Chapter 62: The Morning Fun

"Compensation?" Annalise asked hurriedly as she stared at Kenric in confusion.

The man brushed his fingers down her cheeks to her jaw before taking hold of her chin between his thumb and forefingers, making her look right into his eyes.

"Right, compensation. So, are you ready for that? I’ll definitely forgive you."

Annalise opened her mouth but hesitated to speak for the next couple of moments.

"What? You don’t agree?" Kenric asked while arching his eyebrows in question as he stared back at her.

Annalise hurriedly shook her head but when he only raised his eyebrows further in question, she ended up hurriedly nodding her head.

"Little Bird, use words to answer. Your head shakes and nods are puzzling me." Kenric spoke in his husky tone as he brought his face quite closer to hers.

"I... I..." The words still refused to come out as she felt her throat drying up, her entire attention was focused on the closeness of the two men who were almost sandwiching her between them.

Valerius shifted closer to her, almost pressing their bodies together which made her shiver in response. "Is it that hard to answer him?" He whispered the question next to her ear, his warm breath fanning the sensitive skin of her earlobe.

Annalise closed her eyes and took a deep breath before she finally opened her eyes and whispered, "You both... s-stop playing with me..."

"What do you mean?" Kenric asked as he grazed his thumb against her lower lip. "How are we playing with you?"

Annalise whimpered as she felt Valerius’ fingers skimming over her nipples, causing sparks to run all over her body.

"Stars," Kenric whispered as he watched her with hooded eyes. His breathing was uneven and so were his heartbeats. "I had completely different plans for you but look at you now... tempting me like this. How am I supposed to ignore it?"

"What compensation did you want?" She finally found herself asking.

"You."

His instant answer left her shocked. She opened and closed her mouth like a fish. Once again she had lost the ability to speak.

"I want you to help me with something. We will be going out of the castle." Kenric explained further, his voice returning to normal quite a bit.

"Really?" Annalise’s interest was immediately picked and she even tried to move into a sitting position, only to stop when she got reminded of her nakedness when the quilt slipped down her shoulders and over her breasts, leaving her cleavage bare.

A gasp escaped her lips and she hurriedly tried to cover her breasts properly but was stopped when Valerius caught her hand and in the process, left more of her breasts bare to their desired filled eyes.

"I told you to not hide yourself from us," Valerius whispered next to her ear as he pulled their hands to rest against his shoulder.

"But..." Annalise opened her mouth to protest but was stopped when she felt his lips against her earlobe. The soft feathery kiss caused her breath to catch in her throat.

"She’s so tempting," Kenric murmured as he pressed his thumb harder against her lower lip. His eyes returned to be filled with desire as he looked straight into her eyes.

His gaze trailed down her lips to her collarbone and then finally to her breasts where it stayed for a few moments before it returned to her lips and then to her eyes.

Just when she thought that he was finally going to kiss her and end the waiting game, he surprised her by completely pulling away from her and standing up. He turned his attention to look at Valerius as he spoke, "Sorry to disappoint you but you should start moving now. He has been going crazy since last night, making him wait any longer won’t be a good idea."

His eyes returned to look at Annalise as he continued, "I’ll take care of her in the meanwhile." The playfulness in his tone didn’t hide the promises that his words carried with them.

Annalise heard Valerius letting out a deep sigh as he let go of her hand and moved the quilt to cover her breasts and shoulders once again. He made her turn to lay on her back before he placed a soft kiss against her forehead and then one on her lips. The kiss was short but sweet, and it still managed to send icy streaks sizzling down her body.

"I have to leave now. I’ll see you later today. Okay?" His eyes looked at her as he seemed to be asking for her permission which surprised her.

Annalise nodded her head and received another quick kiss from him before he finally moved. A long white robe slipped over his shoulders and down his body even before he was out from under the quilt - another useful trick that she immediately wanted to learn considering her current situation.

She watched as the two brothers shared nods before Valerius gave her a warm smile and then left the library, leaving her behind with Kenric.

"Are you ready, Little Bird?" The man asked as he took steps closer to the couch.

"For what?" She asked in confusion, wondering what he had in mind.

A smile bloomed on his lips as he suddenly closed the space between them and pulled her into his arms with the quilt wrapped around her from head to toe, covering every inch of her body except for her face and feet, even her hands were trapped inside the cocoon that he created with his powers.

"What are you doing?" She asked him in an almost terrified voice as he walked towards the door of the library. The thought of appearing like this in front of any of the servants filled her with utter shame.

"After spending such a hot night with my brother, you should take a bath. I’m taking you there." Kenric replied as he walked through the empty hallway towards the staircases.

Annalise bit down on her lower lip, knowing fully well that she couldn’t make him change his mind about delivering her to the pool room no matter whatever she would say. So instead of saying anything, she just buried her face against his shoulder and prayed to not encounter any of the servants on their way.

She was almost a hundred percent sure that she noticed a smile on Kenric’s lips but when she looked again, there was nothing and he looked completely normal... or way too normal.

It took them a few long minutes but they finally arrived at the pool room and Kenric set her down next to the pool that was filled with warm water and fresh rose petals were floating on the surface. It seemed like someone had already prepared the bath for her.

Her attention was pulled back to her husband when she felt a tug on the quilt that was wrapped around her. "What are you doing?" She asked in alarm when she noticed his hand tugging on the cover.

"Taking it off. Or are you planning to take a bath while wrapped in it?" He sounded almost innocent but she knew better than to fall for his pretense. This husband of hers was anything but innocent. She would a fool to believe otherwise.

"I can do it on my own. You can leave now." She told him as she tried to stay confident even though the fiery look in his eyes was making her feel a lot of other things.

"Really? But what if I don’t want to?" He asked as he brought his face closer to hers, their lips almost brushing against each other.

"I... I’m still a little sore..." She blurted out and immediately felt her cheeks burning, her head lowering as she could no longer look at him.

She heard him chuckling before the man cupped her face between his warm palms, a complete contrast to Valerius’ cold touches, and made her look up at him. "Then let me make you feel better. I’m sure Valerius would have done the best job of taking care of you this morning if not for..."

He trailed off and then let out a small breath before continuing, "... Well, since I promised him that ill take care of you, then allow me to do so. I promise I’ll make you feel way better, and no... I won’t be having sex with you... today."

Annalise gulped down at his words that did unthinkable things to her. The images that his words created in her mind were too illustrating for her. She felt his lips on the side of her throat before he gave another tig on the quilt and it finally gave way.

The fabric slipped down her shoulders but kept her breasts properly covered. His lips trailed down kisses to her shoulders and then back to her throat and then to her jaw.

"Let’s get rid of this." His hands moved to dispose of the quilt and just like that she was once again left completely naked in front of her husband... but this time, it was Kenric.
