate off him. I smile as I place my hand on the back of his neck and pull him down to kiss me.

we kiss passionately and I feel like I just can’t get enough of him. the kiss is broken off when I feel his stomach grumble. We laugh and I place him on the floor. he grabs my hand and we walk out of the room. I glance at the bed and the mess we made on it.

"This is a good opportunity to get them to come clean up,’’ he tells me with a chuckle. we have been here for two days and everything has been perfect. I don’t even want to go back to the community anytime soon because I don’t want to deal with all the drama that awaits me.

There was a meeting on Fallon, the week before the wedding. there hasn’t been any conclusion on him and what we plan on doing with him.

I don’t know if it is a good idea to keep him as a prisoner. I mean, he is a dangerous man and he hates me. I don’t just believe that he has completely given up on the fight he was so adamant of.

"What are you thinking about?’’ he asks me and I snap out of my thoughts. I look at him and smile.

"I’m thinking about how I’m the luckiest man on earth,’’ I tell him and he smiles.

he leads us to the elevator and when we get off it, a couple of people enter after us. I lead him to the entrance of the rooftop restaurant and he walks into the buffet at the display.

his eyes open wide and I smile because his reaction is everything, I have accomplished by bringing him here "There is so much food,’’ he squeals as a waiter walks up to me.

"Good morning, sir. how are you today?’’ the waiter asks me. I smile and nod at him "Fine, thank you. I would like a table for two please.’’ I tell him.

"Of course, sir,’’ he says and leads us to a table near the glass wall overlooking the city view.

I sit down and Lanis sits opposite me. "I want to eat everything in sight,’’ he tells me with a wide grin on his face. I smile at him and reach for his hand under the table. He grabs it and smiles back at me "I want to make the most of this day,’’ he says.

I smile at him. "Me too,’’ I agree and we stare into each other’s eyes. he smiles as he leans forward and kisses me, but before he does, I feel another presence.

I break off the kiss and turn my head to see who it is.

"Beau Foxly?’’ a woman that I didn’t expect to see walks up to us with a smile on her face. I stand up, pulling Lanis up with me. my muscles tense as I stare at her. she is tall with a slim figure and long black hair. She is dressed in black pants and a shirt. her hair is up in a bun.

"It is you,’’ she exclaims excitedly running into my arms, I stay limb against her hug because this is not a good time for this at all.

I am here with my husband on my honeymoon.

Why the fuck does she have to show up now?

"Umm can you please let go?’’ I ask her.

She lets go of me and I see the confusion in her eyes.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry,’’ she says "I didn’t mean to--"

"It’s fine," I turn to Lanis, who is watching the scene with a mischievous smile "Lanis this is,’’ I try to introduce her but he cuts me off "I know who she is, we all go to the same school,’’ he waves his hand in the air.

Lanis keeps the smile on his face as he slowly turns towards her "We are in the same chem class, or should I say were. I haven’t been to school in a while,’’ he laughs nervously.

I watch him and suddenly there is nothing to worry about.
