Chapter 335: Becoming Seelies Reason for Hope
Annalise sat opposite Esmeray in the backyard of his house. They just finished their training session and she took the chance to tell him about her plan regarding the Seelies.
"Do you think it’s a foolish plan?" She asked when the man remained silent for way too long.
"Of course, not."
His simple but straight reply surprised Annalise at first before happiness and relief took over her emotions. If he didn’t find her plan a foolish one, then it was a good sign. "Then why aren’t you saying anything?"
Esmeray let out a small sigh before he responded to her question - "I was just thinking. Your plan of involving Seelies in the upcoming war is actually a good idea. It’s time they return to reality and do something to save their homeland. They need to be a part of this battle."
Finally, someone had the exact same thoughts as her, and the realization made Annalise feel really happy.
"However, you must know that it won’t be easy to make them understand the severity of the situation. It will take a lot of effort and patience to reason with them." Esmeray reminded her, stating the same issue that her husbands were vary of.
"That’s why you need to be the one talking with them. They sure will recognize you and listen to you." Annalise revealed her plan with a bright smile on her face that lasted only until Esmeray didn’t speak.
"The Seelies did respect me as their Queen’s mate but I’m never gonna be enough to make them agree to join us. They need hope, someone to become their support, and I’m definitely not that person."
Annalise stared at the man with a disappointed look on her face. After all the positive responses, now he too was turning her toward a negative corner of her plan.
"If even you can’t do that then who else can? You should have said from the beginning that my plan is impossible." She muttered out while trying to not sound as dejected as she was actually feeling.
"It’s possible, Annalise. You just need the right person for this job." Esmeray reminded her.
"But where am I going to find this right person of yours?" The moment she finished voicing out the question, the answer struck her like a lightning bolt. "No way! You can’t be serious about this."
Esmeray: "I am very much serious, Annalise."
"Me? You want me to talk to them?" Annalise was almost horrified at the idea.
"You aren’t just anyone, Annalise. Your connection with light element and my mate makes you the perfect person for this." Esmeray tried to reason.
"What connection, Esmeray? It’s pretty clear that I’m not her..."
"But you are still related to her in some way, Annalise. We just haven’t found out exactly how." Esmeray wasn’t one to give up.
Annalise became dead silent as she was at a complete loss for words. She could neither deny nor agree with him. It seemed like once again she was trapped in a really troubling situation. Despite her being sure that she was not some reincarnation of the late light fae queen, she knew that her ability to control all the magical elements was because of her affinity to the light element which directly or indirectly connected her to the late light fae queen.
"That’s too hard..." She finally whispered out the words in a small voice. Still, the man heard her loud and clear because of his sharp hearing ability.
"What is so hard, Annalise? Talking to the Seelies?" Esmeray asked as he closely studied the changes in her expressions.
"No. Becoming their hope... that’s too hard. What if..." Annalise trailed off as there was no need for her to finish voicing out the insecurity she was feeling inside.
"Why? Are you planning to lose?" Esmeray asked with his eyebrows arched high as he stared at her.
"It’s not that..."
"Then?" Esmeray wasn’t giving her any chance to save herself. "If you are determined to win, why can’t you give them the hope they so badly seek?"
Annalise just sat there in silence while glaring at the man. When she finally spoke, her words were filled with venom - "Easy for you to say since you aren’t the one stuck in that situation."
Esmeray let out a sigh before he stood up and stated - "It’s up to you, Annalise. If you want the Seelies on your side, you will have to talk to them on your own. I will be there with you and your husbands, but that’s all."
Not wanting to discuss any further on the topic, Annalise raised the next issue at hand. "Right, about my husbands. How are we going to let them step inside here in the Secret Realm?"
When Esmeray turned to look at her, he had a smile stretched on his lips which made her arch her eyebrows high in question.
"You are the lady of this Castle, Annalise. If you want to let anyone inside any of the magical spheres hidden inside here, no one can stop that from happening."
"Oh!"
That was all Annalise could say as she was once again at a loss of words.
The two of them continued to talk for a while before Esmeray decided to start with a new training session. This time, he decided to train her in one of the elements - Air. Just like how light element had the ability to control all the other existing magical elements, the element of darkness had the ability to pair with any of the other elements to boost its powers.
The practice continued for around six or so hours, and it was only when Annalise succeeded in merging two different elements with air to create powerful spells, did Esme was slightly satisfied and agreed to end the session for the day.
That evening after dinner, she told the Dark Lords everything that she and Esmeray talked about and the four of them decided to try and enter the Secret Realm the next day to proceed with the plan.
