Chapter 383: Mystery of Annalise’s Origin (Part Four)

"Accept your defeat." Aerold was on his way to launch one final attack that would end the war for once and for all, and would make him the winner. However...

A laugh escaped the Light Queen’s lips as she staggered while trying to stand up. Once she had found her balance, she glared at the man in front of her and spoke - "My death will never give you what you seek so desperately. I will never let someone like you get their hands on the light energy, not even after my death."

She didn’t have enough time or powers left to even kill a single Shadowlord, let alone all twelve of them along with Aerold, that’s why, she did one thing that she could to keep the light energy and the rest of the world safe.

Before Aerold or the Shadowlords could have understood what was about to happen, the Light Queen disappeared from the front of their very eyes, teleporting to some unknown place that they were unable to track immediately.

A desperate and distressed growl left Aerold’s throat as he stared at the place where the Light Queen was standing not too long ago. Directing his gaze toward the Shadowlords, he ordered, "Find her. Turned this while Realm upside down but find her!"

The Shadowlords were quick to respond as all twelve figures disappeared in purple fog. The black energy also took on the task since it was just as desperate to find the Light energy as Aerold was.

The Light Queen appeared near the Luminous Valley, a hidden part of the Seelie Realm, protected by the pixies of the Woodland. The dark valley lit up immediately as the pixies came out from their hidden spots to welcome their queen only to find her badly injured and covered in blood.

"Your Majesty!"

"What’s going on?"

"Who did this to you?"

The confusion, shock, and fear was clear in the pixies’ tones as they enquired about whatever happened to their queen, someone who was always deemed formidable but was now in such a bad state.

The Woodlands of Seelie Realm were protected by the spirits of pixies and the stones of elements that were hidden there millennials ago. Other than the pixies, the Light Queen was the only other person who knew about the existence of the Luminous Valley and its secrets. Not even her mate, the King of Darkness, knew anything about this secret paradise of the Seelie Realm.

"Protect this valley and detach it from the Seelie Realm. Protect it until the very day the next light bearer appears." The Light Queen ordered the confused pixies and without giving them a chance to ask any more questions, she walked through the invisible veil and entered the secret realm hidden inside the plain sight in the valley.

She crossed the stream and entered the cave, finding her way to the spring where the seven elemental stones were hidden inside the Divine Lotuses. She took several deep breaths and focused on her internal energy that was broken into shreds. Her right hand was stretched out in front of her with her palm facing up as if it was waiting for something.

When she finally opened her eyes a few moments later, there was a giant ball of golden light on her palm, raidiating pureness and immense power that overshadowed the rest of the elements.

"This is..."

The soft voice belonged to Woozi, one of the young pixies. He was also the one who introduced the Light Queen to the hidden Luminous Valley and its secrets.

"The Light energy." The Queen answered as she kept her eyes glued on the golden energy ball in her palm.

Woozi flew closer to take a better look at the Light energy but still maintained enough distance to not become a victim of its immense power. He was mesmerized by what his eyes were seeing but it ended the moment his gaze shifted to the Queen and a sudden thought entered his mind. "My Queen, you can not take this out, or you will..."

"Die." The Queen finished what Woozi was unable to say, and she sounded way too calm despite the gravity of the situation. A sad smile appeared on her lips as she turned her attention toward Woozi and spoke - "But there’s no other choice left for me. I’m no longer able to keep it safe with me. I’m already dying, Woozi, and the last thing I can do is to make sure that I would not fail in my duty as the light bearer and the Queen of this Realm."

Tears flooded Woozi’s eyes as he understood the Queen’s intentions but he dared not defy her, especially when he was unable to help her. "The pixies will follow your orders, My Queen. We will wait for the day when next light bearer will arrive, and hand over the Light energy into the right hands." He bowed his head and left without another word.

The Light Queen watched as the power of Woodland covered the cave and sealed the entrance, locking her inside with the Light energy and the elemental stones.

With a flick of her wrist, a new Ice Lotus grew in the very middle of the circle of the elemental lotuses, much bigger and powerful than the ones surrounding it. Then, she took away a fragment of the Light energy before sending the rest toward the new lotus, hiding it safely inside its bud.

She then cast a spell to bind the bud carrying the light energy with the rest of the elements, sealing it for eternity unless one carrying all the seven elements arrived to retrieve it.

Her eyes then shifted to the little fragment of light energy that she was still holding in her palm. She drew a line across her other palm with a simple thought, and placed it over the fragment of light energy, feeding it with her blood as well as her element of light.
