Chapter 60: Kisses and Sparks**

Valerius deepened the kiss, his tongue claiming Annalise’s mouth with powerful, luxurious strokes, causing every fiber in her body to come to life.

Annalise felt her mind becoming numb and all that she could think of was the man and his kiss. A soft escaped her lips as she felt her body succumbing to his command.

"Careful with those noises, Annalise," he suddenly warned in a low and heavy voice ad he pulled away from the kiss only to trail his lips over her jawline.

And though a voice in her mind was telling Annalise that she should his warning seriously, she was just unable to hold back the next moan that skipped her mouth as she felt him placing a kiss right under her chin.

Valerius suddenly stopped and pulled away to look at her, and Annalise noticed the way his ice-blue eyes turned dark as he whispered, "I warned you."

So, instead of pushing him away, she tightened her arms around his shoulders and gave another slight tug on his hair. A shudder immediately ran through his body. He finally opened his eyes and looked down into hers as he said, "Are you sure, wife? Because if we continued, if I continued, I won’t be stopping unless I will claim you as mine."

Annalise felt something fluttering inside her at his words, it seemed like she liked the idea of being claimed by him.

He waited for a few moments but when she didn’t let go of him even then, he finally decided to no longer deny himself what he desired so badly.

A gasp escaped her lips when Valerius suddenly grabbed her waist tightly and the next thing she knew, she was placed on the huge couch with him hovering over her. The robe that she had been wearing over her nightgown had already slipped down her shoulders at some point and was sitting on the floor beside her legs.

Valerius slowly lowered his body over hers, making her settle against the support of the couch. His mouth landed a kiss on her lips before it started trailing kisses down her throat. He stopped for a few seconds to place sweet kisses on her pulsing veins before he continued his downwards journey.

His hands caressed her shoulders and traced her collarbone to the top of the black silk nightgown before following the strap over her shoulder and running his fingers up and down a few times. She was definitely not prepared for the moment when he suddenly jerked the strap down her shoulders and exposed her aching breasts. Just when she thought that this was it, she watched with wide eyes as he started taking off his trousers. He used the same trick to remove the underpants that he used on her nightgown and then he was standing completely naked in front of her.

Annalise’s first instinct was to close her eyes or to look away from his naked frame, however, her eyes had their own plan as they refused to listen to her stupid suggestions and did exactly what they desired.

She found herself shamelessly taking in his nakedness. Her eyes traveled over his face as he stared right back at her and strolled down to his shoulders and chest before moving downwards to his fine waist and then even lower.

Valerius put one of his hands around her nape as he pulled her face closer to his and once again captured her lips in a kiss. However, this one was slow, passionate, and full of warmth which was in huge contrast with his icy powers.

His other hand moved over her things as he pulled one of her legs to rest over his and then he was softly grazing his fingers over the inner side of her thighs, causing sparks to fly all over her body.
