The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband -
Chapter 54: Enemy of the Enemy
Chapter 54: Enemy of the Enemy
Abrielle curiously stared in the direction of the voice and soon saw a young man dressed rather flashy with auburn hair and blue eyes based on his features she quickly recognized him as the son of the king’s second wife.
Former Princess Karissa’s son, Prince Alfonso von Drakkar. One of Cedric’s many siblings he didn’t like. Alfonso’s mother, despite not being the queen, was the one who saw him as the biggest threat.
The truth about the story was that among all Cedric’s brothers, he was one least interested in the throne due to the fierce competition but had no choice but to fight because the chances of being killed were high.
Most royalties after assuming the throne preferred getting rid of every possible trait. Cedric didn’t reply to Alfonso but he had a cheerful personality and could care less.
"I am glad you are here now. I am certain the royal family will be taking the grand price one way or the other." He chimed walking closer to them.
Alfonso was pretty tall with a handsome build but possessed a sunny vibe around him despite being one of the most scheming Characters in the book.
"It’s better you don’t get your hopes too high. The unexpected might happen." Cedric replied, which was surprising. Abrielle was expecting he would be more confident.
The sparkling glow in Alfonso’s eyes dimmed."We hope this hunt is free of such unexpected incidents." His words held a deeper meaning everyone understood.
"I am always ready for the unexpected." Cedric bluntly said. It is not weird to have adversity towards the son of the person who wants your death.
"That’s my great brother. By the way, are you not going to introduce me to your wife?" He chimed with a bright smile, Abrielle normally would not have any problems with Cedric’s family since they all want the same goal which is his death since aside from the crown prince he was the second strongest contender for the throne.
But yet she did not like Alfonso, this should be crazy because she was no different from them. She glanced at Cedric with a smile. "Darling let’s get going. I can’t stand for long." She chimed completely ignoring Alfonso.
At times an enemy of your enemy isn’t your friend. She was Cedric’s wife and without a doubt, the same hatred they had for him was the same for her. The queen tried to assassinate her even before meeting her.
They left the dumbfounded prince outside and headed inside the well-furnished tent. Abrielle was deep in thought, her fate was fucked up not only that she had to find a way to get rid of Cedric, but she had also to look out for the royal family’s tricks.
Every move had to be well planned, this wasn’t like writing a book where she had to imagine everything in her head but this was a real real-life scenario where a miscalculation could cost her life.
Cedric glanced at Abrielle whose eyes were unfocused as she was lost in thoughts thinking about how she could handle the situation. ..
She yelped when she suddenly felt an arm wrapped around her waist and then pulled her in. "Huh," she gasped, still processing what was going on here.
She was under his gaze which left her spellbound, she should have made him ugly at least things would have been easier then.
"You have guts to say do that to Alfonso. Not that it matters." Cedric chimed with a smile, he liked the fact she knew her enemies and she had a lot of them since she was married to him because no one would consider that she was against him.
"I was truly exhausted listening to his chatter, that’s all." She replied to him. As soon as she was done talking her lips were sealed leaving her stunned. Why was he kissing her? She didn’t understand but like hell he was her poison.
Why was he such a good kisser? She was being drawn into the kiss. She almost melted under him until her brain had its wake-up call. She was the psychopath she should be scared of the most.
The most dangerous character in this world. She shoved him away and luckily this time Cedric didn’t force her. She left breathless and speechless.
Cedric leaned to her ears to whisper. "The more you do things the more amusing you are." Abrielle furrowed her brows, unable to understand what he meant by that statement.
"I am glad, you find me amusing." She said with a dry smile. "Be careful around Alfonso, don’t get fooled by his smile." Cedric left a word of advice Abrielle didn’t need because she knew exactly what type of person Alfonso was.
"Thank you for the advice." She replied then he left the tent. As soon as Cedric left the tent his eyes dulled. He had to keep a close eye on Alfonso.
Elias appeared at his side." keep an eye on the princess and Alfonso. This is going to be a long hunt." Alfonso was not the original delegate meant to attend the hunt. He was changed last minute meaning someone gave him information that Cedric was going to attend the hunt.
Back inside the tent, Abrielle was taking a break before the hunt started. She was deep in thought trying to meticulously think of something. A hunt was a good opportunity but now there was an unexpected possibility of the treat Alfonso held
She had to be careful this time not to repeat her mistakes. Now she thought about it, this was going to be very difficult. How she wished running away was possible but she doubted Cedric would let her do it.

There was a welcoming ball at night to welcome all the participants to the winter hunt before the official kickoff tomorrow morning. It was an indoor party in the manor.
Around the late evening, the entire hunt location was already bubbling with different nobles. Abrielle and Cedric wore matching outfits for the event making Abrielle wear a stunning black dress with red highlights.
This was going to be her first official
event with Cedric and she was a bit nervous.
