Chapter 258: Trouble making

I feel weird.

So weird and Gyles can tell because he has been looking at me funny. I don’t know what happened when I left the room. It is almost like the hour that he said I was away, left my memory. I don’t remember anything until I walked into the room.

The fact that I don’t remember anything is scary but at the same time, I don’t want to worry Gyles. He is already nervous enough as is. we are so close to the estate. From the address that Beau gave him, it is less than fifteen minutes away.

"What if he turns us back?’’ Gyles breathes out nervously.

I glance at him, keeping my eyes back on the road "He won’t do that, he will probably take us home himself though,’’ I tell him because I don’t think Blue will just welcome us with open arms.

I don’t know his relationship with the people in his home but it must not be so good for him to be with his father. He might not even want anyone to know about us. We might just be his werewolf life and not his warlock life.

"That’s even worse,’’ he contemplates. His face is red and he has been shaking his leg for the past thirty minutes. I know why he is not calm but I wish I could make him relax a bit. "He told me to stay out of trouble...does this constitute as troublemaking?’’ he asks me.

I nod immediately with a smile. I am not as worried about this because somehow, I can already tell that he will be happy to see us. He might scold us and whine a bit but after some time, he will realize that we are actually here with him.

He groans loudly and I laugh at how cute he is being right now. the fact that he is this nervous just tells me how important blue accepting him is. I can’t wait for all the problems to all evacuate and the happiness to take over. I don’t want issues between any of us and it seems like that time will come pretty soon. Once blue realizes that Gyles is sincere. He will forget about all the things that he has done and we will find a solution to it all. The sky is already getting dark. We literally spent the whole day driving and I am exhausted.

I don’t want it to show because I want to do this for Gyles.

Whatever I can give them—I will do it without a doubt.

I see the estate and I know it is the one from all the pictures I saw online. I googled this place because I wanted a mental image of what I was walking into. The security into the estate is supposedly tight. I hope it will not be a problem to get in because I don’t want us to have to call blue to get us in.

The Waterfall Estate. Written in bold, capital letters on the gate. It looks majestic. This is where Blue grew up. This is the home he has always known. The life he has always lived and come to the community seems like a downgrade to me. I don’t know his story and I feel like that is something I need to find out. I need to know him. it has been on my mind for a while now. he just seems pretty closed off, like that part of his life is not important. Maybe he doesn’t like to remember those times but I want him to disclose in me.

I want to get closer to him.

"Shit, this is it,’’ Gyles mutters.

I nod as I stop the car in front of the gates. One of the guards walks over to my side of the car and hits the window softly.

"Hello,’’ I manage as I wind down the window.

The man is big, the kind of person that could protect someone. He seems more like a bodyguard to me than a security guard but what do I know. I don’t know what kind of protection this place needs. I don’t know anything about this place.

"Who are you here to see?’’ he asks me with the coldest voice I have ever heard. His voice is deep and detached.

I cough nervously, unsure of what to say "We are here for the party,’’ Gyles leans closer to me and tells him. his eyes are gold and bright. It seems like he is controlling the man. I don’t know what he is doing but it seems to be working.

The man’s eyes glow for a second before he nods and backs away from the car "Enjoy the party,’’ he says as he waves at his partner who presses a button. The gates open immediately and I turn to Gyles with a raised brow "What did you do?’’

He smiles "I did what I had to do,’’ he tells me with a shrug. I know that Gyles has abilities and seeing them in person is cool.

"What party?’’

"I read his mind. There is a party going on in the estate. That was the only way to get into his head and so I used it."

We drive around and I look at all the houses. This place seems expensive to live in which makes me think that Blue is wealthy. "How do we find his house?’’ I ask.

He looks at the paper that Beau gave him "it says number 66B. I guess we just have to look for his house number." He suggests.

We keep driving, following the house numbers, and the second we get to his number. I know instantly. The house is the biggest one we have seen so far and this is where the party is. there are cars parked outside the house—or should I say mansion. My eyes open wide at the sight in front of me. the parking lot is large. There is a fountain in front of the house, the water flowing out of the women in circles. All the lights in the house are on and brightly lit. this place is grander than I even expected.

"Holy shit, how are we going to find him?’’ Gyles mutters.

I remain quiet because I don’t even know what to say. I don’t know anything anymore and apparently; I never knew Blue. I park the car and we both get down from it at the same time.

"I am getting so nervous, my hands are sweaty,’’ Gyles tells me, reaching for me and I feel the wetness of his hands.

This is important to him because he wants Blue to forgive him. I am just here for him. we walk into the front door and the guard in front of it opens it for us with a suspicious expression on his face. This place is packed. So packed that I don’t even think we can just find him easily.

We walk into the house and people are chattering in different circles. My eyes look around in search of him "Maybe we should just call him, find out where he is,’’ Gyles suggests, his eyes are roaming just as mine are.

"Who are you?’’ we both stop in our tracks as the person in front of us glares. He is way taller than the two of us. Over six feet. I am the tiniest in this mix. Gyles is almost at his height. Maybe a couple of inches.

"Come with me,’’ the person grabs me before we can find an escape. He looks at us like we are some criminals.

"Wait, we are here to see Blue,’’ I manage because I don’t want to get us in trouble.

He scoffs.

"Get your hands off me,’’ Gyles pushes him off him and the force he uses has the man flying to far away from us and hitting a wall badly. I don’t know if that was his intention but the expression on his face tells me it wasn’t.

the man he sent flying groans loudly and then passes out, probably from hitting his head so hard. I look around and everyone has their eyes on us but the only eyes I can focus on are the shocked ones of Blue.

He looks angry.
