Chapter 82: Someone Special

The man let one of his hands rest against her nape as he pulled her face closer to deepen the kiss while his other hand came to rest against one of hers. His hand took hold of hers before he entangled their fingers together, causing their moon threads to be pressed together.

It happened just as suddenly as the kiss, a warm energy emerged between their pressed palms and entered her hand, traveling down to her wrist before spreading to her entire body. She felt her own powers reacting to his fire and then she finally felt it - a connection settling between their moon threads.

He kissed her for a few more seconds before finally pulling away. The smile on his lips had her turning even redder than she already was because of the kiss.

She watched as he brought her wrist closer to his mouth and placed a kiss against the moon thread, his lips were like a soft feather against her skin.

She took in a deep breath as she tried not to show just how much his touch affected her and her body. There were two more sets of eyes watching them, after all.

"This is really a good idea. Not only it will create a link between the two of us but my fire energy will also keep you warm and safe from this cold." Kenric said proudly as he gave a little squeeze on her fingers before finally letting go of her hand and stepping aside.

She watched as Valerius approached her next, his smile and eyes both carrying warmth unlike the ice that he controlled.

"Was that really necessary?" She asked in a low voice when he was standing right at the place where Kenric was just a moment ago, knowing fully well that the others could still hear her clearly considering their enhanced hearing.

Valerius chuckled, the sweet voice pulling her attention to his mouth as she found herself anticipating the next few moments. The realization almost had her burying herself inside the carriage but his voice succeeded in distracting her.

"Of course, not. But intimate physical touches help a lot, they make it a lot quicker. And considering we don’t have much time on our hands, it was quite smart of him to think of this to create the connection between the wedding threads."

Annalise knew that he was indeed telling her the truth but at the very same time, she could tell that he was teasing her.

She bit down on her lower lip as she watched him take another step closer to her. He took hold of her hand and entangled their fingers just like Kenric did.

"We are already bonded together through a soulbond and even though it’s just the initial stage, it’s still good enough for us to skip the kissing part and create the connection between our moon threads." He told her as he looked into her eyes.

He brought his face closer to her ear as he whispered, "However... I don’t want to skip it."

A gasp left Annalise’s lips as she felt him pressing a kiss against her earlobe before his mouth trailed kisses down the side of her throat.

She heard Kenric groaning from the distance and she was aware that Lord Damian’s eyes were also fixed on her, but she was too lost to pay attention to anything else.

His lips finally found hers and then he pulled her into a long and deep kiss, one that left her weak on her knees. Thankfully, she was not standing or her legs would have already betrayed her long ago.

This time, the energy that she felt blooming between their pressed palms was that of ice instead of fire. It worked its way inside her body the same way as Kenric’s fire energy did, spreading across her entire body and then some of it settling in the moon thread.

She felt another connection settling with her moon thread, this one connecting her with the first dark lord.

The kiss ended a few moments later and she found herself gasping for her air as her lungs were deprived of the much-needed oxygen.

"It’s done now," Valerius commented as he inspected her moon thread.

Her eyes landed on Lord Damian when Valerius walked away, her heart beating fiercely in both anticipation and fear.

"Are we ready to continue with our journey now?" The third lord asked as he ignored her completely and instead, looked at his brother in question.

Valerius gave her a warm smile before he nodded at Damian and everyone returned to their horses.

"Don’t worry, Valerius and I’ll keep you safe," Kenric told her as he brought his horse closer to the window.

Annalise smiled in response while nodding her head. Her eyes looked at Lord Damian as he rode his horse towards the back of the carriage before she settled down inside in her seat.

The glowing thread on her wrist confirmed the presence of the two lords near her and it filled her heart with a nice type of warmth but at the very same time, a part of her was missing the third presence that she was unable to feel.

Her mind was aware that he was there along with her and the other two lords, but her soul had nothing to confirm his presence around her.

Slowly, she was coming to realize that when it came to the three lords, not only her body and heart but even her soul were involved. Before meeting these three men, she had never even thought about feeling the presence of her soul, let alone recognizing its need for these three men who were becoming the center of her life.

She still couldn’t put in words the feelings and emotions she kept feeling for her husbands, but she knew one thing - they were really someone special for her.
